If my neighbor hung up a straight pride flag, I'd go over and with a completely serious face, congratulate them on coming out as straight, especially since the history of oppression of straight people was so long and violent. Then I would ask them how old they were when they figured out they were straight, and if they'd ever dated same-sex people before they realized they were straight. I might even ask if they really thought that hanging the flag where everyone could see it was appropriate, considering there are children in the neighborhood who could see it and might ask some really uncomfortable questions because of their flag. Then I would head home and hoist up bi and lgbt+ flags where they could see them.
As an enby who has had the privilege to live with two wonderful spiky companion critters, I can ease your fears that hedgehogs are *NOT* transphobic at all! They're just snuffly, cute, and surprisingly good swimmers!
@@silverghostcat1924 They do an adorable little hog-paddle! You just have to make sure that they get really thoroughly dry afterwards, because they can catch colds and even pneumonia very easily. Also, they love a trip out to the garden to hunt bugs!
There is a hedgehog that I keep meeting on my evening dog walk the last few weeks, always in the same area so I'm guessing it's the same one. Yesterday I was watching it walk through a patch of grass, sniffing around and scratching it's little belly with its back paw. (I love when they do that - I used to have rats that did it the same way, always with that cute side-lean
I like the term "partner". Are they smooching? in business together? old timey cowpokes? playing tennis? going on a 1st grade field trip? Like, if they're going to be vague about it, I reserve the right to assume the most absurd combination of all possible meanings, LOL
I'm Australia, partner is the main term used by straight couples who have been together for so long that boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't convey the seriousness of the relationship, but they aren't married. The laws here pretty much automatically enter you into a common law marriage of you live together for more then a year (not all the rights of marriage, but certain aspects), so we seem to have a lot more people just happy to stay partners and not get married. I also see everyone using "partner", a non-gendered term, as progress
I would have been so much more petty, and started replacing all my singular "you"s with "thee"s, "Thy"s, and "thou"s, because singular you is a few hundred years newer. "Oh, as you seem to take issue to modern changes to pronouns, I wanted to be respectful and use thy preferred second person pronouns. As thou doth presumably know, the singular use of "you" entered the English language hundreds of years after the singular use of "they", so I didn't want to refer to thee using such incorrect modern grammar."
my tattoo artist, who owns and runs a harry potter themed tattoo shop, has taken down all decorations and only keeps the name because of the legalities it would take to change and all their awards (of which there are dozens) are for said business. she offers harry potter coverups for half her hourly rate. her kid is nonbinary.
The lesbian couple from about 2 mins in were friends for ages, both thinking they were straight then realised they loved each other way more than friends. Got married later because of covid and the blonde woman carried their first baby and the plan was that the brunette one would carry baby 2 but she's focusing on her career so the blonde one is carrying baby 2 as well. They are really sweet and awesome. They're called Julie and Camilla, they call their baby sunny because his name and face aren't public knowledge
Even disregarding the blatant transphobia and making the interviewee so uncomfortable, which is gross, That news anchor lady is objectively unprofessional af. if I was her boss, she’d be putting her stuff in a cardboard box. Props to the person she was interviewing for being so strong because if that was me and I got called a “female” on national television I think I would actually puke.
Fun fact given the mention of hedgehogs- the Sega team is openly supportive of the LGBTQIA++! They’ve been known to come out making full on statements beyond just changing their icon for pride and have known to donate to queer charities! There’s even official Pride Sonic art!
@@Galaxy_wolfy14 Not sure, haven’t seen anything on that. If they did it’d have to be through something more obscure, not a super fan even if we do like the series
I'm genuinely impressed when I see how calmly people like Shiv react to being openly attacked. It's wild how quickly the anchor positioned herself as the victim.
I´m a trans masc nonbinary individual, who hears the "I see you as a girl" a lot (I am 28, but whenever I speak up for myself about misgendering, the infantilization is turned up to 11 for some reason) - so I take my hat off and bow so deeply for the patience displayed in that TV clip O.o Yes, we are all very special queer people and the world would be so boring without us ^^
My mom told me earlier today that I don't have to tell people I'm trans/nonbinary or wear a pronoun pin, I can just live my life. I know she wants what's best for me, but I'm not going into the world letting people misgender me, especially since I still have a few steps to go in my personal transition and I tend to proudly be a pretty feminine person. I don't pass, and I'm not trying to. But I am done letting people see me as something I'm not and doing nothing about it. It is really exhausting, though. Anyway, yeah. It's incredible how calm and patient Shiv was. I have so much respect for them.
@AngelLennie-ot3wh The anti-trans movement moved from claiming that being trans or nonbinary is somehow a new thing to saying we need to be eliminated years ago, get on with the times old man

