- Recently we came across this beautiful Lamborghini 400 GT Jarama S 1973 at The Gallery in Brummen, The Netherlands. We took the car for a little spin! We love to hear your comments on our videos. Feel free to leave one!

This example comes from third owner with only 61000 km original. There were 328 Jarama's built of which only 152 original S. The S version features the famous 365 BHP V12 engine. It is a European version with air conditioning, five speed gearbox. The car has matching numbers.
Lamborghini Jarama is a sports coupé which was built by Lamborghini between 1970 and 1976. It was designed by Bertone designer Marcello Gandini. Ferruccio Lamborghini was concerned the car would be thought to be named after the Jarama racing circuit near Madrid, while he meant the car to be named for the Jarama bullfighting region in Spain. In this way it carries a special double meaning.
In 1970, Lamborghini had to redesign the Islero to meet new United States safety and emissions regulations. So instead of just redesigning the Islero Lamborghini made the Jarama, a mark 2 Islero. Lamborghini made the Jarama with a shorter chassis to meet U.S. standards. The Jarama's chassis was shortened only by 10.7 inches. The Jarama was now built on a shortened version of the same platform as the Espada. Even though the Jarama was heavier than the Islero, it had the same top speed. Two different models were made, the original GT (1970--1973) model having 350 bhp (260 kW) V12, and the GTS (also known as Jarama S) (1973--1976) with its output upped to 365 bhp (272 kW). Also, with the GTS there were a few minor body modifications and power assisted steering, removable roof panels, and an automatic transmission became available as options. A total of 328 Jaramas were built.
Ferruccio Lamborghini's personal Jarama GTS is on display at the official Lamborghini museum.
It is easy to confuse the Iso Lele and the Lamborghini Jarama as their external design is largely the same, as both were designed by Marcello Gandini. Авто/Мото
These old 1970s Lamborghini V12s sound better then any modern car and I will fight to the grave with that argument.
Phantastic car with unique and clear "Bauhaus-" design without any frills. With few modest changes it could still exist today like a timeless monument of car design.
Absolutely sunning automobile. The Jarama was essentially a short wheel based Espada. Loved both of them.
What a beauty! 🥰🥰🥰 I remember playing "super trumps" as a boy back in the 70s, and the Jarama was always one of my favourites...even back then aged 9 I loved the lines of it 😊😊😊
Magnificent. This is what a car should look and sound like.
Goodmovie!verybeautiful!Nicecar❤
and thhe (fantastic) sound? - the best of this car..
I really appreciate your upload of this rather interesting great soundtrack for an engine
My dad had a 1968 400 GT which he loved. Got to drive it a few times up to the vintage races at Laguna Seca. Great cars. I always liked the Jarama. Love the early GT cars. Thanks for the ride. .
No problem. Thank YOU for the nice story. Lots of 400GT videos on this channel BTW. Enjoy ;-)!
2 of my fav LAMBO V12s ever are the ISLERO/JARAMA. Nuff said!!!
Lindo! Muito lindo.
Arte Cinematica Italiana del XX° secolo .... Lamborghini JARAMA, created by Dott. Ing. STANZANI, one of these masterpieces
Good car
pretty cool 👌👌👍👍
Great! Thanx! @ ;-)
I just watched a video of Doug Demuro driving the Lamborghini Jarama and the dashboard of that car was completely different from this one....
That was a former edition of the car.
The one being tested in this video is a 2nd
series Jarama which underwent several tech. improvements yet keeping the same bodyshell
( let apart a few cosmetics).
This is an S (or GTS, if you're one of those people). His was a normal one (or GT if you're one of those people).
Lovely car. I have no idea how it is to drive.
The interior looks like a military SUV, LOL.
I prefer Espada but Jarama is an other Italian GT with a no classic italian design, but the engine and interiors are 1000 per cent made in Italy
the headlights are clearly inspired by the alfa romeo montreal
That's because Bertone designed them around the same time.
designed by the same guy, marcello gandini at bertone
That’s the bit I dislike the most, looks half finished to me.
Sean Hallissey. It would great 2 C the GIOTTO BIZZARRINI V12 return again for 20/20 & BEYOND!!!!
That is the meanest looking front. The car looks like has eyes looking madly under the half closed eyelids
Jarama is the name of one race circuit on Madrid spain
Imagine if this car not branded with Lamborghini.

Not really, it's a Spanish word (its a race track)
@@enriquepastor3626 its a latin word...
Italians pronounce it Yarama
same for Yalpa
looks like a ferrari 400i
GOODY GUY Really? :-)
This is seriously ugly, Ferruccio Bertone had a shot of luck with the Miura, which BTW was materially designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro who later left Bertone and found Giugiaro Design, but the car designs by Bertone are almost all seriously ugly...in other vehicular design they are ok (trains, trucks and other stuff) but the cars suck.
Look up the FIAT X1/9...
stfu stupid
#ClaudeMagicbox You are totally wrong, the Miura was materially designed by Marcello Gandini not Giorgietto Giugiaro that came into Bertone design almost 20 years later. Marcello Gandini is one of the greatest italian car designer, thanks to him we had the Miura, the Espada, the Countach and the Stratos among all.
tutto sbagliato ciò che hai scritto!!!!!
I find this car really beautiful haha
