Sierra Boggess is back on Broadway! The "Phantom" star chats with Show People host Paul Wontorek about hanging with "the Lord" Andrew Lloyd Webber, her Little Mermaid birthday cake and her craziest backstage antics.

I love how she says that at the end of the 25th anniversary her singing to the Phantom in the end happened organically. If you watch the performance you can see how emotionally charged all the scenes between them were, and honestly, I don't think it's just great acting. Anyone can see how much chemistry they have together, and they must have a very strong bond to portray the characters so emotionally. I just love how she herself says that it was something that just happened and wasn't planned. I truly think they have an amazing connection, even if they are just friends.

HBCfunnymoments She's really great! She sometimes talks sometimes not, which is understandable, but she has always come out after the shows to at least say hi! The best time I had seeing her was after her cabaret last October. Hope you get to meet her as well some day! :)

HBCfunnymoments well you are very welcome haha. And I think it depends on the night you go. I saw a weekend show so of course it was packed but if you go on a weekday I'm sure it's less packed. Really she only had the time to thank me for coming and listen to the little blurb I had to say to her, she has a lot of people waiting to see her so she honestly has to keep moving. It also depends on the show as well. Since School of ROck is pretty popular there were tons of people there to get there playbill signed by Sierra and Alex. IF you do see SOR do expect Alex Brightman to talk to you for as long as you wanna talk to him! He's very down to earth. He's great! I think it's just a personal choice of Sierra's to kinda get through it all quick. I mean it could just be a personality thing. She might not just feel as comfortable with all the people telling her that she's their idol haha I know I wouldn't.

Watching this after Ramin's interview is so funny because the two of them are polar opposites but that's probably what makes them such good friends.

Sierra is too sweet for words, I love her, she's so spontaneous, energetic and goofy, love her sense of humour! She sings so beautifully and is my favorite Christine. On top of that she's a "tree-hugger" and love cats. Cannot be more perfect, definitely one of the women I admire the most xD

I'm only here because I listened to her sing Think of Me and Phantom of the Opera and I was so impressed that I had to look up an interview of her, to convince myself she's an actual human being. So amazing.

When the London version of LND closed. ALW had many scenes rewritten . Then it opened in Australia and was well received. I'm wondering if this is why Sierra feels the need to play it again, with the new writing. There is still a chance that it could come to Broadway and Ramin has recently said in an interview that if it does, he has been given first rejection rights by ALW. I'm not sure if Sierra got the same offer, but I sure hope so. I would love to see them together again.

My group got Love Never Dies and The Phantom of the Opera for a group project. I just got cast as Christine for the presentation. I have been a Sierra Boggess fan since The Little Mermaid and She has always been my inspiration. I hope to be like her someday and because of her I want to be a theater actress. I dedicate my performance to her. My all time favorite Christine

Yes, it could come across as rude but, I guess you've also got to look at it in a professional actor/actress's point of view. Her and Ramin were the first Christine and Phantom in LND so it's almost like their baby. They were the first ones to really portray those characters.
Am I the only one who like the wig they used for the 25th Anniversary in the UK better than the one they used here? I know it is the original one but I kind of like the softer curls better.

Does anyone else hear an accent when she speaks? She almost sounds foreign to me (I know she isn't) but no one agrees with me! I feel like I'm in an alternate universe like I'm the only one that can hear it! Haha. Love her!
She's from Colorado...but she studied opera for many years and all the Opera singers that I have met have a very "odd" accent because they study so many different languages. It happens with actors too...sometimes they can forget how to speak in their natural voice

If you watch videos from longer ago, the accent is more evident, but I couldn't figure it out. It was like a southern/brooklyn/italian accent lol i was confuzzled

I feel like Love Never Dies doesn't honor the characters in Phantom. I think it almost continues a different storyline, plays off of the hypothetical of Christine loving the Phantom. I just don't think that Christine in Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of the Opera loved the Phantom or that she would have done what she would have had to to grow into the Christine form Love Never Dies. I think Love Never Dies is almost exploratory. Does that make sense?

It did sound a bit snobby, but her interpretation was different. Me, as a stage actress, understand what she meant. It wasn't that she was saying "My performance is better than all the others", but it's hard to watch other people perform the role you played because you start comparing yourself to that other person, and begin to feel insecure. And as if you say the show was a 'train wreck', it still made her and Ramin very popular.
