The harmonizing you hear is from her overtone chanting/sing abilities. She has been taking voice lessons since she was five to help her over come some speech issues. She has been yodeling from an early age too. She is from far eastern Russia near the Sea of Japan. I think that is where she gets her far eastern shamanic influence. This young lady is otherworldly. Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto voice, a rare female voice type, in particular, the quality of her tone, timbre, the roundness of her sound, the resonance, and depth of her voice define her as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare type of contralto. Diana is also a real polyphonic singer which in itself is also a rare talent and is a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which makes it sound like two different voices at the same time. Diana does this through the resonance created by the airflow through the lungs, throat, and mouth and tongue placement which is why some people mistakingly think she is using a voice synthesizer to manipulate her voice, or there's another voice singing, or she is singing over a pre-recorded track, which she is not. Also, on average the vast majority of female singers don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are 22 to 25 years of age. In May of 2022, Diana Ankudinova will be 19. “Diana Ankudinova, A Russian National Treasure”, I have been following her for awhile. She is another very interesting story that you will discover. Wait until you hear “Take On Me” or "Human" or "Rechenka" Even though it is in Russian you still feel the emotion behind it. I've heard her sing in Russian, English, French and Spanish so far. No matter what language it is beautiful. Her Russian fans are the BEST!

Season 2 2018 (winner Diana Ankudinova)
Season 3 Super season: best of the best called back including Diana Ankudinova, she won again.
It's an incredible show in which talented children without parental care have a chance to express themselves and demonstrate their vocal abilities to the whole country.
Over the years the project "You are super!" the show helped young stars to reveal their vocal talents and take their first steps into
a professional musical career. Some participants fulfilled their dream and found their long-awaited parents.
In the first two seasons, the project involved children from Russia and the CIS and Baltic countries
- Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia and South Ossetia, as well as from Germany and Syria.

The harmonizing you hear is from her overtone chanting/sing abilities. She has been taking voice lessons since she was five to help her over come some speech issues. She has been yodeling from an early age too. She is from far eastern Russia near the Sea of Japan. I think that is where she gets her far eastern shamanic influence. This young lady is otherworldly. Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto voice, a rare female voice type, in particular, the quality of her tone, timbre, the roundness of her sound, the resonance, and depth of her voice define her as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare type of contralto. Diana is also a real polyphonic singer which in itself is also a rare talent and is a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which makes it sound like two different voices at the same time. Diana does this through the resonance created by the airflow through the lungs, throat, and mouth and tongue placement which is why some people mistakingly think she is using a voice synthesizer to manipulate her voice, or there's another voice singing, or she is singing over a pre-recorded track, which she is not.
Also, on average the vast majority of female singers don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are 22 to 25 years of age. In May of 2022, Diana Ankudinova will be 19. I am looking forward to what Diana will sound like when she does reach her vocal maturity. With several more years of voice training with her voice coach. When she does reach her full vocal maturity with the additional years of vocal practice plus adding several more years to hone her live performance skills there can be no doubt that Diana Ankudinova will be a wonder to behold and a force to be reckoned with.
