    The mushroom tartlets tasted perfect baked from my freezer! The puff pastry wrapped Brie and fig was insane! I also baked right out of my freezer!!! This is perfect to have ready to go in your freezer!!!!!!!! So good!!!!! Thank you Beth!!!!!

    I have made the braided fig Brie four times and we love it. Beth provides such simple explanations that I felt confident I could make the same beautiful creation. Well, it came out beautifully, especially when I realized in Florida with the hotter temperatures if I put the puffed Brie in the fridge for 10 minutes before baking it the whole thing puffed up much higher. Thanks Beth.

      You are so welcome! And yes! Puff Pastry needs to be really cold to "puff up and do it's thing!" So I glad you did that step :) And so glad to hear it was such a hit! :)

    Hi Beth! If you don't have a rimless flat baking sheet turn a regular baking sheet upside down and use the bottom of the pan!

    Just the recipe I was looking for. The first one. I adapted it to blueberry/cream cheese danish for breakfast. I’ll be putting almonds on them in the morning along with icing. Thanks SO much !

    Hi Beth, you’ll notice in the comments below that I first made your braid 10 months ago and today my neighbor just wanted to be sure I was making it again for our Fall Harvest party in a couple weeks. It is THAT memorable!

    I made the braid one as a dessert for dinner, and my favorite combo is some lemon curd and blueberries, it is so sweet and tart and the color is unreal. It does leak a little but I don't mind, I think it adds to the presentation. Thanks!

      Oh yum! That sounds fab! Another great one is to fill it with Nutella and top with powdered sugar after it's baked. I did this for my daughter's sleepover party and it was a BIG hit with the 10-year set! Ha! :)

    Beth I discovered your channel about two weeks ago and I've become an addict. Loved this video and tutorial in particular because I was looking for some puff pastry recipes. The do-ahead aspect of the recipes is a great bonus for this time of year as well. (I'll be adding a bit of sherry and rosemary to the mushroom filling).

    Just made this braid for our 5 person Social Committee. This time I used an apricot fig jam. Gone!! I don’t think I’ve run into such a successful recipe before. Elegant and easy, a must try.

    Thank you so much for simply showing how to use/score the sheets of puff pastry. Never having used them I had no clue what to do with them (roll out more, bake first????) once I had defrosted the sheets. The fillings were no prob. Great Help!!

    Hi Beth, I made the Brie and fig jam braid as appetizer for a summer party. It was an absolute hit and guest went for seconds. You are right, you do need 2 braids for a party of more than 8. This will be one of my go to appetizers. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes.❤️

    I didn't have any fig jam and as I didn't have time to source I used sun dried tomatoes and a little Italian sauce and garlic as a base under butter. Delicious. Thank you.

    Made the Fig and Brie braid for a Thanksgiving party. It was a huge success! The fig jam does pair nicely with the cheese. So easy but looks like it wasn’t . Very festive! Will be making the other two appetizers shortly. Thanks, Beth!

    Hi Beth. I found a spicy chicken sausage that reduces the calories from 225 per serving for Italian sausage down to 80. Still delicious. I make these three appetizers all year long as my neighbors constantly request them.

    Came upon this recipe just a couple of days ago and tried it instantly! Did not have fig jam so tried with apricot jam instead. Turned out yummy! The braid looks extra pretty! Thanks for sharing!

    Love this recipe. I do mine with the same cheese, mango chutney instead of jam and I put the crushed walnuts on the cheese before closing the pastry. Also good !

      That’s the beauty of this appetizer. Depending on who I’m feeding, I switch the types of jammy fillings and nut placement, it all works. Also, it works as an appetizer or dessert, depending on your guests tastes. It always adds an elegant, I went to lots of work statement.

    I made both the Braid and the Pin Wheels....they were a fantastic hit at a recent Happy Hour with friends....I want to consider the mushroom filled pastry for another occasion! Your directions for all are splendid! Although I didn't make my own puff pastry this time, I know that in the future I will because it is so much fressher!

    Another fabulous video, Beth! I made the jam & brie braid for Thanksgiving this year but used raspberry jam because I couldn't find fig. Still turned out amazingly! I made 2 braids for only six of us but every crumb was gobbled up. Thank you!

    Thank you Beth!!! I first fell in love with Brie cheese when I went to a gathering at a friends house last year. I had to ask “what kind of cheese is this?” I attempted this with the first Brie I had that I bought from Walmart. I didn’t cut off the white surrounding it and I couldn’t find fig jelly so I used boysenberry and it didn’t taste good. I tried the Brie cheese and it had this strong bitter almost chemical flavor. That is when not all Brie’s are made the same lol so I finally went to Safeway where the Brie was originally from that I tasted and loved and I found fig jelly. AMAZING!!! Even my picky husband liked it lol

      Ha! Aww bravo! I'm so glad he liked it too! OK here's an even easier Fig/Brie combo that is just as good! Maybe for this year? Fair warning it's completely addictive, my husband and I made one to taste before I shot the video and and before we knew it the whole thing was gone and we looked at each other thinking did we each just eat half a wheel of brie for dinner?!