There's a running 'gag' of people who don't respect pronouns thinking we mean first-person pronouns. I had a guy on twitter switch from calling me "you" to "they" while talking to me as if it made some kind of point, other than them being bloody thick.
JK Rowling has pretty much just killed the longevity of Harry Potter. Millennials and Zoomers who would otherwise share this series with future generations would now let this franchise die.
@@pyxilate Yes, I now plan to wait until my kids are old enough to have deep discussions and explain to them before they're allowed to read it that the author was not the nicest person and some of her views leaked in to her writing, so read it with a mind that not everything is correct.
The only Harry Potter fanfiction that I firmly believe is canon is where a trans girl tried the stairs going to the girl dormitory and the stairs let her, confirming her identity. If my daughter wants to read HP, I would include fanfiction like this
I say write something better. To any aspiring writers, don't try to write the next Harry Potter. Instead, write something uniquely yours that only you can bring into the world. You can let your favorite stories inspire you, but don't copy them. Learn from them, including from their mistakes.
I thought the same thing. Even when they don't know the situation. Imagine their face if they were told that the father's dad was dead or the baby was conceived by rape etc. Learn to shut your goddamn mouths, you nosey pricks
Yup, I hated my father, avoided him as soon as I was not living at home anymore and was not sad when he suddenly passed away a few years ago. Not the biggest fan of my mom either, but it's more indifference than hate. She is a stranger I happen to know all my life. As long as the child has loving parents, it doesn't matter in the slightest if they have both mom and dad, two moms, two dads, enby parent(s), a single parent, three parents (like bio parents + step parent as example). The most important thing is, that the child experiences love, support and guidance.
Also a Dutch study found that children of same-sex parents outperform children of opposite-sex parents in pretty much every significant metric, like academical, mental health etc.
Tbh dads often do a lot of great things. Not saying a dad being around is necessary but remember that neither is a mom. Personally my mom was abusive and my dad's always taken care of me while also providing for the household and doing all the chores when I was little. I feel like everyone needs a role model who's strong and can teach independence, and one who's loving and nurturing. In traditional heteronormativity, that's the dad and mom in that order, but it doesn't have to be. The genders can be flipped, or both be male, both be female, there could be a non-binary person or two, it doesn't even have to be the parents tbh could be uncles or aunts or grandparents or a close family friend, one person could even theoretically fill all the roles if they're just that awesome! What's important is that a child grows up feeling loved but gets taught how to function independently as they get older
Maybe, but dads can also be amazing. My take is a kid just needs parent/parents that love them unconditionally, keep them happy and healthy, teach them what they need to know, and supports them as they grow.
14:18 The reason Pride exists and is called "pride" is because we gays were told constantly that we should be ashamed for merely existing. That our very existence is "disgusting". So after Stonewall, when we rose up and finally fought back, we said No to being told we should be ashamed of being in love, ashamed just because we existed, No to being made to feel shame by others. We were going to be proud to be gay [in analogy to the "Black is Beautiful" campaign of the 1970s]. And it wasn't even called "Pride" originally, but was the "Gay Liberation March". Then it became a Gay Rights March. Then it became a Pride _March._ Not a parade: we took to the streets, without official sanction or even permission of the authorities. Even in the 1990s, Pride Marches were still a protest-march. And that's your history lesson from me, Internet Uncle-Gay🏳🌈. Oh - and the reason why Pride turned into an entire month: (1) Corporations thinking they could make money that way; and (2) Scheduling Conflict. You see, originally, the "Gay Liberation" March was on the weekend closest to the anniversary of Stonewall. Most big US cities with a "gayborhood" would hold Pride Marches then. Philadelphia, however, held theirs on a different weekend. Philly is within a half-day's drive of both Washington DC and NYC, so not wanting their Pride March to be empty because everyone was going to those 2 cities, they just held theirs on a different weekend in June. And as smaller cities and towns started having their own Pride Parades during the 00s and 10s, the places close to a major city would schedule their Pride on a different weekend in June than the nearby major city's Pride. Hudson, NY, where many people who work in NYC have a weekend home, holds its Pride the first weekend in June. So, in the 00s, it was less "June is Pride Month" and more "Every weekend in June, there's a Pride event". Which ate up all of the weekends for PFLAG, welcoming/reconciled churches and synagogues, and LGBT+ choirs, because they ended up invited to march in pretty much every Pride Parade in driving distance. The corporations, as we all know, took notice last decade and started advertising as if all of June were one month-long Pride Party. But they sure showed their true [lack of] colors in recent years by abandoning us queers as fast as they could, now didn't they?
@@nightmaredream8515 Please remember to share it in the decades to come to the generations following yours. With places like Texass and Ronde Sandtits in Floriduh censoring our queer history, it's up to us to make sure we don't lose it.

