Luckely this car is actually mine today as I bought it back than. It's one of some 5 or 6 known Talbot 1510 cars in the Netherlands. In fact it's a Talbot Simca 1510 build at the short period the old Simca carbrand was rebadged into Talbot. Therefore it's called a "Twin". As an very early Talbot 1510 car it wears a writen "Talbot" badge on it's grill at the front and a "Simca" writen badge on the bootlid at the back while a Chrysler pentastar emblem is found on the centreplate of the steeringwheel. Later cars had a "Talbot" badge on the hood as on the bootlit and a Talbot "T" in a circle emblem on the grill and steeringwheel. This very, very rare basemodell LS has an 1.5L engine connected to a 4-speed manual gearbox. It even has an twotone dashboard which was only produced for a very short periode of time. In fact this all original car still wears it's original immatriculation numberplates from march 1980. Therefore it's an extremely rare surviver today. It really is...😊

Ha-ha !.I remember this one !.My grandpa´ bought a used one of these in about 1982-83,and it was A NIGHTMARE !.It was his first french car so he was not prepared for the french-british-italian concept of "Minor car problems or more,all the time !".Apart from that,he had big problems with his back,and the french version of "low budget seats" makes public transports appear as LUXURIOUS !.On top of that,there was absolute NOTHING you could do in order to warm up the inside (not ideal when you spends the winters in Sweden).Riding with him was like travelling in an igloo on wheels !.I have checked this now in present times,and found that his "Simca 1510" must have been less than 10 years (maybe,just 5 YEARS ?!) when he bought it !.It wasn´t even OLD,but obviosly,totally crap anyway !.After some year or so,he gave up on it and took it to the official car junkyard,where they put it in the mangler before he even had left the spot !.We used to talk about it in later years and laugh about "the worst car he ever had" (and he had had MANY in his life !).I sometimes think about how "Chrysler" got the idea of purchasing "Simca" ?..""Okay,guys !."Ford" has had their own factories in Europe since "Model T"."GM" has their european bestseller "Opel".Now,we have to choose something that can match OUR interests on the continent !.Maybe we could get that german "Audi" before "Volkswagen" takes it ?.Or "Saab",up in Sweden.-It´s not really for sale,but it´s a little corporation,and it´s worth a try right ?" (then a complete idiot of the board wakes up:) ""Listen guys !.Haven´t you heard of FRENCH cars !.I heard that they´re AWESOME !.Almost like cheap british or even budget ITALIAN cars !..."".Inbelievable !.
But actually,the appearence of "Simca 1510" is not bad at all !.But who needs a car that´s only nice to look upon .?

Gutentag Herr Schulz. Ja die 1510 waren tolle Autos. Der Wagen im Film gehoert jetzt mir. Er ist einer von 2 Ueberlebenden Talbot Simca 1510 LS 1,5 in den Niederlanden. Sogar das original Kennzeichen haengt wieder drann.

Very confused badging on these 1980 models. Chrysler on the steering wheel Talbot on the grille and Simca on the tailgate! Very rare car now especially in the UK.

@@user-dl3xy5vd8b If you just look at it,you can say it´s "a copy",i agree on that.But from the beginning,it was actually the Simca 1307 that the russians planned to copy,as a role model for Moskvitch 2141/Aleko.But under their respective chassis,in the end,Aleko and Simca became two very different cars actually.And that goes for the motors,the chassi measurements,as well as for the interiors.By the way,i heard that Putin has plans for starting up the Moskvitch brand again,as a "Look,we can make it on our own",-kind of nationalism,childish propaganda projekt.O´boy..what a character.. 😆
