Have you been looking where to buy Rip's jacket from Yellowstone? There's a lot of imposters out there. The genuine article is the Short Lined Cruiser from the Filson Co. out of Seattle.
Hipsters like dressing like their work but they only do it for fashion, like the whole wearing coveralls and one side of the shoulder strap unbuttoned as if they worked
$350 on the Filsom Website. I have a tin cloth jacket that my grandfather bought in the fifties. Still looks cool af after 70 years of hard use and sheds water like a bullfrogs backside.
I was at a dinner party a few years back. There was one guy that sported an authentic Flying Tigers jacket, complete with the blood chit. In my opinion he was the best dressed guy there. That was even after considering all those who were wearing thousand dollar suits.
You wont but its worth it i pay alot of money for my works clothes and worth every penny of it. Ypu can go to hell and back in it and still come out like you just got it
WAS WEARING A LEVI JACKET WHEN 16 YRS OLD COULDN'T FIND A BLACK ONE SO GOT SOME BLACK DYE AND HAD A BLACK ONE. WORE IT EVERY DAY! WHEN WORE OUT DID AGAIN ! INNOVATE !
Filson has made the best gear since the original north pole expeditions. Go ahead, embrace the conservative Republican cancel culture Miss out on true American quality, Republicans are always one fact short of being real patriots anyway
Well, the one thing I can say about Carhartt is that they have a lifetime guarantee on their coats. My zipper broke on mine and I sent it to them and they replaced it with an entirely new zipper. I have had my Carhartt coat now for 25 years.
My pops has had Filson hats and jackets his entire life. His favorite field jacket is over 60 years old. Hats are just as old and still look great. They last!
@Trythis837 did you do that? What did you find? I'm curious do you have an old sears catalog? Yeah no a garment should never be worth half a cow. Because that's what that is right there that is half of a year old cow up to half of a fully grown steer. It would be the most luxurious garment in all of the land at that price.
@@Attemptedvelocity i have a 1908 sears catalogue. 12 cans of Campbell’s soup was 67 cents. A Winchester 92 was $13.65. Some jackets were $5 or $6. Gold at that time was $20 an ounce.
@@Attemptedvelocity cattle are extremely undervalued today. All food prices are way below what they should be. When gold was $20 an ounce a dairy cow was worth $35.
I found the same jacket, I was on the verge of buying it. But RIP is the only one who deserves to wear that jacket, RIP makes that jacket look super cool.
What makes rip interesting and intimidating is the fact that he isn't aggressive or combative, he is actually very calm and mellow but with all the death he has seen it has made him different. People can tell when youve seen people die, seen corpses, you have a different air.
Those suckers are the most uncomfortable things in the world to wear unless you were on the back of a horse utilizing them for what they are made for and if you have one of those jackets then you have a writing slicker also made out of the same material I believe they started using this material down in Australia
And for $1,450 you too can own one of these Roughout Leather Short Cruiser jackets by Filson or....buy the ole standard rancher jacket, Carhartt for under 200
Same. I had a friend who bought one of the new ones and was looking it over. Couldn’t really tell a difference per se but a big part of Filson for me was the made in America aspect, and they really pushed it while I worked there about ten years ago.
No company is trying to pay their workers $50 an hour to sew. All jobs going overseas for cheaper labour. And they ain't coming back. $2 to make. Resold for $350 Hell yeah baby!!
Filson is an excellent company. One of the best outerwear companies out there. Have an old Buffalo plaid of theirs that is still as warm today as it was when I bought it twenty years ago.
If I wear an XL in a Levi’s denim jacket, what size should I aim for in a short lined cruiser? 5’11 225lbs 36” waist. I’m getting mixed info. Everyone says go down a size, but some people say in the cruiser to go up a size. I’m tempted to just try an XL. Not really looking to do more than 2 layers.
Go up a size. My ex husband has this coat. He’s 6’2 225. He got XXL. It’s just a little loose but afforded him extra room to layer and move naturally with comfort. Always go up a size.
I just buy carhartt as i still wear ths hoodie and vest i purchased in 1998. They are a little tight as i have put on over 50 pounds since then, but i wear them every winter.
Filsons prices have become absolutely outrageous for workwear. Once the hipsters got ahold of it, they changed
Once the hipsters started voting prices for everything became absolutely outrageous…
same with Stetson
Hipsters like dressing like their work but they only do it for fashion, like the whole wearing coveralls and one side of the shoulder strap unbuttoned as if they worked
That's a shame
Same with carhartt, riggs ana. Few others. They all gat sizes now also
The coolness doesn't transfer with the jacket
But … definitely a step in the right direction 😎😎😎
True dat.
Do your narrative somewhere else.