I'm pretty aghast at how much ground Britain has gained in the Bigotry Olympics over the previous reigning champions, the USA, with this anti-trans panic. It's wild how quickly and virulently they hurled themselves into hating people existing differently.
Well, sadly, we have had the Tories in power for 14 years now. They're going after everyone who isn't them. They are now starting on disabled people again. Only more aggressively, it seems now that we no longer have protections from Europe. Pretty sure they are hoping we (queer & disable people alike) will all just take ourselves out if they make our life miserable enough.
as a British trans person, yes, it is insane. sure it was always a problem, but seems like a whole bunch of transphobes suddenly awakened, just in my area alone I've had more bad experiences lately
I had a coworker named You. That was her legal name that she was born with, because she's from an culture where You isn't a pronoun, it's a first name, because their language isn't English. (I don't want to say the exact ethnicity because it's a very small group and last time I mentioned it in a RUclips comment, someone pinpointed exactly where I live from the context clues, which was freaky) But yeah, I guess that news anchor would refuse to call her You, because it's not "grammatically correct"
A few seasons ago, Doctor Who (which is also potentially confusing) had a character who called herself Me. Which got confusing when they were asking The Doctor if he (Capaldi was The Doctor at the time) knew the identity of the current enemy, and he thought it was Me.
Julie and Camilla are my favorite Norwegian internet lesbians! The joke that they’re moving fast is because when the first moved in together, they were “straight” lol.
15:58 "I'm in my thirties, yay" made me so happy because a lot of the time people say "oh no, poor you, your youth is over" or bullsht like that and I'm so happy you also think it's just such an amazing time of your life!
I actually don't have a problem with people not using "They" as a singular pronoun, provided they don't use singular "You" either. "You" is the 2nd person plural in English. Singular "You" Is "The" and "Thou"((obvs, this is ridiculous; language evolves; but fyi, singular "they" is literally older than singular "you".
The sentence " *you are* not a plural", especially coming after "I use correct grammar" is just ridiculous. Not only did she clearly use plural grammar for a single person, she also managed to cook up "a plural"; a phrase that can only be correct in informal speech. She is showcasing both how she is wrong and how she doesn't actually give a solitary damn about standardised English grammar. I wonder if these people could even comprehend grammatical gender of Old English. Saying "woman" and using masculine grammar would be the grammatically correct way of speaking. But modern English is so far removed from stuff like grammatical gender or T-V distinction that these supposed champions of "correct" language wouldn't be able to get accustomed to it.
It's the same thought-terminating cliche as "basic biology". It's not correct, it's not that simple, and you could have it explained to you a million times but it's what everyone else on your "side" is saying so that makes it true.
As someone who learned Old English, I think English speakers should just start over and stick to the Late West Saxon standard that was barely established by (and fell apart after) 1066.
Unfortunately many teachers explicitly teach singular they is wrong. I had a high school English teacher who was so vehemently against singular they she would often accidentally mark plural they as wrong. And this was before I knew trans people existed, so long before it was the new boogeyman. I tried to bring it up to her, but she told me that if she marked it wrong, it was wrong. I ended up writing something petty like "A group of he's and she's went to the park", only to be told that I was supposed to use they, then got in trouble for pulling out the previous draft and asking why it was marked incorrect.
I had the same experience as waffles. Ashamedly, I was also one of those grammar pedants for a long time-I didn’t refuse to use the singular they if those were someone’s pronouns, but I did complain to myself because “they is plural!” It wasn’t until I saw a comic combatting this logic where a character was complaining about the grammar before referring to a bad driver as “what are they doing?” It sounds silly, but reading that comic made me actually stop and think about how often *I* used the singular they in everyday scenarios, so what was the problem? Of course I know now that the singular they has been around for centuries, but it definitely wasn’t something I was taught throughout my schooling, and I majored in English Literature. It’s not an excuse to continue being ignorant, but I can understand why some people would be confused at first.
@@Rikrobat yep, like I can understand it confusing people, but refusing to learn after that just because someone hates trans people is plain bigotry. I wish more people could learn and grow.
I had the same problem, growing up in the South. It was drilled into me that they/them was exclusively for plural representation. It's taken some time for me to reprogram my writing and speech to actually default to they/them (unless I'm certain of a person's gender). My husband still struggles with it, as do my parents. But they all would just apologize and try to correct themselves if they accidentally misgendered someone. The insistence on being a "grammar" nazi to the detriment of another person's identity is just pointless or deliberately offensive.
"Would they say 'kids need a father' to a single mother?" Yes. I had someone I had confided in tell my abusive ex that I was leaving because the kids need a father.

