On the brass fiting, you can use solder in the end of it and drill a hole like a meter hole
@@mkgunter Might work.
I’m way overthinking this. If they are both open to 5 that would be a 50/50 mix so wouldn’t that be 50% SH?
If your SH is 12.5 sodium hypochlorite and you mix have and half that will get you about 6%.
do you have a link for the hoses you connect to the soap, sh, and water? thanks

Do these small barbs choke the flow or is that standard practice? In my mind bigger is better but I don’t know what the standard is

That's good 👍
Hello I just found your page on RUclips and I subscribed. I have a trailer that I bought and had plumbed for me last summer I've been in business since 2018 I had a trailer that I batched mixed prior and I used to pull my machines off it was a real pain in the butt . here I see you can build on your own. Amazon has all the parts you need. Watching your video is great and you show me how to do it thank you watching I can see it's a lot cheaper to build your own that way and plus I'd like to learn how to do it myself rather than buying one. I also just bought a 40 gallon tank extra for an ATV which I'm going to use as my mixing tank the water will go into that one rather than the other 30 gallon tank that he already had hooked up right now my trailer is down because I am replying my soft wash and my second pressure cleaner that I have. It's just been sitting there and I don't even use it and I'm worried that it might seize up I put detergents in it and started up once in awhile so I should be okay. 12-volt pump finally went I decided to go with a fat boy remco 7 gal per minute 100 PSI. I know that sucker will definitely pull from anything. I really want to do away with the system that this guy built for me. I don't like it I want to do the proportioner that everybody has and do it that way cuz I can measure how much I'm putting in and understand it because all I have is just regular knobs I'm going to show you a photo of what I got set up and how I'm working on it now like right now I'm down I'm dead in the water I can't even take a job on right now till I get this done it's taking me forever it's so hot outside and I'm pissing me off luckily I'm slow right now. I want to know what to order on Amazon to make your exact proportional valve cuz that's exactly like the one they sell at the store up the street they want almost $200 for. Thank you for your video and if you could get back with me I'd appreciate it with those parts that you're ordering before I ordered the wrong parts. I'm already got stuff in my car but I have a feeling it's going to be the wrong stuff. And then I have to return it and take longer to do this . If you know the parts that I need a names or numbers or whatever from Amazon please let me know thank you very much and get back with me as soon as you can and here's a picture 2:59 it won't let me take a picture they're just regular valves PVC nothing with annoying what mixture I'm putting in.
I'm not sure if any of those videos went through it's not letting me actually upload a whole video I don't know why but sorry about that I hope you understand

