I’m born and raised in East Los Angeles,Ca and watching this video literally brought a tear to my eye watching the disrespect of our nation!
you never had that small town family vibe living in LA. not your choice. no disrespect to our nation in that song. it's the truth. united we stand divided we fall. and we are a country divided now. look at all the rioting. not in the small towns. we as Americans have lost our way. the small towns still have it. and I'm not talking racism. I'm talking about bringing up children to respect others and be an influence on society. and not a burden. put all the politics aside and rethink this question. would you be proud of your kids rioting? at their age they have no clue. only what they have been taught or brain washed to believe. peace i do respect your answer as we as Americans have that freedom of speech. let's hope it lasts.🤞
That's what most of what this great nation has become now. I live in a military town and have a soldier that got stationed here in Texas, he got spit on in NY for being military.
I live in Kenosha Wi i was here very near the riots and deaths, the fires the hatred, but i so detest when people take a song and make it what it is not, this is a great song
I live outside of a small town (pop. 8,000) with a large minority population. There was a protest that summer, but it was completely peaceful, they had the permit, it lasted about an hour. No one even thought of a violent protest, we are friends, neighbors and small business owners.
What exactly were they protesting?
I'm thinking he's..Jason.. is referring to the rioting that took place during the 'Summer of Love '...
All are granted the right to protest but none are granted the right to attack cities and their citizens because they don't agree...
Infact right now most of us are protesting the current administration but no cities have been destroyed by our numbers..and the event at the Capital during the vote count is being revealed to have been planned by dark alphabet agencies and seated members in collusion with various City officials to allow happen...
Peace be with you and protesting is a good thing...

This is not all American news footage. His song is about criminal activity in big cities everywhere. Protests lose their function when they spiral into looting and carnage. But criminals are in every color and to think that only people of color are being addressed says a lot more to that person than him. People of color in small towns arm up and protect their neighborhoods right along with everyone else.
I live in a ‘small town’ in SoCal which is 80%+ Hispanic, im white. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that my community would stick up for each other no matter what if push came to shove. Most people are community driven when it matters most. It seems for a time around here that very few were patriotic. That’s turning around again.
A Huge Congrats on your American Citizenship!! I am so proud and thankful you chose our Great Country to call yours!! THAT is what America is about!
The Very Best to you, Sir!!
@SebsDuran people are calling this song & video racist against black people & they tried to cancel Jason Aldean cus of it....the part where you went "oh snap" was an incident that actually happened on my side of town in a neighborhood full of older vulnerable people....Marine veteran defended a convienance store against 3 armed young dudes with a gallon of milk & we praised him in a parade
❤❤❤
hats off to you sir...❤
❤❤❤
It was filmed where a black teenager was lynched, so is racist, he knew that, and I'm white and live in the deep South 😂
From a 5 generation family, that all lived in the same small town, of about 1500. Anything could happen and everyone knew of it and was there there to help. In sickness, troubles, births; we were all there.
My son was at 6’3” farm boy, so I never worried that someone would try to fight him, but I knew if he was in trouble, like truck trouble, wreck etc I knew dozens had his back while their moms were getting up with me.
If we saw a Nieghbor’s cow out we put it back up.
And I can not imagine anyone brave enough to try to hit me and get away with it. You just don’t do that to a female of any age much less a 67 year old grandma to everybody. No not in a small town.
And a true story. There was a out of towner arrested, he hit the Sheriffs deputy, and run. By the time the back woods boys drug him in, he was begging to be locked up.
LOVVVVE your post!!
Awesome 😂😂👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Appreciate your perspective on this song. It’s actually encouraging to have patriotic citizens still 🇺🇸
Thank you for your reaction. Your thoughts as a newer citizen make so much sense. I still love this country. Even with our flaws. They definitely made more out of this song and video. I live in a small town, and this never would fly. As it shouldn't. I agree with you, get out of the city. Love your reactions!
No racism at all its all about looking out for each other like most small towns do.
There is a clip on Utube where a guy tired that in a small town. The guy tries to shopplift a couple of grand worth of power tools from a Home Depot. Five men stopped him and hogtied him. Then waited until the police came.😂😂😂😂😂 Two white men, a black man and an hispanic man. All Americans.
Love the American flag all year round my brother ! Great to hear!
During covid, my wife was sworn in as a US Citizen. So sad that I couldn't be there to watch the ceremony. Welcome to America!!
