Very fitting to put at the end of the song)

Yeah ngl the ending felt rushed and didn't make much sense, twelve gets shot by the US MILITARY for no reason when he was about to be arrested by a Japanese cop, then nine had the perfect chance to give us a bittersweet end by detonating the bomb, instead he doesn't and just dies somehow.
@@LukesOffline remember how that one guy said that the kids who survived the experiments didn't have much time left to live? well that's how he died. But the whole thing about the US military shooting 12 made me really mad!! there was no reason for them to do that.

SPOILER!! love how symbolic this opening is, from art to music. first of all, they mention w, and the melody of the op is made of mainly non functional harmony, which could reference the savantism of twelve, nine and five. also, “winter will cover everything”? i think after episode ten we realised just what ‘winter’ they meant. truly an amazing anime. surprised it’s not as popular as others.
tanki motoko I love both Abnormalize(Psycho-Pass theme) and Unravel(Tokyo Ghoul theme) though Unravel is played only by TK from Ling Tosite sigure while Abnormalize is played by the band Ling Tosite Sigure. Also this Theme "Trigger" is really good like the Aforementioned ones.
Hopefully this’ll put a smile on the OG fans: It’s currently 2021, and I found out about this anime a couple of months ago. I haven’t started it yet, but it’s the next anime on my list, so I’ll probably start it very soon, maybe already in a few days. I know I’m just one person, but hey, at least it’s good that this series hasn’t been forgotten completely, right? Might update this comment later when I start watching. Edit: I watched the first episode and I can already tell this’ll be one of my favorite animes O.O Edit 2: Just finished episode 7, and omg I love this🤭 How is it so good? It’s honestly such a good feeling when you find an underrated, “hidden” anime that no one talks about, and it turns out to be awesome. But there are only 4 more episodes to go... bruh, I don’t want this to end ;-; Edit 3: ...welp, I finished it... I don’t know what to say, I’m still crying... but um, looks like I have a new favorite anime... and depression, heh...
Glad to know you enjoyed it. It's been years and Zankyou no Terror still manages to stay as my favourite anime of all time. To this day, I still can't quite figure out or explain why I adore this short and underrated anime so much but it always speaks to me dearly with no fail and reading other people's experiences with the story has always put a smile on my face, reminding me that I'm not the only one to feel this way.
@@key-chan5563 I know, right? I don’t think I’ve seen a single ‘bad’ comment about this anime. I mean sure, there must be some people in the world who dislike it, but they’re so hard to find, as most people praise Zankyou no Terror. I’ve even encountered some who say it’s a masterpiece. I’m sure that if you dig deep enough, you can find something to criticize, but aren’t all anime’s like that? I don’t think there’ll ever exist a ‘perfect’ anime that’s flawless. There’s always room for improvement. But Zankyou no Terror is definitely... I don’t know how to describe it, but ‘amazing’ is an understatement. Yeah, like you said, it’s so hard to explain why it’s so good! Definitely my top favorite anime at the moment, and it’ll probably stay that way for a long time.
WHY IS MAPPA AN UNDERATED STUDIO! Mappa creates such wonderful animes such as shingeki no bahamut, terror in resonance, and not to mention the upcoming anime series punchline (yeah, punchline is totally Sword art onlines 3rd season) Mappa is amazing! People should pay attention to it more often
It's partially because they haven't really done many shows. They're quickly gaining recognition with their fantastic work, though. Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis would not have been as enjoyable as it was without them.

this is a bad idea to watch after clannad, anohana, and your lie in April, maybe angel beats. I did this when I first watched anime that was 3 years ago and I'm mentally and physically broken. WHY DID NINE HAVE TO DIE?!!!
I read the comment thinking why you we shouldn’t watch other sad anime first.. SPOILED! SPOILED! I FINISHED IT TODAY BUT UGH PUT A SPOILER WARNING NEXT TIME! By the way, how exactly did Nine die?
It's been 9 years already 💔 and whenever I watch this editorial, I remember the beautiful days. Some people may think that my words are a bit silly, but I really want to cry 💔
TheDrumlineChik Why would they be stealing plutonium in the first episode then? The description of the show says they want to "pull the trigger on this world" and what better way to do it than to start a nuclear war?
I'd agree. The song is called trigger. He pulls the last trigger. The winter covers everything. The winter is referring to the white haze people believe that they see before passing away.
The show is so underrated I've litterally shared this show to all my friends and no one hates it.. it's really just the perfect amount of funny and sad. The show actually has quite a few metaphors for life and watching the whole mystery and bombings go down is really fun to watch( in the sense that u have to think about the riddles)