re: the shampoo/product sharing. I'm nonbinary & married to a cis man, we like different body washes and I need different shampoo for medical reasons, but we share toothpaste :)
Yeah I didn't know sharing toothpaste was weird. Sharing body wash, shampoo and conditioner I know can be hit or miss because of different needs or scents.
Same. I'm non-binary and my partner is a trans woman, but we only share regular shampoo, conditioner and face wash, but each have our own body wash, dandruff shampoo, and I have two different acne face washes (not used at the same time). We just got one of those big caddies that go over the shower head and it all fits fine. She can technically use my products (and does if she runs out of hers), but mine can be 5x the price due to my skin issues. Gotta love dandruff shampoo being dollars per ounce instead of ounces per dollar.
This just reminds me of when I worked at Lush, a woman came in wanting to buy stuff for her son (I think he was about to go travelling?) me “great, what’s his hair/skin type?” Her “…mens?” She was perplexed that products were sold by type/function rather than just having ‘for men’ stamped on them 🙃

Fun fact: It has infact been proven that having two parents is better for the development of children than one. And guess what? The study specifies parents not because its faster than saying "mom and dad" because it turns out the gender doesn't matter. Children just succeed the more love and support is available.
i wonder then if having three parents (or more) is even better. for example a step parent and the relationship ended well or your parents are polyamorous. hmmm..
@@lokiijustwannasleep7865 So long as the relationships are positive and the children's care is the top priority it'll be good. There is actual evidence for the old saying "It takes a village", rearing children used to actually be communal rather than separated by family.
Admittedly 3+ parents/high involvement by grandparents/god parents performs even better. One of the "gay biology" takes I enjoy is that the kids in catholic clergy families did better in the middle ages than of their uncles had an equivalent secular office (aka was allowed sex/claiming parenthood of kids)

