Great tip that i have never seen online. Wonder how many repair shops put together a healthy repair bill when this is the only problem and if they only charge the 1/2 hr. minimum rate sucks if you had to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get your equipment back when this was the only problem. Should save your viewers major on this tip!
Thanks dude. I don’t have one of those propane butane things. What else can I use? Maybe I can just buy a new one. A guy was moving and just gave me the weed eater.
Where the spark arrestor screws in, does it ever get clogged there? Have a weedeater that will not rev up. Also have one that will not idle. Have done the carbs. Even took the one that does not rev up to a friend that works in small engines on a regular basis. He gave up on it. I assume he checked compression.
Check compression to rule that out, as the greater the compression, the greater the suction to pull fuel in at low rpm. If you rev it out it pulls fuel through just fine so a bit lower compression wouldn't really affect higher rpm. Also, you could take the whole muffler off if you wanted to. The spark arrestors get clogged but then again the whole muffler/exhaust could be gummed up.
I have gotten rid of a few weedeaters that would fall to the ground if held by the starter rope thinking they had low compression. Some would hesitantly fall to the end of the rope. Could that have been border line low compression?
Man iv got the same weed eater but my spark arrestor or lack there of doesn't look anything like yours! My hedge trimmer has the same arrestor as this in the video!
Excellent point ,was not aware of this fact.Thankyou

@@EliminatorPerformance Mufflers were clear. I normally check the muffler and spark arrestor first thing.
Absolutely