I always randomly get the urge to listen to this op a few times a year. I always get sad when im done cuz i remember the endinf and how bittersweet but realistic it was
This Opening theme is beautiful,Yuuki Ozaki's voice sounds so sad & nostalgic but grateful. The Lyrics are poetry: "From when I was born, until I die I'll ask what you want to do, Because your smile is like that of an angel" Is the most beautiful string of words I've ever heard
These are the type of animes I like. Underground, not well known but is very good. That’s why I stick with anime from 2001-2015 because I grew up on those times. The newer ones now are kinda lame and doesn’t give me that feeling that gets me grasped on to the show. Anime like this (Terror in Resonance) gives me that grasp, especially with the opening theme. And personally, anime back in the years I mentioned are the absolute best and at its peak. But, that’s just me.
i totally agree with you. This anime really made me feel something i really felt like the characters were real unlike characters from now that are just over powered and actually no feelings
This opening reminds me of my ancient childhood memories. A dark but nice feeling of my first memories and how I felt about the world back then, something weird about this opening triggers a certain feeling and memories for everyone's nostalgia and childhood.
@@SS-sg4eg I'd like to take a gander. One prominent thing I notice is the shading and coloring. I'm no color expert, but it seems hazy, dreamy, and has a bloom effect which gives it that nostalgic feeling. The low saturation in relation with the contrasting color grading gives it a mature feeling, which would make it feel a bit 'dark.' And of course the song itself, the lyrics contribute a lot but I'd also like to look at the tonality. The way the Ozaki sings seems grateful, somber, and even mourning a bit. One word that popped up when I first heard this song was that it sounds a bit like a eulogy, and given the context that both characters die, it's fitting.
I remember the first time I saw this anime, it was one night when I was traveling to see my family. I remember how I cried on the bus, it was dawn and everyone was asleep, we were already arriving. I was really feeling very nostalgic. This anime is still my favorite, there are no words that describe how much feeling it causes you.
I have watched this anime like 4 years ago, i love it so incredibly much, i recommend it to literally every person i meet. It's a pure masterpiece, and it's the only anime i know of which is suitable for absolutely everyone, because it isn't that anime like (e.g. colourful hair, cliché anime girl romance thing etc), but still has an interesting storyline, so even non-anime-fans can easily enjoy it. Twelve has a very special place in my heart, as well as this anime and the whole soundtrack. Now this video got recommend to me by RUclips and this is the first time i've actually paid close attention to the translation, and i am once again crying. This is utter perfection.
I finished Terror in Resonance yesterday on November 18, 2021, and that last episode of the show was very beautiful. It was worth watching Nine and Twelve's little story. And this opening was very sensational and lovely.
Composer/arranger: Yoko Kanno Lyrics/Performed by: Yuuki Ozaki. Producers: Hiroaki Sano and Etsuko Chiba What a team! Arrangement, voice, everything is perfect. The ones who made this are just fabulous genius! this song is incredible masterpiece. Its just sublime, its pure. It makes my heart love the world and it matches the story so well. Omg... i wan't to cry. Thank you. just thank you so much for this. This Anime inspired me in so many good ways. so much love from Brazil :D

(Sphinx carrying out their plan at the end)
"After that winter will come, and snow will cover everything"
(Reference to "nuclear winter", hence the nuke at the end of series. Very fitting to put at the end of the song)

I was skeptical about a show on terrorists but holy shit this show is a hidden gem
rightt
*“remember us… remember that we lived…”*
i just finished this show and i think it’s a hidden masterpiece… this show will always have a special place in my heart… T^T
literally same
the ending broke me- WHY MUST NINE AND TWELVE GO LIKE THAT WTF
I was gasping for air and crying like a damn baby 😭😭😭
SAME I THINK IM MENTALLY BROKEN
Yeah ngl the ending felt rushed and didn't make much sense, twelve gets shot by the US MILITARY for no reason when he was about to be arrested by a Japanese cop, then nine had the perfect chance to give us a bittersweet end by detonating the bomb, instead he doesn't and just dies somehow.
@@LukesOffline remember how that one guy said that the kids who survived the experiments didn't have much time left to live? well that's how he died. But the whole thing about the US military shooting 12 made me really mad!! there was no reason for them to do that.
@@ariannalee7330 Yeah but even if you realize the fact that 11 died RIGHT AFTER 12 died it just feels like emotion baiting and felt like they didn't put any effort in.
I feel proud that i watched this anime and still remember it, same with 91 days, both are great but so damn underrated.

