The station at St-Jean was built by the Central Vermont/Grand Trunk. Where it stands was once a junction with the abandoned CV line across the Richelieu River to Farnham and beyond.
You had some great catches here Harrison! I'd never seen that KCS unit before. I salute you for your knowledge in finding yourself around the Montreal area. It can be a tricky city to get around, especially with those crazy drivers!
@@dhdisprsmith2296 It’s taken a few trips to get a handle on it, and I still don’t enjoy driving anywhere near there. I’ll take the REM whenever possible.
Good show Harrison, as always! (It took me two days to watch this, I was a little distracted by an incident that took place in Pennsylvania yesterday which I'm sure you've heard about and concerned me greatly. )
NORTH COUNTRY TRAINS! My friend has connections with somebody that lives next to the old d&h train tracks that went to tahawus. That person saw a train pass through behind their house like 20 min ago. I don’t know much yet but it was pushing a train car filled with stone. I don’t know if they are ballasting the track or taking stone from tahawus but, why would they be ballasting for pedal carts.
Total admiration & respect for a conductor working outside in the Quebec wind

You certainly saw and filmed a lot of trains on this one!

I’m going to consider you as my translator when I go to the Montreal Jazz Festival in June

A snowless winter in Canada 🇨🇦 too
Nice catches! Man Farnham is depressing now. When I was there in 2018 it was busy, two locals, and a yard switcher and the yard was full.
@@Maine_Railfan These days you have two locals/switchers, and that’s only on certain days.
You DID get that green signal to fall- the second time

Can you go next to Trois-Rivieres? a shortline railroad QGRY (G&W) run there, if you do go there, tell me when;)

@@Trainguy90406 SC&H/Raven Rail is doing MOW for rev rail
I learned about that just yesterday. First time since 2021 they’ve had a train up that far tho.
I asked them and they said there moving another load up north at around lunchtime on Monday.
Question:
Do Canadian manifest trains yet include swill and demo?
@@MillersRailfan Yep! You’ll commonly see such cars on 321 (only light power seen here) and 305.
@@NorthCountryTrains thank you