I'm out working on the job now so if I missed something please let me know. Keep me posted on how your build is going. Also yes a 7gmp is must better 😁
I have a 5/8 hose reel will this work
Nice. We been using 1/2 and it been working and lighter to move around lol.
Proportioner chart that works for this?
Yes there is one. I will get it out for you. Should have posted today or tomorrow.
You're a Real G, Thank you for the links and the instructional!
You're welcome. Glad it helped.
What size (gauge) extension cord are you using?
Not big enough. We need to get a bigger extension cord for sure.
Very informative thanks!
Thank you!
How do you know the strength of your mix with this? Thanks in advance
Do you need the dialer valve for the water? Isn't it always wide open?
You would think you shouldn't. We have tried without one and if you don't use one than your % will be way off. This is because there would be No restriction for the water, but a restriction for your soap and SH.
Hey I hope you can help me whit this I got a diaphragm pump 1025 psi the manifold that you build do you think can work.??
I will have to double check but I think these fittings are max at 300 psi.
What gpm/psi machine are you using? Great video
We started with a 5.5gpm than moved to a 7gpm.
Thanks so much for this. I am going to buy all of this and add it to the new rig I am building for 2024.
Glad to hear it helped. Good luck with your new build.
I’m building in 2024 also, looking to break into the industry in my area! Good luck boys
@@hurdleguy8014 Happy building and good luck.
We bought the exact Pentair Valves. The ones we purchased do not allow 100% flow when on setting 5. We tested them against a regular 1/2 ball valve. The valves restrict the flow. I believe it is a design flaw. When you don't get 100% flow on water the 12 volt pump will sputter and your working pressure is greatly diminished. Did you test your valves before you built your proportioner ?
We did not test before built. I will say it worked fine for until they got a Crack in them.
I actually just last week spoke with the a rep for Pentair and told him what my test found. He confirmed that is how they are designed since they are designed for regulating chlorine in the swimming pool industry. That they will always restrict the flow even at full setting 5. We are building our new ones with the more expensive GF 1/2 inch Valve. And yea I have read reviews on Amazon that they crack and leak easily. Thanks Jeff
Do you pull straight sh or dilute with water
The mixer will dilute depending on the % of SH we want. Each vavle is hooked up to one of - Water - SH - Soap None are diluted.
How much sh was used and what was the gun and tip used for pre wash wash
We used about 5 gallons on this fence.
can you link to this part also? ~~~~~ You will need to buy a ¼ female to a ½ male fitting to make this work~~~~~~
Great video. Where can I buy the parts from?
Thank you! Most of these parts can be bought from Amazon. I will try to put a list together in a video.
Thanks my brother
Damn fantastic video thanks for helping out
Glad I could help out.
Great contraption you concocted to show an easy solution
Thank you!
Well, you just saved me $400. Thanks.
Glad I could help.
Couldn’t you just use a regular inexpensive ball valve PVC on your water as well as your surfactant? And of course on the SH is a good valve. What’s your thoughts?
I don't think a ball valve will get you the rate ratios. When you are turning those on and off it's really hard to say if you are at the half point or not. I will say we tried using a ball valve on our water only one time and the mixer was pulling more water than SH due to less restriction.
@@thebrothersbarn6094 I understand. I know the SH destroys pretty much everything. What do you think of the less expensive valves? I would use them for the surfactant and the water and the more expensive valve on the SH. What’s your thoughts? Thanks
@@nicholashalvis5376 The flow rate would be off still. I will put a video together to help show my understanding on this.
Currently ordering the parts, If I wanted to not have a soap valve can i just use a three way "T" instead of the 4 way?
A 3 way T should work out fine. I have not tried that one before let me know how it works out.
It turned out good. Wish you would have told us what was the degreaser that you put down. I'm having a hard time actually finding a good one
Thanks for watching! We used gold assassin degreaser on this one.
Make your own. Purple power from walmart, Instant power liquid drain cleaner (has sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide in it). Dilute up to 10 to 1 with water and you will have a stronger degreaser than anything you can buy from supply stores. Plus about a quarter of the price
Can you please source and specify all of the fittings and plumbing? Thanks
Pretty much equal
Not a lot of difference.
How do you like the Hayward valves ?
They have been doing good. Let's see how they handled after winter time.
What was the purpose of this video
🤔
Will this Proportioner work with a 7gpm pump
Yes it will work. We started with the 5gpm and moved up to the 7gpm. We like the 7gpm over the 5gpm also.
@@thebrothersbarn6094 thank you so muchs buddy , I was kind of worried because I have a 7gpm pump but someone tell me that the 1/2 proportioner will not work with that pump
Thanks for the Vid! Was looking to build one!
You're welcome. Hope it helps you on your build.
This video saved me about $800 thank you!
I'm glad we were able to help you out. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for watching!
Great job guys, almost as cool as that Top’s soft wash guy. lol
🤣
How long does 100 gallons last?
It depends on how big an area and temp you keeping it at. We fill up maybe two to maybe three times a year.
I'm running the same but a 20,000 btu. I've left mine running for 3 days straight on low with it cycling heating a 400sqft garage. Constant 60° with below freezing Temps. You'll get around 107 hrs of burn time or about 4-4 1/2 days
@joshhosner7632 I been keeping the garage about 60 degrees low heat like 1.5 on the diel. The 100 gallon lasted about a month with average Temps outside being around 32.
@thebrothersbarn6094 Temps here have been anywhere from -5° to 19° highs
NIce video! Wondering how the 5.5 Held up for you guys a year later. Im new to the game and looking at this same machine so a follow up 1 year later would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks for watching. I will get an updated video for you.
How much ball park can I expect to pay starting off ? Thanks
Probably going to be around 1.5k a year.
Great video! What do you mean by "1 pack will do only need 2" at the joytube plastic hose barb fittings? Isn't it enough to just buy 2 of the Parker Hannifin? Thanks in advance
I think having 3 work better with the ratio.
Code here says it has to be a yellow plastic coated copper pipe not plain copper , and orange coated coper for heating oil. Otherwise than that I think you guys did a great Job
Code where I'm at just needs to be a copper pipe. Good information that everyone should check out before installing. Thank you!
good work
Thank you!
I think with right chems you can do most jobs. I think heat is overrated. Requires more too for what it is.
Yes, that is true. Sometimes, heat will help with speed. Thanks for watching!
Hey man just wondering if youve noticed using these specific valves that you can go like a another full turn passed the 5? I just set one of these up an i turned the thing thinking it would stop at 5 an to my surprise it didnt! I could go all the around an back to 5 again. It seems like the valves actually open up more that way too which in my eyes could throw everything off big time. Should i just inform my clients to make sure they stop on the 5 an not give it an extra full spin to 5 lol? Anyways appreciate the content an good source for future clients to reference when getting their precenrages dialed up.
The valves I used in the video did stop at 5. I had to order new ones and I noticed they didn't stop at 5 either. Yes I would make sure to stop it at 5 ( water ) SH and Soap ( much less unless doing roof washing ) so you don't mess with the ratio. Glad the video helped out and thanks for watching.
Your video is very dark far as the footage you should get a ring light for your phone or whatever you’re recording with so as viewers that support your page can you see better Contant
Thanks man we will look at improving this.
nice video. Are the control valves the same as Pentair Automatic Feeders fit for Model 300-29X Model 320 Model 322?? Will be grateful to have the answer
No I don't think so. This are control valves used mainly for pools.
