I thought that this video was comprehensive and securing. Being a DIY I shall order this manifold I like the idea that the pressure values are a part of the system...all of it now simplified because of this video...even increasing the pressure slowly...really great thank you so much

Do you have a video of the mixing valve plumbed up to the manifold

We are setting up our radiant floor tube tomorrow. We don’t have water on the property yet. Can we pressure test the lines without water? You mentioned water in the video so I’m just trying to make sure we are prepared

you said if your using where freezing my occur use proper antifreeze and then removed it... is the unit suited to continually use antifreeze? like say if i was only heating it 50% of the time its needs to stay in there ??

Just trying to figure out how many pumps I will need for a large floor area of about 3000 sf--It is all one zone, but I will need 12 loops, I think. For 12 loops one zone, how many pumps do I need? Thanks in advance for your comments.

I need two 4 branch manifolds, for 1/2” pex. I see many different ones on ebay and other sites. What do you recommend? Thx

Is all this information available in a pdf format? A installation manual with lot more detail?

I bought a 6 circuit manifold. My plan is to feed four cast iron radiators & two runs of radiant floor heat. Couldn't I just turn the flow down on the floor runs to keep the temps a bit lower?? My other thought was to feed the floor runs from the return side of the cast radiators after they have lost some heat. Any thoughts?

My manifolds are identical to the one in your video except they are 10 loop. I would like to bring the tubing from second floor to the manifold from the top and to bring 20 tubes down the sides and make a U turn up to the manifold seems too tight due to room available. Can I turn the mini folds upside down with flow control valves facing down so the tubes can enter from top????

Does it matter which way up the manifold is? My pipes come in from above, not below.

How hot can the water be going in the manifold

How tight do the connections into the manifold need to be? I’m spraying soapy water onto the connections and pretty much all of them are leaking air during my air pressure test. Thank you!

Same here. Same reason I am watching this video of the manifold I bought. Seems pretty broken to me.

    • @alejandrodebasilio1606
      @alejandrodebasilio1606 Год назад

@@lappinrappin I figured it out. I was scared to tighten it too much and that was the issue. Those fittings and pex tubing can be tightened quite a bit. So don’t be scared and keep tightening. I did a pressure test afterwards and it held just fine.

@@alejandrodebasilio1606 thanks for the reassurance. I found a different video of someone else complaining about it and it was the same solution- tighten them like crazy.
I did it and so far my pressure is holding. Thanks!

Good evening, I have a Tiemme (italy) manifold & I don't think I have it properly set up. ? My top row has the (white) adjusters & I have the hot feed flowing into this row.....I have a feeling it should be the other way around.......Does your "Red" indicate that thats where you attach the hot feed...?? My system works ok....but I imagine it's the reverse of what it should be.....Any help appreciated.. Bill

Yes, hot comes into supply side where the flow valves are

If the manifold and related components were completely taken apart and inspected, how tight do we tighten them back up prior to putting back in service? And this pressure test is with system full of water, not air only?

another vendor sent me here when I asked questions on their unit, looks very similar other than both sides have manual air bleed units.

    Office floors are cold
    I have a 3 branch manifold.
2 branches run through the living room floor and one runs through the office floor
The living room floor is warm. The office floor is cold
When I touch the one pipe that connects to the manifold from the office , it’s cold to the touch.
When I touch the other two pipes on the same manifold that run to the living room they are hot.
Why is the very left branch of the manifold that runs to the office cold and yet the other two branches to the right of the office branch running to the living room warm.

Actuator broken OR pin stuck down OR huge air bubble commonest. If no actuator, make sure the decor knob isnt screwed down too much. Stuck down pin is common. Take off the 3 actuators or decor units and inspect

poorly made, who you think can do this after watching your video? install it for real into a system and perform what you said.
