Can give these endings shit if you want to, but just look at the dedication they had with this game. So many different types of visual designs being represented here. May it be Kunimitsu's, Ogre's or Bob, mixed with high-end GCI cutscenes. The diversity is crazy

I enjoyed the endings in TT2 a lot. And I’m lucky I’m not subbed to TMM cause he’s shitting on some of endings that were fine in my opinion. He’s a hater for both Nina and Xiaoyu. Annoying to see him get all impatient and not enjoying the endings even if they were bad.

@@dominiqprime5057 that's not true. When Tekken 7 was first released it was almost indistinguishable from Tekken 6 and TTT2 in terms of engine and mechanics. The budget was blown in re-creating the game from the ground up in Unreal. Then when money started to roll in from the arcades, most of it went towards story mode which was ambitious but pretty bad. The rest probably went towards Akuma licensing and creation in the game. If you look closely at the core gameplay itself, there's been very little change from TTT2.

The year is 2020 and people still believe the short skits in Tekken 7 count as endings. If you don't get it for beating Arcade mode with a character than it's not an ending those were the rules from the beginning. Tekken 7 has no endings after arcade mode so you might as well say "it's better than nothing"

How was piracy a factor? You couldn't play online PSN with a pirated copy. There was no PC release. The reason the game flopped was because it was basically a more complex T6, and T6 was very unpopular in its last days. I think the complexity thing was a red herring...if you could play T6 then you could play TTT2. The only real additional learning curve was for combos.

Baek's ending never fails to make me sad. Probably my favourite Tekken ending. Hwoarang may be a jerk most of the time, but I love how that ending highlighted his heart. I think this game has some of the most varied, detailed and imaginative endings in the franchise. I just cannot understand your dislike of them tbh. Makes you wonder if the Tekken 7 developers watched videos similar to this one and used it as a justification for putting in zero effort.
I really wasn't expecting the endings to be all that great when the game came out because it's Tag, but some of them were actually pretty good for being part of a spinoff. The variety in style for these were decent. Besides, the game isn't canon so I don't see why the team needs to go all out with super in depth serious story content. Certainly better than T6 endings (I dare say) and what we have currently in T7.
And the saddest part is that by the very slim chance we do get a Tag 3, it'll most definitely deliver half of the package and focus solely on endless competitive balancing and ongoing character dlc rather than casual fun and homage towards the series. I can't stand how strict these up the butt "esport" players treat Tag 2. There's even a bts video showing how much spirit and effort was put into it. The culmination of so many Tekkens, they show their appreciation and even make the whole roster free and got way less than what they were expecting back.
Namco learned a lot about catering to their fans with TTT2. They put literally everything into that game and it was a flop. Then they put half the effort into T7 and it is a success. Addition by subtraction seems to be a great business model...look at DLC after all.

@Tcb bct they did got official stories in t7 tho. not in video forms but bamco did released 2,3 paragraphs for all legacy dlc characters telling us reasons about why those legacy characters are back in t7.
This was my first time watching these endings and I thought they were pretty alright as a whole. A majority of them do have some story and personality to them (although not a lot in a majority of cases, particularly in the latter category) and quite a few of them also experiment with different animation styles, which was always a pleasure to see. Some of the endings are pretty good but I'd say a majority of them were varying degrees of alright overall. There are a handful of stinkers in here but I think I might call more endings good than bad and most endings were at least average or better for me. I personally think they are better than T6's endings as a whole (and of course, they are leagues and leagues above T7's endings).
Was wondering when you would get to reviewing Tag 2 endings. They def spent some resources to give every character a unique ending considering it was close to 60 in the game.
No...the graphics in TTT2 were actually the weakest part. The models are horrible and the level of detail is laughable. Tekken 7 looks far better if you compare them side by side.

You know I've been playing tag 2 online lately on ps3 and I've been having more fun then 7. No BS power crush no rage art or drives. It still felt like classic Tekken. Movement is amazing. Used angel and Kunimitsu...just loads of fun...oh don't forget about custom tracks.

If he actually read lore, he will find that Nina kills for the good of the world. Her last canon kill was Anna's MOBSTER fiancé. Those men she killed were probably protecting someone bad in the end. Secondly, if he plays any other game (RPG) that has him kill NPCs who apparently have families then that would make him a hypocrite. He also likes Heihachi as a character, right? But did he forget he killed Michelle's parents for her father's amulet? Why doesn't his kill towards NPCs not count against his likeness of Heihachi but he has a double standard with Nina? I also think the reason why Eddy's master died was because of Kazuya. Since the grandpa had a family in Christie why doesn't he hate Kazuya as well? I'm not a Christie stan but his action towards some characters in general are really pissing me off. Kazuya went on war against Jin in T6 and I'm assuming a lot of people died as well.

