Well, if it is any consolation, that grey looks green to me too.. :) Great paint job, and I agree about the decals.. don't know why they no longer make decals that way.. simple and uncomplicated!! :)
Yes, they were so nice, they comformed to well without any solvents, I really wish they'd find a way to bring them back, still the new Cartograph decals are quite nice :D
Looks great! Do you thin the mineral spirits and if so with what and in what ratio? I'm worried about it attacking my paints. I use Tamiya and Vallejo Model Air. Cheers
-For the cockpit: to replicate the interior color, try black primer, then Gunship gray. There is a fuel line running parallel to the rt canopy rail, painted yellow. (Fuel line in cockpit. Yikes!) To replicate the trim wheel, look into brake wheels from Model Railroad cars. For the exterior color: Look into a color called, “Israeli Armor Sand”. Not sure if Tamiya has it, Testors has it in their Model Master line, maybe their Acryl line.
So I'm building the airfix spitfire mk vb while watching your video, and I accidentally tipped the paint container. Some got on the model... Most of it on my pants :/ cool video though :D
Good update on your 109. Decals turned out great. Keep having fun.
Bill.
+PanzermansBunker Thanks Bill, I love these early mid 90's decals, they were so good you basically didn't need any solvent on them :D

+Robincoffin Micro Scale Krystal Klear. It takes a bit to harden, but it's really nice stuff:)
