Love that their competitive career was always so athletic and artistic and now they’ve really brought the emotion and dance back to the sport. Beautiful as always 💜
Aaah, i miss them so much. They will always be my favorite ice dancers! Hope they will dance to Bollywood songs again in the future, their Vancouver performance was so iconic
These two had that extra special “something” when they skate, you really see it in this routine. I wish the whole song had been filmed, I wondered why it was cut. Aside from that, this was a beautiful routine that Charlie choreographed and a beautiful job of capturing it Jordan. I wish they were still skating.🙁
This feels like it has some ballet vibe to it, really beautiful. These on ice perspectives and the way you capture them are the best thing ever. Thank you so much for doing all this work and creating this wonderful content for everyone around the world to see.
Absolutely gorgeous! Meryl and Charlie were my favorite ice-dance duo while I first really started watching all the international competitions (they created such diverse, difficult, wonderful short and long programs every year, starting with "Samson and Delilah"). I saw a video of a 'performance' of "Lilac Wine" a while ago, but, Jordan, your up-close and personal capture of their rehearsal of this beautiful program (I believe it was the first one that Charlie completely choreographed for the two of them) is really special. Thanks for another awesome "On Ice Perspectives" moment.
That lilac dress is beautifull. Love their performance but phantom of the opera is one of their best routine and i hope you can invite them to rerecord phantom of the opera routine
Is the song, in this bit of choreography, from the perspective of Charlie, or Meryl? Though it is a male voice, I somehow feel the song is from Meryl's perspective (as in the character she is portraying i.e. the female lover) - coz she enters and activates Charlie, so it seems he is the phantom (no pun intended) of the lost lover she conjures under the influence of lilac wine. Also, Charlie seems more to be shadowing her moves. Also also, during the lifts it is like the memory of their love that is lifting her... Anyway, that's my interpretation... What do people think?
In this crazy world we live in, it’s nice to see such a beautiful performance as this.

Love them but do miss Charlie’s blond wild locks.

@lawomann Charlie also did the choreography for the awesome 2019 FD of pairs team from France, Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres.
I hope Charlie and Meryl will take back to the ice - and will share with us some more of this kind of insightful performances
Ugh...they are so beautiful
Such a soft and touching dance🕊️

My all-time favorite program is Samson & Delilah. Not a lot of people can pull of wearing yellow but Meryl rocked it.

I believe it’s through Meryl’s perspective.
Can anyone tell me who did the choreography?
Charlie😁!!
You cut their feet a bit too often - However, I loved their performance - they are such wonderful artists
1:03 though. 0_0

They were my favorite skaters in competitions but this is boring.
This was soo beautiful...just a different style these two did. It is 2022 and I still watch their videos.
