I was so young when I was here, now I’m 44 and going grey. Life moves fast, people. Make it count.
Same
That's the truth! 46 for me, where did the time go?
Was it as bad as the media made it I know the last night was shit but besides that how was it.
@@raymondsmith9886 I slept in a tent with some friends and I remember it was very hot during the day, I drank some expensive beer, but more water! People were definitely doing drugs on the premises, though I am not and have never been into that scene so I stayed clear. How they got through all the strict security I don't know. I remember that Collective Soul's stage was changed and I think Ice Cube was on when/where Collective Soul had been scheduled, and I was like, wtf is this?! LOL! And I remember that the porta johns were overflowing pretty early on, and I went probably the longest I've ever gone without taking a crap! Waited until I got home for that! I do remember seeing Metallica perform I think as a thunderstorm approached. We left early before the riots broke out on the last day so luckily I missed all of that fun!
44 my friend your still young I thought I would never see 50 but it happened. The fun we had in our early days with Bloody Mary’s to help to not remember the next day are the late 80s through the 90s into the what’s next. Shit Adam cut his profile off and shaved. Still love him
0:30-Mr. Jones
6:12-Angels of the Silences
10:00-Rain King
15:58- Anna Begins
21:41-Omaha
26:00-Recovering the Satellites
31:37-Round Here
41:47-Hanginaround (Ft. Gigalo Aunts)
46:47-Long December
51:55-Have You Seen Me Lately
57:00-Murder of One
Thank you ❤
Thx alot
This is a performance I didn't know existed before the deluge of terror that festival became. Not their best but I love everything about it
My late wife and I were there. It was 4 days of musical bliss. The talent all in one place was amazing
Great memories. Met so many great people back then
I was there, this brings back a lot of memories... thanks for posting
I worked with the Colonel and the Swede who were at the 1st Woodstock back in 1969. They had great stories about the event.
Was you flashin boobies??
Such a legendary band.
My friend Steve grew up with and had a starting band at 13 with the lead singer of the counting crows. I think of this all the time! The picture is in his living room since I've known him since the 1980's beginning 90's. He never joined his friends band now known as the counting crows, but is still involved in the music business as a back up and news back up person in the Philadelphia area. I am very envious and proud of him ~
Steve bowman
Shout out to both Adam and your freind very awsome
I was in that crowd way back there somewhere. Man, where does the time go? Glad these were captured and shared - appreciate the performances even more now!
This band just gets better and better…. And better!
Just last night I watched the amazing HBO documentary about Woodstock 99. They showed no footage of this performance, but it did get a mention in the diary they kept quoting from from the poor guy who went to the event but tragically collapsed and died from heat exhaustion. He wrote that they didn't play their songs the way they do on their records but he still enjoyed them. It is of course true that they are prone to 'reinterpret' their songs when playing live, which seems to annoy some casual fans but delights long-standing devoted fans who love their ability to make every show different from the last. I can recommend the documentary, which is an eye-opening insight into how this massive event went spectacularly off the rails.
Yeah, why showcase the REAL music that was there…just highlight all the bs, typical
These guys are in my top 5 for sure 🤟 His emotion is undeniable,an makes me feel alive even for a moment...
If only I had been a few years older at the time! So jealous of many of you who were there. Thank you for posting this!
I was at Ozzfest 1999, which was almost as good as Woodstock 1999.
ITS THE HEART THAT MATTERS MORE
That performance of Round Here was one hell of a rendition, Top Notch...I'd love to time travel back to 99 to see this live in person
I've seen them live 3 times and they always do something like that w/ Round Here. I agree its a great version of it.
So good.
First time I ever saw them was 2014 in Atlantic City. They opened with Round here and he mixed in Palisades Park. It was literal magic
Adam always makes every performance of that song special
I'm not going to lie when counting Crows blew up in 94 I was only twelve and they were part of the soundtrack of that time of my life but I forgot just how many hits they had other than mr. Jones like they had a lot of amazing songs and as I grew older and my musical tastes changed its amazing-looking back and listening to some of these songs and remembering just how important and how much they meant to me growing up in the 90s. Honestly I thought counting Crows fell off the Earth but it shocked me to know that they're still putting out albums and touring to this day.