Beth is clearly the coolest man in Yellowstone.
Want to know what’s cool…the next season of Yellowstone. At this point Rip will be 107 years old by the time it comes back
😂 True
The writer is being held hostage
yes wtf!!! is up with that?
I got an Italian Leather Bomber from 1943 with the Air Force tags still on it. And a Pin Up girl on the inside pocket. My favorite jacket ever
I was at a dinner party a few years back. There was one guy that sported an authentic Flying Tigers jacket, complete with the blood chit. In my opinion he was the best dressed guy there. That was even after considering all those who were wearing thousand dollar suits.
$400 for a jacket? Hahaha! Hell no. I'll take my $50 Wrangler jacket and be just fine...
Rip is cool because of who he is not what he wears. Like loyalty, honesty and strength.
What he is… a fictional character.
Ooooooo so cool.
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day too reply too my comment.
He's a mafioso "fixer" in cowboy boots LOL
He is like a disciplined dog, nothing more.
So the ones that were made in the USA from 2016 and back are the best! I won’t pay $350 for a coat made in Bangladesh!
That's what I was waiting to see...what it costs, and where it was made. 😊
You wont but its worth it i pay alot of money for my works clothes and worth every penny of it. Ypu can go to hell and back in it and still come out like you just got it
@@PLAX84please I can buy 2 jackets for that price and they will be just as durable
Just like Danner boots as well. Still have a pair around from years ago. The new Pronghorn is decent, but nowhere near the same quality.

Don’t want anything out of Seattle.
What are you …12? Boohoo. Let me guess - it’s too liberal for you.
I think Pendleton woolen Mills make some of their material
$350? That's like 1 dollar per trip to the train station.
A trip to the train station is priceless

I don't care what Rip is wearing.
He is just 🆒 with or without that jacket.
Filson is great but the price...ouch
Tater is the coolest man on Yellowstone
Holla
Did you say Peter?
Isn’t her name Teeter?
It's Little Joe Jr.
@novascotiaskater1868
Tatter! But in Texan it sounds like tetter
Seattle though... I'd rather bleed from both eyes than give money to anyone in that lawless dump.
Filson has made the best gear since the original north pole expeditions.

Most Carhartt crap is made in China, but their prices didn't go down. I won't be Carhartt.
Well, the one thing I can say about Carhartt is that they have a lifetime guarantee on their coats. My zipper broke on mine and I sent it to them and they replaced it with an entirely new zipper. I have had my Carhartt coat now for 25 years.
I've had 1 of my Burberry jackets for 8 years now. I paid $1800 and it looks brand new. A few other jackets I have just as long and look just as good.
My pops has had Filson hats and jackets his entire life. His favorite field jacket is over 60 years old. Hats are just as old and still look great. They last!
350 up to 650⁰⁰ my grandfather would never spend that kind of money on a garment.
Go through an old sears catalog from the 20’s and adjust for inflation. $650 is cheap compared to what the paid.

Bugs the hell out of me that a guy wears a damn coat year round. Coldest man in Montana.
its probably paper thin for the show
I purchased one after joining the Salvation Army and it’s taken a beating and performs perfectly!
The fact that it comes from Seattle, number 2 American Shiitehole next to Portland, makes it completely NWAF to me. No thanks said the Texan.
Made for ranchers and for upland game hunting. Top notch clothing.
Legendary whitetail was making it way before yellowstone
So if I buy one of these jackets. I’ll be the coolest character in the world. 😂
You may own the jacheta, but RIP looks cool wearing it.
I was today years old when I found out RIP is the same guy who played in the movie , The Family that Preys. 😮
We can't afford that jacket in South Africa. Thats more than some families salary.
Bet price has shot up since rip started wearing it🤔

Lol that is so funny. Filsons is like hipster gold in seattle
Just because you found a similar jacket at the goodwill doesn’t mean your Rip.
What a weird comment 😐
fuck rip he's Hollywood fiction
The Filson has been around a hundred years. Best longest lasting coat ever made. I have wanted one for decades, just too much money.

lol and just like that everyone became RIP minus the balls. 😂
Filson tin cloth was made for loggers and fishermen
My best jacket is Carhartt Detroit. Might have to check his out .
They also make great hunting clothing.
He IS the coolest character in that show.
He wouldn't be without the jacket 🎉
No no no everyone knows it’s Kevin ✝️🏴
That's not saying much. Tried to watch this. Made it about 10 minutes.

Rip Neat Style and More.

Interesting information, I thought it was a Driza Bone from Australia. In 2002 I purchased a very similar jacket for my son on a trip to Australia.
