Marco, it is a great pleasure to see you again, I have always enjoyed watching you cook for Brad and the buddies on your Trailrecon travels, and now I have the great pleasure of traveling with you to places you know and love, and learn a little appreciation for Mexico! The. Baja is a world apart from most locals north of the border. I know San Felipe a little, and that’s it. After watching your video I need to go back and beyond-further to the south!

I did several of these trips 98-06. I was helping out a two ATV team that ran Banshees and later switched to Raptors. My local Big O Tire shop sponsored them and I was friends with them.
After the 1000 we’d head over to the Cortez coast to fish and relax before heading back. I miss those trips.

BTW, actually those are not Saguaro cactus but their cousin, the Cardon cactus, with a slightly more blue tint to the skin and more clustered spines, but that is just getting picky for us Phoenix, AZ folks

Hey Marco! Great trip so far... the views, food, beaches, everything looks wonderful. I checked Google, Playa La Gringa is 573 miles from my house near Phoenix. Easy two day drive to enjoy beaches and views like that while camping is something I need to put on my list. If van campers can do it with 2wd rigs, then the drive must be easy. Suggestion: Maybe go over what it takes to get Mexico insurance if traveling by vehicle from the U.S., and what to do for roadside assistance if needed. Exchange money to Peso or is U.S. dollar accepted... I know debit cards will be charged in Peso's according to the exchange rate, so that is easy if businesses take cards. And, will an iPhone on Verizon work on Mexico cell towers or will I lose reception? I know, so many questions! Thank you. Looking forward to the next video of your trip as you continue on. Cheers! Oh man Marco, you're really making we want to hit Baja! Just another month. Thanks for the info on the east side. We're so used to going down the west coast. This time we may leave our house in San Diego and go thru Tecate and try the west side. Only down side is we really love Catavina and we would miss that area. Can't to watch the next episodes. (BDLA is pretty windy this time of year huh?)

Thank you for taking us along with you! I just got back a couple of weeks ago from beautiful Baja. It was amazing! One of the places we wanted to visit was Punta Final. We drove all the way down to it, and the beach was closed. The gentleman at the entrance said it was a private beach. I really wish we could have gotten to see it. We were able to get on the beach just north of it, but it was definitely not what you showed in your video. I look forward to seeing the rest of your adventures!
You probably went to the left on that dirt road! That beach is private, the right side takes you to a gate with a sign that shows prices and rules
@OVRLNDX that is where we were at. Right in front of the gate. We were told we couldn't go to the beach. Oh well, I guess we will have to check it out next time. There definitely will be a next time! Thanks for the info!

Really wish you'd stop making these baja videos. Ever since you tubers started going down there, it's been getting really crowded and destroyed. If you own there, you would understand.
People has been going to Baja for the longest time Ryan. I was born in Baja and own property there. Ask the locals who live of the tourists if they want them out? How do you think Loreto became the beautiful town that it is? Do you have idea how many poor families “survive” because of tourism?

I won't go back after those 3 surfers got murdered sleeping on the beach at Encinada. You're okay to stay at resorts but camping in that area....not so much. #Dangerous