This is by far the most effort they've ever put into the endings. Most of them are connected andhave their own art style that suits the theme.

TMM gave Tekken 7 higher score for content. Even after 3 full seasons, compared to 1 season of TTT2, it still doesn't come close.

Issue with this endings is they use the in game models for cutscenes which makes them look out of place

Baek's ending never fails to make me sad. Probably my favourite Tekken ending. Hwoarang may be a jerk most of the time, but I love how that ending highlighted his heart. I also love the Mokujin ending, it's my favourite out of his. The fact that he actually tours Namco headquarters and Dig-Dug music plays... holy hell that's funny.

Kazuya has never had Any character growth besides controlling devil in tekken 4. Tekken 7 was supposed to gave him some humanity by using kazumi. But yeah he has never been a deep character.

I think this game has some of the most varied, detailed and imaginative endings in the franchise. I just cannot understand your dislike of them tbh. Makes you wonder if the Tekken 7 developers watched videos similar to this one and used it as a justification for putting in zero effort.

I really wasn't expecting the endings to be all that great when the game came out because it's Tag, but some of them were actually pretty good for being part of a spinoff. The variety in style for these were decent. Besides, the game isn't canon so I don't see why the team needs to go all out with super in depth serious story content. Certainly better than T6 endings (I dare say) and what we have currently in T7.

It's a pity that Tag 2 underperformed like it did, because it seems like there was a lot more love and effort put into it than Tekken 7.
Thats is exactly why T7 had little put into it. Ttt2 underperforming ment T7 had a smaller budget.
And the saddest part is that by the very slim chance we do get a Tag 3, it'll most definitely deliver half of the package and focus solely on endless competitive balancing and ongoing character dlc rather than casual fun and homage towards the series. I can't stand how strict these up the butt "esport" players treat Tag 2. There's even a bts video showing how much spirit and effort was put into it. The culmination of so many Tekkens, they show their appreciation and even make the whole roster free and got way less than what they were expecting back.
Namco learned a lot about catering to their fans with TTT2. They put literally everything into that game and it was a flop. Then they put half the effort into T7 and it is a success. Addition by subtraction seems to be a great business model...look at DLC after all.

tekken tag 2 has some sick ass endings and even angels was pretty cool all these endings are non canon so who cares they're entertaining
This was my first time watching these endings and I thought they were pretty alright as a whole. A majority of them do have some story and personality to them (although not a lot in a majority of cases, particularly in the latter category) and quite a few of them also experiment with different animation styles, which was always a pleasure to see. Some of the endings are pretty good but I'd say a majority of them were varying degrees of alright overall. There are a handful of stinkers in here but I think I might call more endings good than bad and most endings were at least average or better for me. I personally think they are better than T6's endings as a whole (and of course, they are leagues and leagues above T7's endings).
Was wondering when you would get to reviewing Tag 2 endings. They def spent some resources to give every character a unique ending considering it was close to 60 in the game.
I actually think Devil Kazuya here looks better. The tekken 7 one is so over the top with the eyes on the chest and wings.
With T:BV devil form, you have to remind yourself that this person is Kazuya.

No...the graphics in TTT2 were actually the weakest part. The models are horrible and the level of detail is laughable. Tekken 7 looks far better if you compare them side by side.

I'm talking about the Character Episodes and yes, some times the graphics look rather janky, but most of the time they actually look insanely good. For example Lars, Asukas or Leis ending. And the level of detail is much higher than in Tekken 7.

You know I've been playing tag 2 online lately on ps3 and I've been having more fun then 7. No BS power crush no rage art or drives. It still felt like classic Tekken. Movement is amazing. Used angel and Kunimitsu...just loads of fun...oh don't forget about custom tracks.

Also, in regards to the Nina comment again. If he actually read lore, he will find that Nina kills for the good of the world. Her last canon kill was Anna's MOBSTER fiancé. Those men she killed were probably protecting someone bad in the end. Secondly, if he plays any other game (RPG) that has him kill NPCs who apparently have families then that would make him a hypocrite.
He also likes Heihachi as a character, right? But did he forget he killed Michelle's parents for her father's amulet? Why doesn't his kill towards NPCs not count against his likeness of Heihachi but he has a double standard with Nina?
I also think the reason why Eddy's master died was because of Kazuya. Since the grandpa had a family in Christie why doesn't he hate Kazuya as well? I'm not a Christie stan but his action towards some characters in general are really pissing me off. Kazuya went on war against Jin in T6 and I'm assuming a lot of people died as well.
It's why I couldn't watch the whole thing because of the bias and ignorance. He can dislike the endings, but sometimes his criticism makes no sense.
