They also need a stronger mix of degreaser i think. I've don't test like this with the amount of degreaser and how long, and the little leftover harder buildup will come on with a strong ass mix lol waste chemical, but looks good if you charge em for the chem.
I can tell yall from experience that a hot surface cleaner at the correct temp is untouchable, we never used hot water out of the wand as we strictly used it for blowing debris out of the path we intend to use the surface cleaner on. Also, we used an 8gpm washer with the built in diesel burner so we had no need for a back fill tank. Super dope set up.
Make your own. Purple power from walmart, Instant power liquid drain cleaner (has sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide in it). Dilute up to 10 to 1 with water and you will have a stronger degreaser than anything you can buy from supply stores. Plus about a quarter of the price
It is a real pisser when you spend the money on a hot water system only to have the cold water system do the job a little better and faster. During colder months the hot water system might have the edge.
We have truck mounted carpet cleaning machines that get up to 300 and will only spit out steam . When we do power washing we do turn down the heat to just warm for best results .
@@thebrothersbarn6094 the steam ? Yes it cleans it 100x better then warm /cold water . We don’t clean carpets with out steam unless the residents want it
I feel like hot water only truly comes into play when you have a large area to clean. It doesn't clean...BETTER...but it cleans faster. only more pressure/gpm will clean better.
Is there a reason you were using a pump sprayer for the degreaser rather than through the dual wand? I’m looking into dual wands but not sure if they’re worthwhile over a jrod downstreamer or pump sprayer.
The power washer " hot pressure washer" we rented it so we didn't want toess with the dual wand. As for our system we still use a pump up sprayer for degreaser. They are cheap to us and we don't have to have a lot of chemicals in a line. That's what works for us. I hope this helps you out.
I never use the dual lance for down-streaming. I use it because you can adjust the pressure at the wand and not blast certain surfaces with higher pressure. If I down stream I use my down stream injector with QC and a short gun with a 2 banger on it. One of the nozzles being a m5 twist and the other being a sharp shooter nozzle.
Great music Fam, I’m jumping into this soon as the weather breaks hear in Nj. I have a 3.4 gonna with 4200 psi cold Mitm. Think I stand a chance even though it isn’t 4gpm?
Hey Tony thanks for watching. Yes you can make it work. If you doing dumpster pad get you a good degreaser and let it set for 10 to 15 minutes..depending on the degreaser. If you got questions or anything we will help anyway we can. Best of luck 👍
Try it without the chems. You will still get a fine if EPA decides to come after you, but a little grease isn't as bad as caustic in how much the fine is.
They looked about the same, but I hear the heat will help break away grease better. I’m looking to get into this. What’s ballpark pricing on a job like this?

@@thebrothersbarn6094 You’re welcome,I’m trying to get into dumpster pads n heavy equipment cleaning because home owners not trying to pay my prices they keep trying to make me lower my prices I did on a couple of jobs n that was killing my business,so how do you go about getting commercial properties do you send out emails or do you go to the physical site n sell ur services
Looks like “Boss Man” has never used a surface cleaner lol. he just makes a striped mess for the employee to clean up with the green tip while he just waves the surface cleaner in random motions.
Hot water is a waste of your business capital, increased maintenance, increased operating costs for diesel, and just not needed. Concrete is a hard sponge. Unless your pressure washer is spraying up from underneath the concrete, you're only polishing a turd.
Lol polishing a turd 🤣. I agree unless you are in the business for grease removal and gas stations I feel like cold water ( with chemicals) can make it work. That's for watching!
Not convinced! Chemicals and cold water will do for now!
👍
Enjoy that COPD
Ever try to was greasy hands using soap and cold water vs hot water? Hot makes a huge difference??
Appeared to me cold water with the turbo nozzle cleaned what the steam couldn’t 😂 WINNER COLD!
Those turbos are nice 😁. Thanks for watching

That's awesome. We have changed put setup alot from when this video was made. A 8gmp hot box is really nice to have. Keep on washing brother!
It turned out good. Wish you would have told us what was the degreaser that you put down. I'm having a hard time actually finding a good one
Thanks for watching! We used gold assassin degreaser on this one.

Use a 14 inch cleaner with your pump. 20 inches is too big which causes striping
The 20 inch works really well for us now. Change the tips and it does amazing.
If you guys will slow down while surface cleaning you won’t get that striping that occurs.
The second the surface cleaner started waving around randomly, I could tell this is a $99 guy by the stripes
The problem is he's using a 20 inch cleaner with a 3.2gpm pump he needs to get the 14 inch from harbor freight
It is a real pisser when you spend the money on a hot water system only to have the cold water system do the job a little better and faster. During colder months the hot water system might have the edge.
I agree. With good degreasers a good cold pressure washer can do a lot of the jobs. Thanks for watching!

That sidewalk out where the coke machine is, needs another going over.
Wouldn't hurt.

Hot water for sure helps clean the grease faster/better. GPM the more the better 😃. Thanks for watching!

What pressure/gpm are your hot and cold pressure washers?
The cold pressure washer was at 3.2 and the hot pressure washer was at 3.5.
Thanks for watching!
@@thebrothersbarn6094 how hot were you running?
Surface cleaner is way too big for only a 3.5gpm machine. 5gpm minimum. 8gpm is ideal
I think the major difference is that you'll lose jobs if you don't have hot water because the client may think highly of hot water
Hot water has some advantages for sure. We have stuff in the works 😁

You are right. The heat helps get the grease come up better. It also works faster to clean. Thanks for watching 👀
I think is because cold has more psi power than hot, grease in dumpster is extremely dense
Yes that dumpster was so bad.
I think with right chems you can do most jobs. I think heat is overrated. Requires more too for what it is.
Yes, that is true. Sometimes, heat will help with speed. Thanks for watching!
So satisfying 😌
Thank you!
Whats the GPM?
For the cold or hot box?
@@thebrothersbarn6094 hot
@@kdaltex I believe it was a 3.3 gpm. We rented it at the time of this job.
Great job
Get some rubber boots and slow down on the surface cleaner.
Rubber boots are nice. Did go over any area that needed. Thanks for watching
heat is useful for oil.
Yes that is for sure.

Thanks man we will look at improving this.
Use EBC and you don’t need hot water
Yes that is some good stuff. That is what we was using.
What is EBC?
@Jermaine Grant EBC is a strong degreaser. It helps get oil and grease up without the need for hot water.
To me it’s not about pressure or water temperature of the water at the end of the day it’s the type of chemical you’re using
Temperature and the GPM do help getting stuff cleaned after. Having the right chemicals for each job helps out a lot also. Thanks for watching 👀