Congratulations
The most patriotic folks I have met in my travels around this great nation are people that weren't born here and migrated to this country. Thanks for what you do here Sebs.
They thought they were going to try that in a small town in Idaho. The whole town showed up in the middle of town and lined the street holding guns. Antifa changed their minds. There's a video on line showing it.
Thanks to the controversy the song hit and stayed at #1!!
Those weren't protests, they were unlawful riots!
It's like people do not understand the difference. Setting cars on fire, causing damage to property, and vilifying an entire profession is never okay.
I'm so glad you heard this song. Haven't gotten time to watch your stuff recently, but I HAD to watch this one. Thanks for loving the country I was lucky enough to be born in. I agree that we can all do better, but I love it anyway.
Btw, You Make It Easy was co-written by Morgan Wallen. It was his first #1 as a song writer. You should hear him do it. He kills it. ♥️ And I still am moved by your immigration story. I wish that so many of the detractors would take the time to think and try to see it through your eyes. So proud to call you a fellow American Sebs. God bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸💙🇺🇸🇺🇸
I absolutely love your patriotism my fellow American!! 🇺🇸♥️
I enjoy your reactions and commentaries. Keep up the great work!
Never a reason for any riot. Peaceful protest is ok, a riot is never ok. I love this song and it appears that many others do as well. Good! It’s phenomenal! And I would’ve never listened to it if someone wouldn’t have started a stink about it. Great song, great message, and great video. Bravo.
Love your story…congratulations on becoming a US Citizen. Glad to hear you have a perspective from an immigrant whole came from a small area in Chile.
Before you even start let me tell you I just hit 60 always been a country music lover along with classic rock Etc. This song is amazing I don't give a crap who says what. All Jason was doing in this video was calling it like it is. If anybody says otherwise they're full of s***. It is an amazing song and you should hear his other song
I find it so sad that you were not able to share the moment of you becoming an American citizen with your family. Yet I am so happy you were able to experience that moment. I was born here in the USA, but would kind of like my retirement job to be. I will sit in my county court house and stand, cheer for every new citizen.
I love this song and I believe that it says exactly what it needs too… there is too much hate in this world…
Appreciate your journey. And Patriotism. Our Country is amazing.
This song for me represents community and taking care of each other…. Sometimes you don’t get that in a large city. It calls out the disrespect for others, robbing stores and violence against others, disrespect for the law. This won’t be tolerated in a small town where there’s a greater sense of community.
My husband painted our house Red,White and blue way before 911. I will never change the color. I wear my Patriotism daily.
Never too late for a great song ❤😊
The out lash was about the song being “racist” which there is not one single word that supports that claim. It’s a great song and made me feel proud and sad for our country at the same time.
It's not the lyrics that brought the racism question into play. It's the music video and where they choose to shoot it.
I found it suspect that they shot a video praising small town vigilante justice at a courthouse where small town vigilantes dragged an innocent black teen out of his jail cell and lynched him.
There had to be hundreds of more suitable locations to film the video for that song.
@@jameswilson2733 That location is used in many movies and videos, and no one ever had an issue with it before in the many decades it has been used in the entertainment business. That is a cop out to claim something bad happened there 100 years ago so only Aldean shouldn't use it. Something bad has happened in every location over 100 years so by that flawed logical thinking, no location would be suitable. He chose that location because it was local to him, resembles the White House and is used in the entertainment business all the time. I guess the Hallmark channel, Lifetime Channel, the show Hannah Montana, among many other programs and movies, must be all racist as well because they use the location repeatedly for filming and have for many years. That claim was just ignorance of people who take any twisted claim they see on the internet and run with it if it suits their wanted conclusion. That is not how critical reasoning works though.
@@betsybabf748 I understand many other things have been filmed there without controversy. The context of what is being filmed matters when you pick a filming location.
Would it be appropriate to film a video promoting American colonialism along the Trail of Tears?
There had to be hundreds of more appropriate places to film the video.
@@jameswilson2733 Oh, so you want to be personally called to approve content filmed there for you to determine if it is appropriate. Problem is, the world population is not here to make professional decisions just to appease you. It is both quite arrogant and ignorant to even think like that.
@@betsybabf748 Where the hell have I ever said anyone needed my permission for anything? I'm just stating an opinion that they could have picked a better place to film the video based on the song's content and the history of that courthouse.
You obviously disagree with that opinion strongly enough to resort to insults for some reason.
Question for you - Should the context of a thing be taken into account when deciding where to film something or to hold an event?
