Right, the Avengers refused to sacrifice Vision, Thor, and Gamora and it cost them everything. Thanos had the will to sacrifice anything to save the world and he won
Thanos could have easily killed the Avengers and half the population of the Universe, but he chose not too. He didn't want to kill unless it was absolutely necessary to reach his ultimate goal. He saw what the universe would become if left uncheck and all he wanted was to maintain balance in the universe, without having to cause suffering & death. Erasing half of the population existence, in the universe is better than mass genocide on a universal scale. I doubt that finite resources and overpopulation was the main reason the fueled Thanos's goal. Thanos has acquired mass knowledge of the Universe over the years and while knowledge is power, it is also a burden. Perhaps, he saw other bigger threats that would befall on the Universe, and by erasing half the population he saved the Universe from other super power entities or even perhaps erase that super power entity existence itself. I know the comics portrait Thanos as mad and wanted to kill half the Universe to please the goddess of death. But as there are infinite parallel Universe, there are also infinite theories. I suppose that, how we interpret Thanos's action is based on one's perspective.
I thought his home planet and people died off because they ran out of resources so they all ended up dying because no one had anything left. But what he didn't know is how the survivors would deal with the unexplainable loss of every one.
all im saying he has some facts. like his own planet. and gamoras planet after the massacre. and thats fucked up because no one can convince thanos to other ways after these results

The irony of being hero lies behind the existence of evil, all good... then how would you know the value of good? Value of Sacrifices we make? But still hurting some one is not a real solution, thanos wanted to cease others(good) but iron man saved humanity and made evil creatures(including thanos) cease to exist!! Saviour becomes the destroyer, Of evil...and saviour of good. This made irony of iron man more ironic. Remember people only morun for good great souls by saying RIP, beacuse peace is a trait of goodness not evil. RIP Iron man!!! ✌️😎
People forget that it was fair. He didn’t descriminate, he wasn’t doing for himself, he actually lost everything to achieve it, for others. Avengers are just keeping the world in its shitty way, but Thanos wanted to better it. Sudenlly there is enough food for the entire planet, which can’t be said about the way things are now. It was 50/50 for everyone. Similar to Two face, but Two face was selfish he did it for his own agenda, Thanos sacrified his own daughter to bring food and future to so many people in Africa, and in the universe. He gave the universe restart.
Darth Vader and Thanos share two things: they are the Greatest villanes of all time. And although they lost they might have been right after all. My Respect for the Masters.
I would love to see a solo movie on Thanos as some sort of prequel to where he became the “mad titan” or somehow bringing him back but in another parallel universe where he’s the “anti-hero” or him battling some greater evils out I the cosmos. I remember there being a comic issue of him traveling to the outer part of the universe where even death doesn’t exist. That would be bad ass!!
Thanos only wants to save all existence from other beings who intends to destroy, control or abuse it all. He does love someone and only a choice he alone had made for fulfilling a meaningful purpose, a purpose that which we intend to understand rather than accusing him of what he is and what he had done. We need more beings and people like Thanos; honesty, wisdom, knowledge, compassion. Only they can save the universe, rather than ignorance, lies, ruthlessness, hate, fear.
Spoiler, do not open if you haven't seen end game yet. Basically the gamora that has died during Infinity War won't come back as Well, like black widow. That means Starlord and the Guardians lost one of their own. They only have the gamora which travelled through time. Man these two movies brought a lot of good people down.
They made him fair and wise, this is was the key. In IW whenever he was fighting, he nvers goes on killing. - until it's inevitable - ; punch out everyone, but leave them. Makes it clear, he is overpower everybody on 1-1 (probably more), but he just want the stones and snap, funny but kinda not here for a fight. He was having the chance to kill every one of them. Also he likes and recognizes a true fightert, as he did it with Tony. Just bc Stark give him a tough fight (on Human scale) he's like, alright this "humankind" is looks tough and clever, half of them are gonna survive. He does that so there is no reason to lie to about it.
I agree with everything Thanos strived for. Even irl today it is evident that humanity is a cancer to this earth and for ecosystems to survive we must perish. For a brief 5 years Thanos won. A shame it didnt last. :/
Actually, Thanos was wrong. Think this through for just a second. What he obviously didn't do, because he was the MAD titan, not the titan with a point. If your problem is exponential growth with limited ressources, a one time halfing of the population would do you no good on the long run. Actually, that's just one generation for most species to compensate for that. Humans could easily be were they were just 20-30 years from the end of Infinity War. Although it might take them a couple of years more due to the initial problems caused by the catastrophe. So when Thanos decided to just lay back and destroy the infinity stones after his work is done, he just pushed the problem 20-30 years into the future. He didn't solve any problem. And destroyed the possible solution. We don't need a world were half the population is slaughtered. We need a world were parents get two childrens tops. That would be sustainable. But if he would have wished for that he would be a very bad villain, because no one would want to avenge the REASONABLE titan.
Yeah but that's just one perspective of things. If erasing half of population throughout the universe would solve the problems that means Thanos would prove even tho hated by whole Universe, that he was right and thus Civilizations around the Universe would start to think about preventing same kind of problems for future which means hate him or not he would be victorious in Ideological perspective. And since Infinity Stones cannot really be destroyed, (unless you use one against other) If whole Universe would ignore the obvious reason of problems, then in 20-30 years as you said, someone would try to become Thanos 2.0 and another war would follow.