love how symbolic this opening is, from art to music. first of all, they mention w, and the melody of the op is made of mainly non functional harmony, which could reference the savantism of twelve, nine and five. also, “winter will cover everything”? i think after episode ten we realised just what ‘winter’ they meant. truly an amazing anime. surprised it’s not as popular as others.
This anime is a masterpiece, it was one of the first I‘ve watched. 💕🥲
Irvin Menezes non fonctional but so powerful
The first opening of Psycho-Pass and this opening is so graphically pleasing. ^_^
I like the second opening of Psycho-Pass, better. :/
jr4chargers I agree though I like the band who made the first opening's song for tokyo ghoul
tanki motoko Same band who sang for Psycho-Pass right?
DoodleDomination yeah, I didn't like their song for psycho pass but loved the one for tokyo ghoul
tanki motoko I love both Abnormalize(Psycho-Pass theme) and Unravel(Tokyo Ghoul theme) though Unravel is played only by TK from Ling Tosite sigure while Abnormalize is played by the band Ling Tosite Sigure.

Edit: I watched the first episode and I can already tell this’ll be one of my favorite animes O.O
Edit 2: Just finished episode 7, and omg I love this🤭
How is it so good?
It’s honestly such a good feeling when you find an underrated, “hidden” anime that no one talks about, and it turns out to be awesome.
But there are only 4 more episodes to go... bruh, I don’t want this to end ;-;
Edit 3: ...welp, I finished it... I don’t know what to say, I’m still crying... but um, looks like I have a new favorite anime... and depression, heh...
Hi and welcome to depression

Mappa creates such wonderful animes such as shingeki no bahamut, terror in resonance, and not to mention the upcoming anime series punchline (yeah, punchline is totally Sword art onlines 3rd season)
Mappa is amazing! People should pay attention to it more often
oy, Sakamichi no Apollon as well :D
It's partially because they haven't really done many shows. They're quickly gaining recognition with their fantastic work, though. Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis would not have been as enjoyable as it was without them.
Touka Ackerman from starbucks I enjoy Punchline way more than SAO though hahah
They are actually getting more attention now
couldn't really get into Punchline, though I will get back to that another time
Kind of sucks that Mappa wasn’t well known anime studio around this time, imagine if this anime released, I bet it will get more appreciated since Mappa animated this

And we already know it for AOT.
Are you sure about aot now that chapter 139 has come out
@@godzillafanking7508 Yess, I am. One poor chapter doesn't mean that entire series is trash. Yess it wasn't the best but certainly it is not the worst. That content from 1-138 was an experience unmatchable. You may not like that , but I think it was a decent end.
Let's hope that this thread doesn't turn out into a war just like other threads turn out.

this is a bad idea to watch after clannad, anohana, and your lie in April, maybe angel beats. I did this when I first watched anime that was 3 years ago and I'm mentally and physically broken. WHY DID NINE HAVE TO DIE?!!!

"Winter covers everything"? Could they be referring to nuclear winter? Just a guess.
Id say the life in the summer ends in the winter. Or the story ends in the winter.
I think winter is just a metaphor for death in general.
TheDrumlineChik It could also be comparing snow to ash, from a collapsing building. Over the course of the series winter will cover everything.

Krul Tepes I am proud.
This opening's vibe is so different from many other openings I've heard. Its very interesting.
This Opening theme is beautiful,Yuuki Ozaki's voice sounds so sad & nostalgic but grateful.
The Lyrics are poetry:
"From when I was born,until I die
I'll ask what you want to do,
Because your smile is like that of an angel"
Is the most beautiful string of words I've ever heard
Se passou 10 anos, mas nunca vou esquecer desse anime. a Ending é maravilhosa também
This anime really made me feel something i really felt
like the characters were real unlike characters from now that are just over powered and actually no feelings

Hawt damn it's eerily similar to how I feel as well. You've managed to capture the feeling very well in words!
@@dannypants0000 what fascinates me is that a lot of people feel the same way about it, I really want to know an explanation.
me too, how is it possible this song triggers the same kind of memories for so many people
@@SS-sg4eg I'd like to take a gander.
One prominent thing I notice is the shading and coloring. I'm no color expert, but it seems hazy, dreamy, and has a bloom effect which gives it that nostalgic feeling. The low saturation in relation with the contrasting color grading gives it a mature feeling, which would make it feel a bit 'dark.'
And of course the song itself, the lyrics contribute a lot but I'd also like to look at the tonality. The way the Ozaki sings seems grateful, somber, and even mourning a bit. One word that popped up when I first heard this song was that it sounds a bit like a eulogy, and given the context that both characters die, it's fitting.
Coming back to this amazing anime. This song peeks nostalgia
Crazy how underrated this show its so short yet so emotional and well done.
From 0:00 to 0:23 there is rise in tone and from at 0:23 there is a drop in the tone and it is so cool, refreshing..I just love this masterpiece