I love when people like yourself come here to the US and naturalize, go through the process and do it the right way. Honestly, people like yourself become more patriotic than many who are born here. Anyways, great reaction, truth 💯!
Did you say you live here in Utah?
I was born and raised in a small town, small community's around that small town. We do take care of our own! Don't try that shit here !
😂 This is one of the cases where 'it's better late than never ".
Small town girl here.. we take care of our own... not color lines... it's about community.. criminals will be dealt with. I''m on 150 acre farm... off a dang dirt road.. we had a criminal on the loose the last 2 weeks... never happened b4 but it happened.. I have an conceal and carry and so does my hubby... we usually just have our guns in the safe.. when this stuff happened.. hubby got out one of his conceal and carry.... We locked our doors and put on our alarm system.. Called our neighbors... r u ok... Protect your own and be there for your neighbors...
Loved your reaction. And you made me so happy when you said you display a flag all year long. Same here. The fact that some people think a flag is racist is just mind-blowing to me. I love my country. Not a fan of the government, but the two things are not the same. Keep rockin', Sebs!
I love that you're willing to push the envelope and listen, fairly, to songs like this and Oliver Anthony that is speaking up against the "crazy" going on. There is nothing wrong with the message in this song or Oliver Anthony's song. In fact they are spot on! I applaud, respect and appreciate that you are your own person! I really hope you stay that way and continue to react to great songs that lift the majority of Americans up!❤🇺🇸
In the small town I'm from most people would give a stranger the shirt off of their back...but also would never tolerate crime and destruction.
He is saying fuck around and find out in a small town. He even says " I suggest you don't."
Born and raised in a widespread county with less than 14,000 people... when the riots were happening we got word that a violent group was wanting to destroy some small towns. Well we put out the word to come on, we'll be waiting for you. Those "people" never showed their faces here or in any county surrounding us. We have our men driving their trucks with a gun rack like they have for probably 100 years, even our highschool guys. To assume that any house is not protected could prove to be a deadly mistake.
Loved your view on this song and our great country. Congratulations on your new citizenship. This was a great song and hard to watch at the same time. We need patriots like you. All are welcome but doing it the right way. My brother in law is from the Netherlands and while it took him a few years to become a citizen he did it the right way. You gained a new sub. I look forward to seeing more of your views. Oh I’m a small town south Texas older woman. Best of luck to you and your future here
This song is all about respecting and protecting one another. I love the message in it.
Shout out to you for not just hoping on it when it came out to rise the wave and I appreciate your perspective
Sebs, I love how beautifully patriotic you are.
There's a whole other side of our veterans that people need to hear. Please do a reaction to Five Finger Death Punch.
The song title is The wrong side of heaven.
This song you will not ever forget.
As a fellow vet, i'm disgusted, and sickened, at how many [illegal] immigrants are provided housing, food, clothes, medical care, and in some cases $$$ while our vets are left homeless to fend for themselves.
Ha i remember that video where you said oh snap. These two young guys comw in with a weapon getting ready to rob the store when the guy in the ball cap knocks him to the ground and pins him.
Thank you, @SebsDuran, for seeing this song as it is, and I come from a collection of small towns in NC and people look out for others even if they don't know them (so knowing when to openly confront situations verse letting the problem calm down before reacting), and for me being raised as a well-mannered young adult (20s) people older than me are thankful for the values my grandparents taught me and my siblings as well.
I am late to your channel, but freaking love it! This song resonates with me as I live in a small town. You need to watch the original movie Walking Tall. I am in my mid sixties and can barely remember our own Walking Tall Sheriff! We had the safest small town around. No one worried about locking their doors, because our own WT Sheriff did not put up with anything! Yet, he took care of our teenagers like they were his own kids. If they got into mild trouble, he scared them straight! Wouldn’t fly in this day in age, but man…..
My Family has been in law enforcement all over Ga and my Son is in it right now. She was part of a Reaction Group of LEO’s that were on the front lines of the riots in Atlanta. The stories were disgusting and heartbreaking what those officers went through and could do nothing about it. He said the rioters, not the peaceful protestors, were worse to the black officers, because they called them names and the only mild one I can say is Black Pig, but they didn’t use the word Black. I worry about my Son now more than I did when he first started. All I can do is vote and Pray!
Wish I could thumbs up more than once!! You are an American ideal!!!!
