Late to the party but I just discovered your channel. I can't believe in all the time I've lived around here I didn't even know about the Garfield trail. I've driven by that Garfield in Swayzee (#3) so many times on the highway but never realized it was part of something bigger! BTW, the Cool Cat Garfield is in Fairmount, I noticed. Fairmount was the hometown of actor James Dean (and where he is now buried) so I'm guessing that's why he's decked out as a cool cat. I'm going to have to go try to find all of these now.
Glad you discovered my channel. This was an unscheduled side trip, I saw the pamphlet at a rest stop. I've always enjoyed Garfield since I was a kid so I figured it would be fun to find them all. If your planning to find them all, be prepared to do a lot of driving. 😊
There are Garfields in Muncie also. I have seen all of these except for the Paws. That is last on my list. I'm starting Muncie Garfield Trail (mostly inside buisness) this weekend.
I like this. It's a nice small concept , not only for who's fan of Garfield, but also a nice way to travel around the city and visit the city. I m 100% sure most of theses small statues where specificaly placed next to important or interresting building/places. We used something similar in my city years ago. to promote a bit of tourism, kind of like a mini game, discovery and in same time a city tour. worked like a charm. (but then mayor changed and they completly changed the city :/) i m surprised that none of the statue was next to a pizzeria XD
It was an impromptu activity, I found the brochure at a rest stop. Took a bit longer to complete than I had planned but it was fun. Jim Davis grew up in that area, it's a nice way for the area to pay respect to him. I was surprised there wasn't a lasagna Garfield 😁
This is awesome!!! Thank you for taking us on the Garfield Trail adventure! So cool.
It pays to visit the welcome center's" I found the information about the Garfield Trail and thought it would be fun. Glad you enjoyed it 😊

I watched Gardfield many times when I was a kid
I mostly know of Garfield from the comics in the newspaper. I have seen a few episodes of the cartoon.
