    Have 2 of the z1 bleeders in line...that way you get your temps while maintaining stock bleeder location too.

    Was thinking of just replacing the voltage meter with an oil temp gauge, is it easy to just remove one gauge or all they all attached?

    The pod “adapters” are 3D printed from PLA and not ABS. They will melt come summer time. I’m looking for a more clean and robust mounting for my AEM gauges in my factory pod.

    Hey man awesome video! I’m just about to start getting the Aem oil pressure installed but was wondering if I have to remove the factory pressure sensor above the filter if I’m going to be using the mishimoto sandwich plate adapter?

      Cool! One last question, what kind of wire and gauge size did you use to extend the oil pressure wiring to be able to run it all the way into the cabin ?

  • @jasonmaslowski5275
    @jasonmaslowski5275 2 года назад +1

    Did you pull power from the original harness going to the oem gauges? Do you remember what color the wire was if so?? Thanks! Plan on doing this as well my oil pressure gauge is garbage. already tried other fixes to get it to work. so Instead going to do this for more reliable setup 👍

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  2 года назад +1

      I did pull power from the original harness. It’s a 5v IIRC it was green and yellow. The video shows the color I think. Yes this is a much more reliable setup and hasn’t let me down in the past 4 track events.

    These gauge mounts are $12 each! Not 3 for the $12 price sadly. No idea why they would even sell them individually. They do look decent when installed.

    Hi, how did you wire up the sensor for the oil pressure gauge, I’m guessing the original ones are through some sort of data bus so can’t get it from that and need a sensor?

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 года назад +1

      Hey, so the AEM gauge came with an Oil Pressure sensor in the box. The factory sensor was replaced with the AEM one. I did have to get an adapter because the thread pitch and size were different on the VQ35HR block relative to the AEM Sensor. Then all I had to do was run the wires and connect power. Hope that helped.

    Any trimming needed on the factory trim to get these to fit? I’ve heard of fitment issues with the x series gauges but yours look good!

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  2 года назад

      I did have to remove the silver metal trim from the pod holes in order to fit these. There is a gap now but, it doesn't look too bad in my opinion.
