You're right, I have Slayer pro4x4 and that's how it behaves. But it's very fun anyway, it's faster and better than other very cheap models. I'll test revo 3.3 soon, I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. I wanted a Thunder Tiger Sladgehammer s50, it looks like a real monster truck when it is driven but unfortunately it is no longer manufactured, and it is hard to find in my country.
That was a very nice MT. I have been waiting on 3D to improve to print durable parts. That may be the answer. The Reco 3.3 is nice, but the suspension id too soft and bottoms out easily. The rear sags so much on acceleration is hit every bit or terrein with the rear plate. Once the rear is tuned and stiffen, it is fun. I think Traxxas makes the best nitros for the price.
This is really hood stuff. I like some realism and I'm not really a basher as such. I've just bought a Slayer, on the strength of your videos. I'll use the Slayer for more scale driving and my nitro slash for more hooning around. Thanks for you hard work. 🤝
Scale is awesome. I actually took my Nitro Slash and replace the arms and links to make a drag body fit. I have not has time to tune it. But when I do, I shall make some videos. It has my Fox Body on it now.
@@telecomandorc I'll look forward to that. I have a Chevy Malibu drag body which is going on a Nitro Firestorm. Tamiya TT02 rear arms and TT02B front arms are just the right size. It's a shame I'm in the UK, we could have made a joint race video. 🤝
That is true. It does well in a dee gee surface at a local park. There use to be a small pool (45cm 18" deep if that. Well, more of a pond made for water fowl to come in. I guess the community though kids may drown so they filled it with dee gee.
@@ramos.nitrorc That's actually what caught my eye. I could just brush off the caked on dirt after every tank rather than carrying a ton of filters and swapping them.
The Slayer is too narrow. Once the tires dig in, it's game over. It does very well in loose dirt though. The Revo give more warning when about to flip.
It is a fun mt. I did replace the shock oil and springs as I thought them to bee too soft out of the box. I think 20% is easier to tune than 30%, but the power with 30% is impressive... but mind the temperatures and run a little richer with 30%.
Slash is more fun on common terrain and flatter, but the Slayer is more capable going up hills and teller grass. But I really like the Slash. I actually turned one into a muscle car: ruclips.net/video/8tbeuNq1blM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/1zRk-gT6_2U/видео.html

The revo is set a little bit slower in max speed

@@barrysrcdump3557 It certainly is. Especially a nitro video. 🤝
The slayer is a lot of fun in the dirt and small jumps, it won't flip if you can drift.

you should get motor saver filters!!! will last you longer and safer as well.
I just looked them up. They look pretty nice. Thanks.
@@telecomandorc yeah and with the outer mesh they don't need to be cleaned as often!

I just built a monster slayer
(Slayer pro with Revo suspension components)
Cool. How do you like the handling?
I dont have the slayer but i can say from own n a revo the center of gravity should be better in the slayer. As far as roll over ijs🤷♂️

Slash vs Slayer?
