How you could even think of doing a video like this without including Zero motorcycles is flat out crazy. Those hub motors are crap and don't last. Zero motorcycles are way more refined than any one you featured and just simply blows them away
11kw motor is not just a preference thing. I'm pretty sure it's targeted mainly to European market, where you can ride motorcycles with motors up to 11kw without a motorcycle driving license. Car driving license is sufficient. It’s supposed to be an equivalent of a 125cc class motorcycles.

@@Mr-E. I found out that electrical motorcycles are classified on their nominal power in my country (Belgium). So in case of the Metacycle with a nominal power of 8kW, I should be able to drive it with an A1 license. You should check the rules in your own country to be sure.
The small percentage of people who can actually afford these wouldn't really make a difference in fuel emissions. I'm not really seeing the motorcycle enthusiasts lining up to purchase electric bikes at these premium prices.
I've ridden one, and can say they're fun and the range is underreported by them. It's actually better! They spec out at the same weight, range, speed and price as the original Zero X. Adjusted for inflation, it's a bit cheaper.
If you're showing and speaking the specs of the MetaCycle you don't want to confusingly interweave clips of the bicycle which is an entirely different unit... every few seconds... ya thunk?
When you insinuated the Bonfire is reminiscent of 70s motorcycles you missed the easily identifiable exact bike it's copied from... the Yamaha DT1 250 ENDURO... not "street cafe racers"

The other 3 choices dont even come close. The Verge is the best, no contest. However for a savings of $20,000 you are getting, literally, the next best ride.

I asked for a refund in December of 2021 for Metacycle. The website said $100 deposit. The next day I see a $5000 charge in my account. I canceled the order and have been trying to get my money back ever since.
I ordered the metacycle in December. The website said 100 deposit but they billed my card $5000. I cancelled my order and I have been trying to get my money back ever since. Today they sent me an email asking if I would like to reinstate my order. I guess they think I might rather have the bike than nothing. They are wrong. I know how they treat customers if something fails guaranteed you are left in the cold. These people do not care about their customers at all. I'll sue to get my money back. Better than trying to sue if I get a lemon. Just telling you about my experience with this company to maybe save someone some unneeded headaches.
A couple of great bikes but the prices are a little demanding so great If you have plenty of £££ to throw around the only downside I could detect Is just that, the price or I would order one tomorrow as excellent machines, Hey, unfortunately, It's another case of If only £££, father Christmas could make wishes come true this Christmas!
The part that I find so confusing. The Metacycle is the first one I've seen that has range, highway speed, and price. The other thing I don't get is, why does it take longer to charge these 8kWh and lower batteries than it does to charge my car's 60kWh battery?
@@keithengle592 batteries charge in direct relationship to the input current. Slow charging seems to be a good thing for battery life. I suspect a small less expensive charger is the culprit. The number of hours does not really matter in overnight charging. I use a 1200 watt solar array to charge my stuff , I charge the solar batteries during the day , over night those charged batteries charge the discharged batteries in my battery powered things. No real cost to charge anything and pretty sure of having power , no matter what our current crazy government does.

Range needs to have speed stated. For instance, Sondors states max speed of 80mph, and max range of 80 miles. But this is not actual...to get 80 miles requires driving at 20mph! I can get that out of my Stromer! I canceled my Meta order.

Maybe good to drive from a sunday brunch to having a cappuchino, followed by some Vernisage from that hip artist you recently discovered and ending the day at the opening party for the newest club: A reverse gear? What is this? Some Honda Goldwing in disguise or a narrow-chested Scooter. Again a product built for douchebags and hippsters with too much money to spend. The Black Tea bike is rather a Scrambler than a Cafe racer. Do you guys have any idea of what you're talking about or do you have a five years old writing your texts? You contradict your own statements (looks like a Cafe racer) just 20 seconds later (enduro style). At least the Bonfire X looks like a motorcylce, not some design that should have ended in the dustbin because the designer took too much of the controlled substance he's on. The cake bikes however look like what my 3 years old nephew produced when he wanted to draw a motorcycle. The Bonfire, the Verge TS and the Fuell at least look like motorcycles and somehow have the better range expectances of everything you presented in this video.

Sondors definitely wasn't made by true riders, the way the brakes work is very awkward, and the seat is made for, children I guess? certainly not for adults to ride more than 20 or 30 minutes :\ It has the looks tho, I'll give them that! Widen that seat, and add 3/4" more padding for real adults and that's a nice bike.

Can I drive the Metacycle with A1 license? Because maximum is normally 11kw but the Metacycle has a peak of 14,5kw.

Any electric motorcycle should have battery capacity at least 6000Wh , 3000-4000Wh we are using in enduro ebikes

max range of 200 miles, charges 100 miles in 15 minutes but charges fully in just under 4 hours? smells like bull shit.
Haha. The might be due to the differences between using a Level 2 charger and controller, and using a DC quick charge station.
Also, lithium-ion batteries are quick to charge to 50%, then the charge rate progressively slows. It's better battery management.
