    Welcome back missing your videos! The best cabin built I have ever seen….solid through out the the build. You are such a perfectionist….why not! Well done!

      Thank Dennis, yes I’m wired to be detail oriented as an engineer, sometimes to my own demise

      Thanks! I know I almost went with just getting a pre made shower pan but then decided I really wanted a custom tiled shower pan and knew it would look so much better too

    When you install tongue and groove you need to use a piece of scrap as a block that you can use to hammer against rather than risk damaging the tongue on the board you are installing.

    I just added a master bedroom/bath to our cabin. I am going to have sheetrock on the walls and tongue&groove on the ceiling. Some of the research I've found says you absolutely need to sheetrock the ceiling, maybe as just a vapor barrier, before tongue&groove. I'd love to save some money by skipping sheetrock on the ceiling (considering I'm paying to get that installed). Can you comment on this? Maybe your vapor barrier provides the same function? I'm in an area that gets very cold. Northern WI (USA), so I was thinking how much better sheetrock would also keep air inside that leaks through the tongue&groove.

      The intello plus made everything airtight so no need for sheet rock really.

    Wow looks awesome,,are you keeping it natural or going to stain ?

    • @TheDIYCabinGuy
      @TheDIYCabinGuy  7 месяцев назад +1

      Probably natural because I’m too lazy 😂 I’ll probably put a water based clear coat of something

    Next time do your ceilings first,as to not risk damage the wall boards
