Street Food in New York - Italian Panini

- While monitoring the filmworthiness of a Pizza place in Manhattan, I stumbled across an Italian street food joint that I filmed a few years ago in Florence: All'antico Vinaio, which had opened the same week in New York's 8th Avenue.
I love when Italians greet each other by saying “oooh!”
But this is not a usual greeting. It is more, let's say, so a greeting of surprise, of seeing perhaps a well-known person, a friend, that one perhaps at that time did not expect to see (as in this case 9:50). Otherwise there is the classic "Ciao".
I think I died and went to heaven! I could almost cry watching this video. To me this is art! Thank you.
The original store in Florence had the best sandwich that I've ever had. I'm so glad that it's branching out to the US!
Are they still making their own bread ?
Now that's what I call excellent fast food. I could already see myself eating there everyday if I lived near by.

I've lived here NYC my whole life, and I would know not to ask for mayo on these Italian sandwiches... don't hate on Americans like we're the only ones in the world who don't know how other cultures do things, that's bias I would never say a whole country of MILLIONS of different people are all the same way, that's very illogical way to think.... that sounds like someone who moved to America, and thinks it's a typical American deli. He sounds as foreign as the All'antico Vinaio guys.
i can hear a southern italian accent in this guy...but i love hearing the perfect pronunciation of italian food names...i want to tell you a little secret...the tuscan ham is not the one in the video...i'm a chef and I was born and raised in Tuscany and I can guarantee that real Tuscan ham is something else (these guys make their food with true love and true passion that we only have in italy)
This is incredible. I live in Poland and I've never seen sandwiches as big as these. Everything is so huge and genereous. Just wow.

I saw this playing on the TV at an Italian restaurant and it was mesmerizing. So glad I found it.

the original one in Florence has a wine bar in the back of the shop that runs on the honor system. Also one of the best sandwiches i've ever had.

Italians probably invented the sandwich! That bread looks amazing & every sandwich is prepared with love, Italian style! ❤
Delicious ingredients that come straight from Italy and things that are sliced fresh at the moment. There is nothing better than freshly sliced Prosciutto, Mortadella, etc. That special bread, which in Tuscany is called “Schiacciata” (a special type of Focaccia that they make only in Tuscany) when they cut it is still steaming hot. 😋 I think that once someone has tasted all those sandwiches, they will hardly set a foot in a McDonald's again.

I believe that once you taste those sandwiches, with that typical special Tuscan bread and with those extraordinary ingredients and specialties that come directly from Italy, you will hardly ever set a foot in a McDonald's again.

That bread is still steaming when they cut it. A delicious bread! A typical Tuscan Focaccia called “Schiacciata”. A type of Focaccia that they only make in Tuscany. Greetings from Italy ! 🇮🇹👋🤗

That's not a bread, that's a focaccia, more similar to a pizza without any topping. Focaccia is very used in central italy.

Look for "schiacciata" or "focaccia" recipes, it's super easy and delicious.
@@nostrodelaantares8416thanks, ive tried a few but never seem to come out as nice as those. i make my own version of a focacia for my customers atm , but always trying new methods
@@intheframemedia Keep experimenting with the recipes, maybe you will end up making your own version of focaccia that will be an absolute success with your customers!
When I made schiacciate for the restaurant I worked for my first batches weren't perfect. Good luck!

@@MIkkk86 I am going to make this myself....I bake a lot of breads, so that part is no problem...i can make the cheese spread and the pistachio spread and I just received my seeds of Rugula.......I think I can find a meat close to the mortadella.
