      They also need a stronger mix of degreaser i think. I've don't test like this with the amount of degreaser and how long, and the little leftover harder buildup will come on with a strong ass mix lol waste chemical, but looks good if you charge em for the chem.

    I can tell yall from experience that a hot surface cleaner at the correct temp is untouchable, we never used hot water out of the wand as we strictly used it for blowing debris out of the path we intend to use the surface cleaner on. Also, we used an 8gpm washer with the built in diesel burner so we had no need for a back fill tank. Super dope set up.

    • @thebrothersbarn6094

      Make your own. Purple power from walmart, Instant power liquid drain cleaner (has sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide in it). Dilute up to 10 to 1 with water and you will have a stronger degreaser than anything you can buy from supply stores. Plus about a quarter of the price

    Use a 14 inch cleaner with your pump. 20 inches is too big which causes striping

    • @thebrothersbarn6094

      The 20 inch works really well for us now. Change the tips and it does amazing.

    It is a real pisser when you spend the money on a hot water system only to have the cold water system do the job a little better and faster. During colder months the hot water system might have the edge.

    • @thebrothersbarn6094
      @thebrothersbarn6094  2 года назад +2

    We have truck mounted carpet cleaning machines that get up to 300 and will only spit out steam . When we do power washing we do turn down the heat to just warm for best results .

    I feel like hot water only truly comes into play when you have a large area to clean. It doesn't clean...BETTER...but it cleans faster. only more pressure/gpm will clean better.

    • @thebrothersbarn6094
      @thebrothersbarn6094  2 года назад +2

    Is there a reason you were using a pump sprayer for the degreaser rather than through the dual wand? I’m looking into dual wands but not sure if they’re worthwhile over a jrod downstreamer or pump sprayer.

    • @thebrothersbarn6094
      @thebrothersbarn6094  2 года назад

      The power washer " hot pressure washer" we rented it so we didn't want toess with the dual wand.
      As for our system we still use a pump up sprayer for degreaser. They are cheap to us and we don't have to have a lot of chemicals in a line. That's what works for us. I hope this helps you out.

    • @mr.doitall
      @mr.doitall Год назад

      I never use the dual lance for down-streaming. I use it because you can adjust the pressure at the wand and not blast certain surfaces with higher pressure. If I down stream I use my down stream injector with QC and a short gun with a 2 banger on it. One of the nozzles being a m5 twist and the other being a sharp shooter nozzle.

    Try it without the chems. You will still get a fine if EPA decides to come after you, but a little grease isn't as bad as caustic in how much the fine is.

    Hot water is a waste of your business capital, increased maintenance, increased operating costs for diesel, and just not needed. Concrete is a hard sponge. Unless your pressure washer is spraying up from underneath the concrete, you're only polishing a turd.