Bethesda are very good at including diversity in their games (yes Fallout is also a Bethesda property, good job Jamie!). Now if only they could make the games work properly, we could properly enjoy said representation!
Idk about you but I think the glitches in fallout 4 just make it even better. If I couldn't glitch mods onto the wrong weapons the game would be completely different to me
My parents are cis/het and went through a nasty divorce. I'd have been much better off emotionally and developmentally with happy and healthy gay/lesbian parents.
my husband and I don't use the same shampoo because he thrives on cheap "every day" shampoo with a lemony scent, while my curly hair needs a million different types of butter to not explode as soon as it's dry. Meanwhile his moisturizer is extra hydrating because he has dryer skin on average, while I get by on the cheap whatever I could find. We do use the same body wash/shower gel and toothpaste tho. If we didn't have different hair and skin types we'd probably use the same shampoo and moisturizer too. - I wouldn't call ourselves a cishet couple because I don't identify as cis or hetero (Bisexuals rise up!), but it's how people typically perceive us.
Yep. My partner and I only share a few things because I have annoyingly sensitive skin that has issues with many of the common ingredients in shampoo, body wash, etc. She can use my products, but they are often several times the price.
i'm more worried about how the news reporter DECIDED to WASTE everyone's time on discussing AND disrespecting how shiv wants to be referred to, and didn't focus on the ACTUAL news. listen you can be queerphobic (you shouldn't though) but that should NEVER justifies such behavior on camera, let alone disregarding the important information

