    Happening in court:
    Day 2
    Christi Dembrowski - Johnny Depp’s Sister
    Isaac Baruch - Friend Of Plaintiff
    Lunch
    Video Deposition of Brandon Patterson
    Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
    The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. There is a possibility of celebrity witnesses testifying, including James Franco and Elon Musk. Tune in to the Law&Crime Network for daily coverage of this high-profile trial.

      @@ICA509 As freqent makeup wearer, it is possible to apply makeup in such a way that is not noticable. HOWEVER, the general rule of thumb for "no makeup makeup" is that less is more. You have to use very light and thin layers of application to subtly enhance your features. This type of makeup wouldn’t be NEARLY enough to cover cuts and bruises. And no amount of makeup can cover swelling. I recommend looking at pictures of Rihanna after she got assaulted by Chris Brown. Take a good look at her bruised and swollen face, and see if you can honestly say that makeup and amica cream could cover that.

      100%. And if you need to cover a bruise or a wound, you're going to need more than just a tinted moisturizer or a natural foundation to cover it up, which will then be very noticeable. Unfortunately, she didn’t name Depp in that piece. I don’t think she even mentioned it happening during marriage but I could be wrong. So it’s possible they don’t win, but I think the public can clearly see and make judgements about the character of both people involved, so in the court of public opinion… well, I don’t think Depp will have a problem getting movie deals after this and Heard probably will.. but only time will tell.

    The way Johnny stopped to give a hand to everyone stepping out of the car just shows to me how he puts others before himself, he’s on trial but puts other’s needs before his own. Most stars don’t care about the other people in the car and just walk right in. Idk that just stood out to me

      I just came to watch Isaac so I would have missed that... thank you for mentioning it, it got me to go look. It's at 39:32 or so, for anyone else who didn't see it. You are so right! That's so sweet and thoughtful and natural of him to just make sure everyone else is safe and ok when he's in the middle of the biggest fight of his life. When people call him a true southern gentleman, everything continually points in big and small ways to that being true, like that little detail that says so much about his character.

      He's an actor, so stuf like that shouldn't be considered at all. The whole case is a battle for public opinion and both sides will pull all the card's

      He seems to have forged a close relationship with all of his employees, coworkers, and lifetime friends. Although the jury won't hear it in this case, all of his former girlfriends made statements saying that he was never abusive. I wish all of them would have been able to testify. I know my comment is late; I'm just watching some of the days I missed in real time.

    What does any of this have to do with Amber LYING and selling her LIES to the media, USING Johnny for publicity, and dragging him through the mud? Especially when he just lost his mother and was going through an addiction. Poor Johnny. I hope he knows everyone is on his side!!

    Christi is bada$$. Despite the attempts from AH lawyer's, to twist her in knots, she avoids them at everytime. They ask the same question several different ways and try to trip her up but she doesn't budge.
    They said in the opening statements this was all about the op-ed and what she wrote. Now they are making it all about addiction.

    • @lilly-qp6dy
      @lilly-qp6dy 2 года назад +6

      Jd side could have offered objections if it seemed needed, wich they did some times. But they probably saw it as unnecessary as his sister could hold her own through the questions. But from what I saw they definitely were trying to trip her up about drug addiction or pain meds addiction.

    I really think the defense attorneys did themselves a disservice by asking specifics about the pent house. The way he recalls every detail to the T just shows that every other detail he has is accurate…

  • @evelinacistiakova1221

    Isaac is a true legend, when asked about drug and alcohol use he said 'yes and I did it too'. so he clearly proves that he's there to tell the true story and not painted picture like AH and her team. Also, what caught my attention is that the judge is very rather close to AH team and is very professional to JD team. It's when it comes to the communication between attorneys and the judge. She is smily and jokes with AH team but is very straight forward with JD's team. Not sure if that's just me or anyone else caught that too, not calling her biased but it kind of made me unlike her in a way. Johnny Depp is the winner of people's hearts whatever the end of this is, AH deserves prison and mental institution for all she did.

    • @nikkidean8205
      @nikkidean8205 2 года назад +11

      Yes I noticed it too. When JD lawyers would object to something the judge would overrule it but when AH lawyers object to something must of the time the judge was sustaining the objection.

    • @evelinacistiakova1221
      @evelinacistiakova1221 2 года назад +16

      I had heard from an attorney on the internet, and she made it very clear. If it was for the judge - JD would 100% lose this case. But because there is jury he has high chances of getting it. Let's hope Jurys are not as biased as the judge and they can actually see all the biased remarks from the judge.

    • @americasinger4249
      @americasinger4249 2 года назад +8

      And why is she biased? Because the victim is a MAN and not a WOMAN. Like come on, why else would she be so biased if she doesn't know Johnny's or Amber's team?
