This training program and "drill" was one of the pillars of Big Kouz's training that helped him come out of nowhere and kill it in the big leagues! It is so important to develop bat speed and in this video we show you how!
Love the video, will definitely try it!! One question though, where can I get access to the free PDF, I followed the link to the website only to find there was nothing there?
Dude such a sick intro. Dang I wish I had this incredible knowledge when I was playing back in the day. Great video and thank you for the knowledge. You break it down really well. Excited to see more.
You guys should buy a camwood bat those are rally good bats for pre game and for increasing bat speed I saw results in just two months and I'm in my 3rd month and my swing feels faster and my bats feel less heavier than they used to and I won't doubt the process. This is just a suggestion and I enjoy your drills
Hi Nicholas, yes I have heard that the Camwood bats work great. I will have to look into getting some of those for sure. Thanks for the suggestion, so glad to hear that they are working so well for you man! Good luck this season, keep working hard!
Jordan yes you can still get results for sure. Having the intent in training is a huge piece of it. It is all a matter of “optimization” and having the 20% over load and under load is more ideal, but if you are working hard to do max effort sets with a 5-10% overload and under load then you can certainly still see positive gains
@@Jordan-ol8kr The under load will help you prime your nervous system to operate quicker and it will help train those fast twitch muscle fibers to train the quickness element of your bat speed. The overload will help train more of the strength aspect of your bat speed.
You never answered the question. All 3 sessions in one day? Or one session per day? Also, whats the difference between 1 set of 12 swings, and 2 sets of 6 swings? It's the same number of swings. Confused
1 of 12 or 2 of 6 are indeed the same total amount of swings. However, the set of 12 will provide a bit of a different stimulus because of a little more pre-fatiguing for those last 6 swings. And when you say 3 session in one day or one per day, if one session = the full sets & reps of the game bat, underload bat, & 9overload bat, then just one session per day. Does that make sense?
You continue training! Ideally you train super hard right before the season starts - maybe 2-3 months prior, and then save your body and maintain throughout the course of the peak season.
@@jacksonbabione4963 Mr. Baboon. No one said, "progressive overload" does not work. How you came to that conclusion is bewildering. If you want to speak of intelligence, your deduction skills (or lack thereof) on display here are dismal at best. In closing, let me use some of your own words. But in this case they will actually address the video, my original comment and your (try) at a reply. "You are not (aren't isnt a word, Mr. Baboon), too bright if you think this is NOT a commercial." Sorry for the late reply, your mom keeps me busy, if you know what I mean. Nice lady though....very nice.

Catalyst Sports great stuff guys... just one quick question. How often or how many times a week do you suggest the training?
Love the video, will definitely try it!! One question though, where can I get access to the free PDF, I followed the link to the website only to find there was nothing there?
Hi Luca, I can email you the PDF. Why don't you shoot me a DM on Instagram @GoCatalystSports and I can get your email and get the PDF to you.
Love the breakdown of information. Makes it easy to understand, even for me! And the editing is 🔥
I’m going to discuss this with my grandson. Very interesting!! He should definitely be doing this. Thanks!
Great! Let us know if it makes sense to him and if you would like to see more videos like this!
@@CatalystSports I definitely want to see more videos like this ASAP
Drew Tooley Alright my man...we’ll get some going 💪🏼
Good stuff guys, as always!
Thanks so much! Scott is the mastermind per usual 🤔
Heck ya. Couldn't agree more. Crushing vids and bat Speeds ALL DAY
Dude such a sick intro. Dang I wish I had this incredible knowledge when I was playing back in the day. Great video and thank you for the knowledge. You break it down really well. Excited to see more.
Drew Tooley yes sir! Glad you enjoyed it
This works!!!!
What are your thoughts on taking swings from the other side of the plate like the Superspeed program?
This is neat
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 that’s our goal, neat content 💪🏼
Will it still be effective if I use a bat over 20 percent heavier?
Yes that should still work just fine but ideally no less than that or the weight differential won't be enough to create an overload effect.
Love KOUZ! Friars should have dealt Headley instead…
How do we get the free 6 week bat speed spread sheet in pdf?
Do you do all 3 sessions once a week or all 3 sessions each day?
Ideally three to four sessions each week, six to ten weeks before the season hard, and then once to twice a week during the long season!
@@CatalystSports Appreciate the reply!
Sorry, I have to ask also: three sessions (136 swings) per one practice or only one of sessions at the each practice?
😮

Do I still have results if I’m only able to have 5-10% decrease and increase?

Catalyst Sports that’s exactly what I’ve been doing and it’s working for sure. But what does the under-load aspect of the training help?

Catalyst Sports okay thanks
@@CatalystSports Is this once a week ?or 5 days a week
Hey coach its me Asher just on my moms computer I was restricted on my phone
Ok sounds good bud. Glad you were able to check out the video👍
@@CatalystSports I hate being restricted especially when it comes to bat speed
Drew Tooley yeah restrictions are super frustrating

got to 4 minutes in, found out this was a commercial and changed the channel. hope the kids are wise to this B.S
Not really he explains over and over that even without the product you should still do this
You aren’t too bright if you think progressive over load doesn’t work
