  • The Shopbot PRSAlpha 96-48 is a large-format three-axis CNC machine capable of carving full sheets of plywood, MDF, non-composite plastics, and almost anything softer than aluminum. This video, produced by UC Berkeley's Jacobs Institute Makerspace staff, will serve as a potion of our hands-on training module, and also as a persistent resource as you learn to use the machine. Finally, we cover remote access of the Shopbot, and detail the process by which Jacobs Project Support users can submit parts for remote fabrication.
