I used to walk up to Frank’s stand every Friday and Saturday night (I once lived in Lexington, SC. but did my drinking in 5 Points) and get the egg rolls. Occasionally I’d switch up to A Dog with Slaw , But those egg rolls with ranch were the real deal. Frank was dependable , You knew without fail that once you left the bar you could head to Frank’s stand and he’d be there . Yes Frank was A really nice guy, Sorry to hear of his passing .
Frank's was the place for me and my brother as kids. Restaurant on one side and pool hall in the back. He allowed some of us kids inside the pool hall during the day to play video games from the early 80s to the mid 80s! Space Invaders, Galaxian, Galaga, Pac Man and of course a few pinballs games. KISS was my favorite!!! We didn't care about the score. We just wanted to keep the ball in play. When I was an adult, I got a chance to talk to Frank at his mobile truck! I told him how much we appreciated him letting us play video games during the summer times. Kept us out of trouble. Man, the smile on his face! And of course, the hot dogs! We couldn't afford them much as a kid, but when I did get them. They were great!!!! Something about the chili!! RIP Old Man.
Frank's Hot Dogs! Wow! This brings back many Memories! Steve! Its good to see that you're still carrying on the Barco tradition! I remember us running around Domininon Hills as kids and eating hot dogs at your house!! Guess who I am!! 😉👍🏾👏🏾