It's SO funny that sweaty gamers are mad about the fallout tv show being "too woke" when the games are all social commentary on capitalism, racism, classism, sexism, etc. It has a 1950s flavor specifically and intentionally so it can comment on those topics through the lens of an era which is notorious for those things. Anti-Chinese sentiment is very strong in the games in particular, and the whole point is that the red scare kept everyone from realizing the US government was to blame for the world ending because they could all just blame "the reds." The games are pretty woke, these people just lack media literacy and didn't notice because they could make their protagonists a Generic White Action Dude.
It's insane to me how many lesbian couples with a bay are subjected to the "child needs a dad" nonsense. Statistically speaking, women in straight relationships are those who more often take care of their children anyway. Not to mention, men are those who leave pregnant woman very easily, while making fun of the single moms; aka the parent who stuck around. Their logic is all sorts of wrong. I'm not saying there aren't fathers who love their kids and give them equal amount of attention, affection and time as their mothers, but generally speaking, many men just don't do much for their children.
Harry Potter was one of my hyperfixations, but ever since I learned about Rowlings transphobia I can’t touch any of her media without feeling guilty. It’s just gross.
Here's your reminder that trans people are valid, they/them has been used singularly for years, and a combination of physical and/or emotional traits doesn't determine your gender! Live and love how your please 🏳️⚧️
EDIT: formatting, added TL;DR, and fixed some weird autocorrect mistakes that I didn't catch before TL;DR You do you and try not to shame people of they want to keep their Harry Potter tattoos or continue to love the franchise. I know there's a whole discourse about whether "death of the author" can or should apply to JK Rowling. Here's my personal opinion, though. I have found joy in the Wizarding World. Similar fans of the series have created a community which may be based around that world, but it's also separate and beyond the original content and I find joy being a part of that community. When I celebrate the Wizarding World, I celebrate this community, not the author. I don't currently have a Harry Potter tattoo (and I don't currently plan to have one), but my wife does. Since I am trans and since she is also LGBT+, she is well aware of the impact of the author's words and the power of her platform. We as a couple have agreed to not spend a cent on any officially licensed Wizarding World merchandise. Tattoos are not licensed. And more than that, they are an expression of something you love. It is possible to love something without loving where it came from. And as long as your love for that thing does not actively contribute to suffering, then there shouldn't be a problem with that love alone. Again, this is why we don't support the Wizarding World brand but we might still buy from unlicensed sources. (Bit of a loose comparison, but it's the same thing with like big market stores that have unethical labor practices or certain fast food places that fund certain anti-LGBT groups. We find other ways to get the merchandise or food that we want). All in all, of you have a Harry Potter tattoo and you want to keep it, that's fine. If you feel better covering it up, that's fine too. Basically what I'm saying is let people be and don't shame them if they still want to express their love for a franchise which has some shit attached to its creation/creator. As long as they aren't actively supporting said shitty creation/creator, it shouldn't be a problem. Anywho, uh... end of rant, I guess :p
I agree, but as I'm cishet I know my perspective is very different from someone affected by transphobia. I think it's an interesting discourse, one that I'm happy to watch people in the LGBTQ+ community talk about as I want to hear other's opinions.
ive always figured "they/them" can either refer to a group of people or a singlular person of undisclosed gender though i have had more than one person become confused when i have used 'they/them' to refer to a singular person. every time ive refered to my unborn children as they/them i have been asked if im having twins (even though a pciture of my ultrasound showing one baby snugly nestled in my coning chamber.
There's good reason to not share shampoo and conditioner. People have different types of hair with different needs. Someone with dry hair needs moisturizing products which would not be useful for someone with oily hair. And interracial couples need to jeep this in mind too. I only just started learning about hair types of peiple with african descent, and that goes into their hairstyles too. Honestly it's an interesting topic, and useful to learn about the issues that people deal with that are so common place that it's never even considered. Even if it's knowledge that I'll never personally use. Though i guess my fascination could also come from ADHD hyper fixation. And as he requested: 🏳️🌈
When some native English speakers themselves don’t know basic English grammar, something is definitely wrong. I’m not a native English speaker, but I think I know English grammar better than they do.
As a native speaker, we do not know how to speak our own language nor any others because we are ✨️stupid✨️ (/j, not all of us are but transphobes who don't use they/them because its "grammatically incorrect" definitely fit it)
As a native speaker, a primary school teacher, and an English teacher, I would assume that you do know English grammar better than most native speakers, if you're anywhere near high B2 to C1 or higher English (high scoring Cambridge First Exam or better). Very few native speakers will be able to tell you what the difference is between "I wrote some books", and "I have written some books", for instance. And they're totally unaware that there's an order that adjectives need to go in to sound right. They just know when it sounds wrong. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Native speakers have forgotten all their lessons from primary school. When it comes up in conversations, I often get asked by adults, "What's a preposition?" or "What do you mean by subject verb object?"
i think on of the things that pissed me off the most about the news anchor is the "you're not a plural" comment. as an actual system that didn't sit right with me. they/them can be used singularly
I love being plural and being non-binary because while I do use he/him most if anyone tries to say they/them is incorrect because I'm not plural, I can yell at them for going on the offense because of transphobia when I am actually plural.

The people who brought up selfcare products made me think of something. My parents (dad and stepmom) had the cutest night routine and my and my sister always laughed when we saw them do it. My stepmom did it first by herself, she got her water bottle socks, toothbrush, etc done first. Then she did skincare one for face, one for lips, and one for eye bags. She did this for years before we met her and she became me and my sister primary maternal figure. Well the story goes my dad saw her do this and would ask for her to put it on him.

The laws here pretty much automatically enter you into a common law marriage of you live together for more then a year (not all the rights of marriage, but certain aspects), so we seem to have a lot more people just happy to stay partners and not get married. I also see everyone using "partner", a non-gendered term, as progress

As someone whose best friend is a single mother, sadly people do ask "what about the dad?" to single mothers... People just have no boundaries tbh
I thought the same thing. Even when they don't know the situation. Imagine their face if they were told that the father's dad was dead or the baby was conceived by rape etc. Learn to shut your goddamn mouths, you nosey pricks
Yeah...I was going to comment that, as well.
12:11 “Poor child won’t have a dad.” ‘Coz we all know the impeccable track record of dads throughout history lol
Both of my parents:
I'm legit getting a tattoo covered up because people keep on mistaking it for a Harry Potter deathly hallows thing. I'm beyond tired of it.

