@user-hr3cz2ym4y Yes. Building a strategy for their first floor was the start of everything else. Terrific use of what were fixed features, and what could be changed and enlarged.
Hello Olivia Botrie! You're one of my absolute favourite designers.❤You did a fabulous job. There isn't a renovation of yours that I dislike. I love your own home as well. Keep going strong! Greetings from western Greece ❤
It’s nice, but I can’t imagine the economics. Some of the changes described would have been insanely expensive (any time you touch a staircase in the least, you are spending several tens of thousands). The changes here were so extensive that I wonder how the cost would compare to just levelling the place and rebuilding anew.
@@writingme I’m not so bothered that it’s out if my price range: some people have more money than me, and that's just fine. But, regardless of how muchmoney one has, one wonders whether it was money well spent. As I said, the cost of the renovations would've been so spectacular that one wonders whether the renovation was worth it at all. A new build might've cost the same.
Incredibly smart planning. I like everything except the painting with wrapped-over edges. Looks like Costco art. Needs a narrow dark wood frame. Easy fix.
Olivia - you are so good at what you do. Having seen dozens of Toronto Victorian remodels on H&H, this has to be one of the best in terms of flow, finishes, layout. Etc. Love the dining table and art work, back entry hall, and powder room. Bravo.
Designer excellence - as usual from Olivia! Of course the family are satisfied! Who wouldn’t with this beauty. Real designer solutions. I love the dark green in the kitchen and bathroom - and that beautiful bathroom wallpaper? Gorgeous!
I love this designer. Her work is great and she is so natural in how she speaks about it. She talks normally vs others who over-enunciate “A” and “Thee” find SO many do that now 🙄
I love the powder room wallpaper! It’s romantic AND dramatic, which is hard to achieve. But I am shocked, shocked I say, that homeowners are not required to get a Botrie Banquette. 😂 Sure, the dining room is gorgeous, but it could also have been cozy and comfy. Make better choices, people!
That is so beautiful. It is neutral but somehow feel color full. Just enough of both world. Not mini not maxi. This is a Perfect exemple of midimalist. Love it.
I'm glad they went with the clients' desire not to have a banquette because the chairs fit perfectly with the design of the kitchen. And that hood is gorgeous 👏👏👏 I also love the painting and the dining table.
So this has a lot right. It is a consistent plan in this home style - in terms of the galley kitchen and dining area. The back entry made sense. Major flaw. The television is just nutty in terms of location. Even if it pivots, everyone has to pile on the sofa. Those chairs don’t pivot, I’d say that is the weakest spot
I don't understand why you placed a table in front of the back door. It blocks the windows and takes up a lot of space. It doesn't make sense to have it there. It would be better to leave that area open without the table. Also, I don't understand the placement of the TV. It's positioned to the side, and there's no seating facing the TV. How are they supposed to watch TV? Does the TV swing out?
Love everything Olivia renovates! I simply cannot imagine trying to reconfigure that house’s first floor and it looks incredible now.

This is the value of an Interior Designer. Very well done.
I gasped at the design! You are my favourite designer Olivia. This magnificent home will still be beautiful in 50 years.
Beautiful transformation.
What a great job with the layout change
What a smart and beautiful reconfiguration. GREAT JOB!
Thank you!
So nice and open and airy now! Great job opening up this home!
Wow, I actually love that “butterscotch” color.
Welcome back Olivia. I love her work & missed her in this channel.
Yay! Happy to be there
Here's for a drinking game: Watch House and Home videos and drink every time a designer says "great bones".
Truly maestro at work
haha thank you
GORGEOUS RENO!! ❤
Thank you!
The hood is interesting in this home.
So gorgeous! The dark green is such a nice accent in both the kitchen and powder room! Such a nifty storage idea with the pantry pocket door!!
Everything you do is BEAUTIFUL, girl.
Right back at ya, girl
She had quite the challenge to work with
preach
Olivia succeeded in making a beautiful family home, I can easily envision people living comfortably there.
Thank you!
The renovation made the entire downstairs area look larger and beautiful.
Appreciate that!
I love how calming this home is with the use of the neutral tones but isn’t boring either! Its a very nice home. Well done
Olivia, wow!! So thoughtfully and beautifully done. That green is simply gorgeous 👏🏻
Olivia didn't get her banquette?!? How dare her client have an opinion! Lol kidding. Beautiful job as usual. That was a really awkward design before.
How dare they!
@@dartstudioinc lol
Very well done. She always does such beautiful work. Wish I could afford her.

That is so kind! Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching :)

My thoughts exactly. Clearly money was no object, but that is so unrelatable to 99.99% of people, so just feels like a pipe dream.

I hope it was a positive gasp lol

Good job! The changes you made are wonderful, Olivia!
Thanks for watching!

Lovely makeover! ❤
Thank God you didnt put a built in banquet for the dining space, i personally dont think it suits in a home
Yes! I really like this! ❤

haha I love how you call it the Botrie Banquette, maybe i should trademark that!?
Makes you wonder what the original designer was thinking with the layout...missed the signature banquet. Love the range hood!
I always love Olivia's work. Beautiful job!
I love Olivia’s style! She’s one of my favorites!
Very kind, thanks
Beautiful!! The difference from the before/after ❤ The amount of planning & detail that went into this design is truly remarkable. ❤
Thank you
Love Olivia! Such a talented designer with the cutest personality! Heart broken for her about the banquette! LOL
Haha I love a banquette!
That green!!!! Love Love LOVE!!!
That is so beautiful. It is neutral but somehow feel color full. Just enough of both world. Not mini not maxi. This is a Perfect exemple of midimalist. Love it.
midimalist, love it

Yes the hood is a showstopper!
The powder room is gorgeous!
I hve thesame reaction while watching in my tablet when I saw the powder room!!
Beautifully done. The accent chairs in the living room are gorgeous; any chance I could find out where they're from?
Beautiful! I love all the white and windows. Love the glass cabinets in kitchen and hallway.👍

What color did you use for the walls? Very beautiful design
This is a brand new house😄
Pretty much!
Wow stunning! Love the pieces the owners wanted to keep and love this designer and her energy!
Nice!
How can I invest in your real estate company ?
Jaw drop😮
Thank you!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this project...! Olivia, you and your team are amazing..! Such attention to detail. 👏👏👏 💕💕💕
Appreciate that!
Lots of skill to accomplish that! Well done!
Tv in a weird spot 😵💫
This is a beautiful reno, congratulations!
How much would such a reno cost approximately?
WOW IMPECCABLE, AMAZING !!!
Thank you!
Lovely, so serene. 🌸
This is brilliant. I think I may have done a banquette but I get it, they wanted a dining table and chairs. Still look stunning.
Nicest Toilet I’ve seen in awhile does anyone know what the name of the Wall Paper is called?
I agree and when I Google image search it, it comes up with Kelly Ventura wallpaper called ‘Peonia in Forest’.

A House & Home done in white and beige….wow…so surprised. Yawn.
People may like Neutral colors if you don’t like it that’s your choice but some people like it🤷🏽♀️
Still basic
Pretty sure they've shown this video 3 times already in a short amount of time.
It is outdated. Light fixtures are outdated, door handles are outdated.
You sound fun
Wallpaper in a powder room again. Come on guys.
