Giants still up by 3 games and 4 in the loss column. 54 games left for S.F. and 53 for L.A. Both are definitely going to make The Post Season but one of them will have to go in as a Wild Card. Wild Card with the extra game is at a decided disadvantage. Teams are pretty evenly matched in starting rotations- Buehler/Urias/ Kershaw/ Scherzer and Price are 42- 17 with a 3.09 earned run average. Giants starting unit- Gausman/ Scafalani/ Cueto/Wood and Logan are 40-23 with a 3.26 earned run average. San Francisco has the superior bull pen. Except for batting average they match up very well offensively. Bryant could be the difference. I am a die hard S.F. fan but have tons of respect for what L.A. can do.
All the Dodgers need to do now is get rid of Dave Roberts and Kenley Jansen and they'll have a few more World Series titles. Dodgers won last years World Series in spite of Dave Roberts lousy coaching

Max is the only reason I am inclined to watch tonight’s game because I CANNOT TAKE WHAT AN UTTER DISAPPOINTING SH*T SHOW THE OFFENSE IS. The talent is there but their ability to be consistent, make good contact and do the little things to score runs is so inconsistent and frustrating to watch.
Big question in the coming days: is he a two-month rental or is he going to re-up? I would guess the following: the team will not re-sign seager because Boras will price him out; the team will find a way to void Bauer's contract based on a morality clause of some sort; and the team will use those resources to re-sign kershaw and scherzer and urias. I don't think they will be able to prevent trey turner from exploring free agency in 2023.
