Oh I bet. This road is fairly new now with it being paved. I actually prefer to drive down the sea of Cortez side over the pacific side anytime heading far south because of how nice it is.
We made this trip a few weeks ago, it was so beautiful! we went via San Felipe on our way there, but returned via the Pacific route, which placed us in the middle of Cataviña, which was fantastic as well. I'd say both routes are great
Ya I know but in those rural areas you’re not gonna get a 20 x 1 exchange rate. And many gs stations and places are cash only. I personally live in Baja so don’t have USD anyways But just figured to give a rough estimate for those traveling from the states.

I drove south from San Felipe in 2010. It was dirt, gravel, and seriously washboard road for hours. It was a beating, but it was sure an adventure.

No it took about 6.5 hours from Ensenada.
