------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So I finally bit the bullet and bought some 'expensive' cycling clothes. Is Le Col worth the money? Let's find out.
You can save money when buying from Le Col by signing up to their strava challenges, they often give £50 off vouchers.

Are the premium brands worth the extra cost? Any recommendations for good value kit? Let us know in the comments!

I've gotten to like some of the products from siroko, ale, pactimo, and ekoi. These brands are relatively inexpensive.

I agree 100 per cent, I also had some hors categorie shorts which had a little bit of fraying on the chamois outer part where your leg is in contact with the saddle I sent a photo and they replaced it no issues. I have 5 le col items and not paid full price for any of them, the kit is good but expensive 😳 I got the 8848 Jersey the same way you did its a good price then. Its even better if you can do the challenge in 1 effort. Looking forward to your Rapha review, more expensive kit.

    Nice Job!!
I got Le Col kit a year or two ago adn really enjoyed it! the jersey was nice and lightweight material that was pretty breathable, but I got a size too big, so it wasn't particularly aero.
I LOVED the bibs!! however, a couple seasons later, and the elastic is begging to "give up" for lack of better term.
Personally, I DO NOT pay full price for anything in the cycling industry bc its flippin' outrageous!! I got a $50 voucher for a strata challenge as well.

I guess the elastic would give up on all bibs no matter how expensive they are? Which other ones do you recommend?
I 100% agree about the price, definitely going to be sticking to the cheaper ones I think!

@@JMower I found some budget bibs on Amazon that (so far) have held up quite nicely!

First of all, well done on completing the 8848m challenge over a month, not an easy task!
I swear by my LeCol bibs for any ride over 2h duration, that's where I think they really shine! I have 2 sets of the Sports bibs (most used), 1 set of the Pros (use mostly on 4h+ rides outdoors / granfondos / 2h+ indoors). And I also have 1 set of the Aero Bib shorts (all punctured, designed for climbing), which I used mostly for climbing rides and during the summer (it is very light and comfortable). As you said, Customer Service is above and beyond. Also, if you are looking to buy more from them, enter their points program (this is not the club, just the points, which is free). You can get up to 25% discount, and usually it adds up with other sales, makes buying from them worthwhile every once/twice a year if you go through a lot of tear and wear on your gear.
Oh, and their indoor cycling jerseys are to die for. I have the WahooxLeCol Indoor jersey, and honestly it is the best kit for indoor rides (IMHO), amazingly cool, fresh, light, and allows for great breathability. I use it mainly on indoor races.

I'll be sure to check out their points thing! Personally I'm not a big fan of the indoor jerseys in general, I just end up taking them off after like 5 mins 😂