@@TheWerewolfOfNorway-mf5jz Olaf Scholz.
That was a whole ass story that I read and I loved it

I actually don't have a problem with people not using "They" as a singular pronoun, provided they don't use singular "You" either. "You" is the 2nd person plural in English. Singular "You" Is "The" and "Thou"((obvs, this is ridiculous; language evolves; but fyi, singular "they" is literally older than singular "you".
Jamie: Hedgehogs better not turn out to be phobic in any way.
Me: Same, the real Sonic the Hedgehog would never be a bigot.

5:20 Clearly, some people missed the day their English teacher taught pronouns. There seems to be so many of them these days.
My best friend is bi and she recently realized that her "type" when it comes to guys is short Latinos with ADHD and that it all roots back to Leo Valdez from Heroes of Olympus.
honestly as an nb bisexual guy (fem leaning) i do also love all women and one very, very specific type of man
As a fellow bisexual nb, same
Thank you Jamie for another awesome video!
The fact Shiv didn't just straight up disconnect and leave that transphobic snowflake to deal with filling out the time slot shows their incredible strength of character.
I have a simple Deathly Hallows tattoo on the inside of my right wrist. Instead of having it covered, I'm thinking of having it colored in by the trans flag colors.🏳️⚧️ 12yrs ago my son and I got matching HP tats for his 18th bday, so it has too much personal meaning to get rid of entirely. (For record I'm transmasc nonbinary, my kid is gender fluid)
I think it'd be really cool, heard someone suggests the idea of having an hp tattoo and writing on it "it's ours now bitch" in trans colours, personally I think the recolour idea sounds great
My mother often tells me she didn’t expect me to be trans.
My mom’s a lesbian. (She came out late in life)
And my dad was a bisexual polyamorus drag queen.
I don’t know how she *didn’t* expect the alphabet genes to run in the family.
Bethesda are very good at including diversity in their games (yes Fallout is also a Bethesda property, good job Jamie!). Now if only they could make the games work properly, we could properly enjoy said representation!
Idk about you but I think the glitches in fallout 4 just make it even better. If I couldn't glitch mods onto the wrong weapons the game would be completely different to me
I think the headless corpse running around and the random cave bear plummeting from the heavens only enhanced my Skyrim experience...
Elder scrolls 6 is up next, cross your fingers.
My parents are cis/het and went through a nasty divorce. I'd have been much better off emotionally and developmentally with happy and healthy gay/lesbian parents.
I love your username! 💖
@@missnaomi613 Thanks! It's funny how it sometimes startles people into saying all kinds of cringy stuff. XD
my husband and I don't use the same shampoo because he thrives on cheap "every day" shampoo with a lemony scent, while my curly hair needs a million different types of butter to not explode as soon as it's dry.
"Hedgehogs better not turn out -phobic" Don't worry, Sonic would never do this to us
i'm more worried about how the news reporter DECIDED to WASTE everyone's time on discussing AND disrespecting how shiv wants to be referred to, and didn't focus on the ACTUAL news. listen you can be queerphobic (you shouldn't though) but that should NEVER justifies such behavior on camera, let alone disregarding the important information
3:17 Camilla and Julie are doing IVF again for their second baby. They are a wonderful couple and I love watching their videos. Their home renovations are amazing as they’ve done some incredible things - not all my taste but some awesome techniques that I’d never have known about!
Thank you for this!! Positive LGBTQ+ content is perfect for today 💜💜
PLEASE tell me that newscaster lost her job!
I am a queer woman in my 30s and used to be a potterhead. No tattoos to regret, though😅
I guarantee most of the people offended by the tv show had the social commentary of the video games fly right over their heads.
Ig I need Shiv's confidence to survive in this world as an enby T T They are so cool!
Not to mention single mothers get a load of flack for not having the father around also
@@elaineb7065 I wrote that
Jammie, as a 35yo, if you are a second over 30, you can say you're in your 30s.
Harry Potter was one of my hyperfixations, but ever since I learned about Rowlings transphobia I can’t touch any of her media without feeling guilty. It’s just gross.
Homophobics forget a lot of npc who can be companions in fallout 4 are basically bisexual
Here's your reminder that trans people are valid, they/them has been used singularly for years, and a combination of physical and/or emotional traits doesn't determine your gender! Live and love how your please 🏳️⚧️
EDIT: formatting, added TL;DR, and fixed some weird autocorrect mistakes that I didn't catch before
TL;DR
You do you and try not to shame people of they want to keep their Harry Potter tattoos or continue to love the franchise.
“You don’t have a dad”
My gosh, something we obviously have in common🤯🤯🤯
Hi,as a genderfluid polyamorous bisexual person (god that was alot) this channel is awesome.keep up the good work 👍😁