Criminal behavior is never acceptable and it definitely isn't the way to protest by rioting, destruction and disrespect. 🇺🇸
Peace, Love!! People are still on Rich Men North of Richmond, which was the next #1 hit on the charts, which is why this song has quieted a little.
Love that song!!! ❤
Lol small town has fallen from number 1 all the way to top 30 🤔 so it only had 1 week of popularity n drops that fast ? Seems a lil fishy if u ask me.
@@JohnathanTuya Isn't everything "fishy" these days?
@@kylesummers1565 by fishy I mean it was funded by billionaire conservatives which it explains why it rose like that to number 1 n then fell to 30. It’s like all the rich conservative donors funded it that week alone. I’ve never even heard the song on the radio, I don’t buy it that it genuinely made it to number 1
@@kylesummers1565 plus rich conservatives donors always buy conservative books in masss just to make it look popular. It wouldn’t shock me if they did that here too.
Im a old white cowboy.
Love seeing young Americans understanding this fantastic story!!!!
Great insights and analysis. Everyone would benefit from living in tighter-knit communities. If we'd all get off our phones and shake hands with our neighbors, the world would be a little bit better.
I came from a small town..had black friends Mexican friends even an Asian skateboarder ..but if someone messed with one of us we grouped up do protect eachother
♥️♥️♥️I'm from a small town it's true what he's singing about
Great song! I wish more people would live their life, keep a job and treat others with respect......
Thank you brother. That's what we are at heart.
Great reaction to a great song, people are skewing it to be what it isn't. It upsets me that the beautiful news clip at the end is gone.
Haha fellow Chileno based in Australia! Have also been an huge country rabbit hole too - Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan and Chris Stapleton. Never thought I’d be a fan but I am. Saludos y un abrazo!
First, i wanna thank you for going through proper channels and getting to this country legally. With how easy it is to enter this country without being legal or residing here, I'm glad to know people still live in this country enough to migrate here legally and aren't supporting these violent riots.
Secondly, i hope you love this country as much as us country boys do. This is the greatest country in the world, and it thrives most in small communities. You'll never be more accepted for who you are than in a small town. Even views we dont agree with are welcome here so long as they don't break the law or push something onto us.
Love this song & im from this town. The county courthouse looks beautiful in this video! I’ve paid a few speeding tickets there. 😂
You are not late: i just discovered him today
I feel like a lot of people who are angry at this song are misinterpreting it. Aldean is not criticizing peaceful protesting. He is criticizing rioting of which there is no justification. The song is speaking out against the looting, destruction of property (i.e smashing windows and setting police cars on fire), and general hatred of any and all police officers that took place during that time.
Go Jason you are a hero no criminals there
I'm raised in Fredericksburg Virginia we have seen the revolution was and civil war. I have so much love for my country. We have know total devastation but yet we're still here.
I think things can happen in a large city because people are more anonymous there. In a small town, you are known and can’t be disrespectful without being called out.
Mad guitar! Great song that sums up the country right now, and those that don't get what he's saying it's not about protests it's about riots completely different. People showing their asses. Not sure why they feel they are entitled to take what they want all an excuse to do it. And those who disrespect our flag have never been handed a folded one. 🇺🇲
Facts are Facts don't try that in a small town
I like your channel zebs...it's cool to be a watcher from ogden....keep it going bro...
Congrats on your citizenship!!
The reason he was attacked was not so much the song but his political views that him and his wife had been vocal about. Great reaction
Yes, this and the news footage he used, let’s be honest, January 6th could’ve and should’ve been shown more than it was, given that the things that happened after George Floyd was killed were used much more.
@jen7916 if people only knew that he didn't make the video - people that were hired did. He also didn't write the song - i read that 4 people did - he wasn't listed as one.
@@jen7916 Why should they show J 6th did anything get burned down? Did the cops let them in? yes, they did. Patriots don't burn down mom and pop businesses only BLM and ANTIFA do that. Try burning down stuff in small towns. Everyone has a shotgun. As Mr. Aldean says "GOOD LUCK"
@jen7916 you just made me laugh. Thank you for that
Have you tried Jason Aldean's, "Fly Over States"? It chokes me up every time.
Thank you for flying our Americn flag... we fly it every Day... it means something.... My parents raised me to appreciate that we live in this amazing country... Everyone that has the opportunity to live in this country should be thankful.. I know I am... and my children also.
You can protest all you want, just don't tear up anything, or hurt anyone! I mean, come on man!!! 😃
PEACEFUL protests are allowed, criminal activities are not. Stealing, looting, destroying property. I have respect or tolerance.
