  • National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum, in New Delhi, India, commonly known as National Crafts Museum is one of the largest crafts museums in India. It contains artefacts from various regions of the country including folk art like Madhubani paintings and tribal collections like Kondh bronze and Dokhra metal casts featuring ancient lost wax techniques, textiles like various silks, muslins and brocades and wooden chariots and a gallery of village crafts and architecture. It also has a unique Bhoota Cult gallery belonging to ancestor worship of the coastal Tulunadu region of Karnataka. There is also a crafts demonstration area where visitors can see how artisans work and buy items directly from them. Other interesting displays include pigeon houses made of wood and metal and a rare wooden marriage pillar from Gujarat.