Same here dude, same age….my parents wore out August and Everything After…we were on a long road trip and that’s all that was in the cassette deck…that and Dulcinea from Toad the Wet Sprocket, another incredible band
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 Hell yeah, Mr. Smith. I have some special memories with this band as well. So many metalheads loved this band back in the 1990s some just won't admit to it!
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 Counting Crows were just one of those bands that transcended music genres back in the day. These days there really aren't bands like these guys!
love these guys!
to
i meant to say me to
Love this so much!
Amazing performance, brings back memories...
saw them again last night, sounding better than ever
Man life moves so fast. And they're still out there doing their thing and doing it well. ❤️
Theyre in the top 5 of my best concert ever list. They blew me away!
Great band, thanks for posting.I couldn't make the show.
great concert!!!
Still cant believe i have to chance to experience Woodstock 99
I was at the 94 one which was WAY better imo…I came home and was sick in bed for 10 days…crazy fever etc….was worth it! Maybe it was the 4 different women I was with, lol…
I was there. It was awesome.
so great
Mr. Jones is one of my favorite songs I herd a cover band in my town play it, and ask who sang it and here I am
Just seen a picture of him & I didn't recognize him without his dreads
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ok but the way the bass comes in way too hot and completely misses the note @2:00 is hilarious
LOLOL
LMAO
In the top 5 of that show
Good band for the original Woodstock spirit, despite the hellscape the festival degenerated into.
The audience seems a little grumpy, I feel like Adam notices and I was thinking that’s exactly why. Sounded like uncomfortable conditions out there.
this is a beautiful planet, we make great music
I love seeing Duritz getting into it towards the end of “Murder Of One” ✌️
Mixing guy should have lost his job after the 3rd song.
Mr Jones!!
best Anna Begins live ever
I cant remember at memphis in may they closed with a cover . I think it was a van Morrison song. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it..the show was all and more. Good smoke n music. 1 love
I know they’ve covered “Caravan” in the past-that’s the only Van Morrison song I know they’ve done for sure.
they ve covered sweet thing before
Niet te zien in de docu van netflix dit ging wel goed dus!
Mr Jones one of the greats
Y el Setlist porfavor ?
Lol, the water chants at @46:42
That crowd had no idea what they where listening to I would have been off my feet
I know, that would of been my greatest day!
Sad you left without me. Lox n bacon to you too.
So sick. I can’t wait for time travel to be invented!
What is the name of the song 22:43 that break and guitar rift thooo
Omaha
6 years in the future this guy still thankful that one dude in the comments told him the name of Omaha
@@drewkilmurray5085 bless him
That audio mixing...WOOF boy
I should have been there it was just exspexive..
man the bassist................. at the beginning R.I.P wow atrocious the worst thing that can happen to anyone he flopped so badly.
Shit happens dude, we are human
Whoever set up this stage for the counting crows, must of been there guys cause the guitar and bass are way off for miss jones. Is it just me or does that shit sound bad lol
*Mr. Jones
@@calisongbird thanks lol
What day did they play?
saturday east stage
I chose to watch Everclear on the other stage
54:05 Preparing for COVID
Came here for this exact comment. Respect to you sir haha
CC are one of my favorite bands, but they were way too soft for the crow-surfing party people.
The sound tech sucks. The bass was way over kill. Distortion and feedback everywhere.
This mix is atrocious
Bad mix.
Surprisingly terrible!
Adam Duritz juat loves to butcher the melodies to his songs
some sexual assault at @14:05
Such a bad audio mix... shame
he soound lik doo doo
Prise de son pourrie ! Bass et guitare trop forte ! Horrible !
That ridiculous wig…Adams still the man though
31:03…you Sir’s are welcome
Great band but duritz is such a terrible frontman. He’s a literal charisma vacuum
cold take.