Its a free country, disagree, put civily, not like mindless fools.
Amen dude glad you see , everything in videos happened
Rich men north of Richmond should be on your bucket list for a reaction
Thanks!
I don’t see the problem with any part of this song. It’s the fact that he’s telling the truth that pisses people off. Honestly I feel like they look for ways to trash Jason
If a rapper or gospel singer was singing this it wouldn't be considered racist!!! I wish people would look at it like that!!! Love my small town. I can honestly say 99% of people here we watch out for our neighbors no matter RACE, OR RELIGION!!!!
I am not into country at all. I’m into rock and heavy metal but I will back Jason Aldean up every fucking time for this. This song has nothing to do with hate small town communities. I live in a small town and don’t you dare try any of the shit that you try in the city!! Down here
We've always been a work in progress. We probably always will be. I have to wonder though, if Darius Rucker had sung this instead of Jason Aldeen, would the anger have been triggered?
I might be a nobody, but it is nice to hear someone say they are happy to become a citizen. Great reaction
I love this song ❤
I just wished that this country wasn't so divided....we are all Americans and being from a small town we will have your back no matter what...Jason didn't even write this song his producers did....i love all races!!!!
LOL. I subbed back when you billed yourself as a country hater. Mainly because I wanted to see a reaction to someone who didn't really understand what country music was about. You caught it pretty dang quick, story telling in a song. BTW, love your reactions and congrats on your citizenship. I don't know if you have done any reactions to Home Free but that is another rabbit hole I truly believe you would enjoy. Peace be with you my friend.
I live in Mooresburg Tennessee, Population 709 people. We didn't have any protest. The only protest I seen was on TV.
my childhood was in a small town. finish growing in the big city. now i live in a small town to finish raising my children.
Small town in Texas, outside of Houston. We didn’t have protestors or rioters.
I LOVE your take on the song. That's what I got out of it because I grew up in a small town in Tennessee.
In short.. the controversy is the video location-
The video is filmed in front of the Maury County courthouse ; in 1927(yea almost 100 years ago) a young man of color was lynched from the small circular window you see in the beginning of the video with an American Flag draped down over it ( if you notice later in the video the same window is shown prior to the remodel of the courthouse and it's dark and hollow)
The young man , Choate, was 18 years old and had only been accused but was never convicted- over assaulting a young white girl .
He was only seen running away from the area and convinced soley on that .
- this is why the controversy...
However, many things were sadly handled differently 100 years ago in Confederate states and territories- and it's likely that these types of activities happened all over the south, not just at this courthouse.
Love Jason Aldean ❤
Wish you would check out his first song most people don't seem to remember called HICKTOWN. A real party song. Also BURNIN IT DOWN a great banymaker of a love song
I'm in rural KS. That big city riot stuff wouldn't fly. There's a university close by that tries to be like that, pushing protests and liberal mindset stuff, but the rest of us, no. My husband's family moved here from Cuba, proud naturalized Americans, he's first generation born American, zero issues with the song.
Glad your here bro. Believe me we will defend your rights as an American. Just live right and believe in yourself.
I think this song is super, my favorite line is, "I recommend you don't,"
Bless you✌️
Thank you haters for making this number one
Congrats on becoming a US Citizen--LEGALLY!! This song IS and always WILL be my ringtone on my phone, and I love blaring it out MY car windows when these idiots have that disgusting rap crap on (I'm talking like WAP). Stay safe...
Cmt removed it, people are saying its racist and promoting violence. Whis it's not. But small towns protect their own. Meaning citizens of small towns.
Love your channel God bless you
A good portion of the footage is not even from American protests. Many were from events in Europe. So many folks automatically associated the videos with BLM, but a little research would reveal that is not the case. People see what they want to see.
Love the title of this video😂 Yeah you could say it was on the news, communists were having meltdowns all across the country!
“Recommend you don’t” is country for FAFO 🤣
I grew up in a small town, less than 5000 people. I'm old now but, in 1968, there were lots of riots going on nationwide. A couple of riots happened in large cities near us. One day, word spread through town that a large group was gathering not far from us with plans to march thru our town. Most of our citizens got word, left work, came home, loaded their guns and sat on their porch, waiting. Everyone agreed that if the march was peaceful, there would be no one hurt but, as my dad said, if I see one of them getting ready to throw a firebomb, I'll drop him where he stands.
There was no march.
People in small towns protect themselves and others. We would never tolerate what we see on tv.
