My pops has had Filson hats and jackets his entire life. His favorite field jacket is over 60 years old. Hats are just as old and still look great. They last!
Well, the one thing I can say about Carhartt is that they have a lifetime guarantee on their coats. My zipper broke on mine and I sent it to them and they replaced it with an entirely new zipper. I have had my Carhartt coat now for 25 years.

Filson is an excellent company. One of the best outerwear companies out there. Have an old Buffalo plaid of theirs that is still as warm today as it was when I bought it twenty years ago.

Go up a size. My ex husband has this coat. He’s 6’2 225. He got XXL. It’s just a little loose but afforded him extra room to layer and move naturally with comfort. Always go up a size.
