Brilliant! I have a different issue in that I have a wall on one side and and a banister that has a bit of flex (1/2") on the other side. So pressure-mounting won't do. This is nice because it folds back too. I would suggest a couple of things to improve the appearance (if one wants). (a) get some of the baby safety corners and use them instead of foam (they peel off later). (b) rotate the tie wraps so that they join at the back out of site (c) fold down the excess tie and tape it or cut it off flush and sand it so that there is no roughness. I will mount a strip of wood on the wall too, so that I can mount that with toggle bolts and screw the hinges into that piece, like you did. Thanks again for the idea