"Why is Fallout woke now 🤬"
👨🚀🔫👨🚀 "Always has been"
ive always figured "they/them" can either refer to a group of people or a singlular person of undisclosed gender though i have had more than one person become confused when i have used 'they/them' to refer to a singular person.
every time ive refered to my unborn children as they/them i have been asked if im having twins (even though a pciture of my ultrasound showing one baby snugly nestled in my coning chamber.
The first character in a video game to ever say the word "bisexual" was Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Regular reminder that you're all awesome, beautiful and valid little spuds, just the way you are ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 Love you all ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

I love how all the "queer over 30" and "queer couple" ones fit me and my partner perfectly. Except we're straight and cis 😂
When some native English speakers themselves don’t know basic English grammar, something is definitely wrong.
I’m not a native English speaker, but I think I know English grammar better than they do.
As a native speaker, we do not know how to speak our own language nor any others because we are ✨️stupid✨️
(/j, not all of us are but transphobes who don't use they/them because its "grammatically incorrect" definitely fit it)
As a native speaker, a primary school teacher, and an English teacher, I would assume that you do know English grammar better than most native speakers, if you're anywhere near high B2 to C1 or higher English (high scoring Cambridge First Exam or better).
I love being plural and being non-binary because while I do use he/him most if anyone tries to say they/them is incorrect because I'm not plural, I can yell at them for going on the offense because of transphobia when I am actually plural.
now i dont usually like judging or questioning people's choices but that sounds (to put it nicely) unnecessary
You are a huge inspiration to me mate, I've watched your videos since I was 9 and it was you who helped me realise I was trans. I'm now 5 years into my transition and I start T next week ❤ I just wanted to share my love and support for your channel and It's been great watching it grow over the years.
I have a Harry Potter tattoo, I’m super glad you can’t tell it is, giant Phoenix is just a giant Phoenix now :)
7:33 she’s so flustered, and her bigotry keeps getting worse. I wouldn’t be able to be so calm. Kudos to them.

Omg, my blood was boiling over that news anchors comments, I never would’ve been able to stay so calm in that situation, I couldn’t even stay calm watching the clip, lol, kudos to them for how they handled it.
Literally that was so impressive
The singular they is older than the singular you!
Jamie you seem so happy and it’s so wholesome! Sometimes I feel worried about what the future might bring for me as a trans guy, but starting T had already done so much for me so I try to be optimistic. You and Noah are such big inspirations to me so thank you.
17:23 🏳🌈Queer person here: I wouldn't do that because products need to be adapted to the individual person's needs. I wouldn't share my hair products unless my partner had the exact same hair situation (which won't happen anyway because I am not into people who look like me), and skincare shouldn't be shared for hygienic reasons.
Ugh I would love to see a show with Mercury Stardust and Jamie in it, that is so much positivity it would be so amazing
I love these videos they always make my day
Indeed
The people who brought up selfcare products made me think of something. My parents (dad and stepmom) had the cutest night routine and my and my sister always laughed when we saw them do it. My stepmom did it first by herself, she got her water bottle socks, toothbrush, etc done first. Then she did skincare one for face, one for lips, and one for eye bags. She did this for years before we met her and she became me and my sister primary maternal figure. Well the story goes my dad saw her do this and would ask for her to put it on him. It has become a routine and it it the most adorable thing I have ever seen
