I think mice are rather nice; Their tails are long, their faces small; They haven’t any chins at all. Their ears are pink, their teeth are white, They run about the house at night; They nibble things they shouldn’t touch, and no one seems to like them much, but I think mice are nice! (by Rose Fyleman)
Yes, cats are a good help for the mice problem in the house if they are trained properly. Outside the house they can create their own problems if they prey on wildlife. Australian wildlife is not well adapted to cats. I like your hawk videos. I hope you can get back more often to see your baby hawks grow up.
"Australian Macadamia Nuts Are The Best" - I totally agree! I miss Australia and the sounds. Those Australian Crows are somehow fascinating with their eyes. Also, it was fascinating to read in an article that they learned to pick the cane toads.
The crow was sure happy for a nice snack! We love macadamia nuts- I’ve never had fresh ones to crack open though- we get them in a can- yours look so fresh, very delicious and I’m sure they’re the best! 👌 Nice mouse trap!! 😁👍👍
Thanks for your good comments. Your macadamia nuts probably come from Hawaii. Australia is the original home of macadamia nuts and the first nut trees were grown in Hawaii in 1881.
Great movie, good job, thanks for sharing. I really like watching new and interesting places. You have an interesting channel, so I'm staying and watching. Big like, stay connected. I’m a new subscriber
Thank you very much. It's good to see different places around the world. Can you get macadamia nuts in Poland? Your country is very beautiful and a lot cooler than where I live. It is midwinter here and today everyone had short sleeves.
If too much mice become a problem that trap is very quickly lethal. Compared with it, cats are torturers. Some mice in our garden are no problem so far; however, if they enter our greenhouse - where I don't like them - our large pitcher plants are waiting. During the last years the Nepenthes captured four House mice and digested them. Last but not least, I love Macadamia nuts 🙂.
@@MoreliaAustralia Due to the reduced surface tension, they drown very quickly. There is of course a video about it from us (if links are allowed here): ruclips.net/video/w_A2DThqzbs/видео.html
Thanks for the link. That is a great video and you have wonderful pitcher plants. I like your reaction when you removed mouse #3 from the pitcher and I am glad I couldn't smell them.
The nuts look so delicious and the cracker is solid, I think no problem with cracking those 😉😉 I love the way you're telling your stories!!!! This one is sad and happy, just like life.
I love macadamias, we had a tree in our yard for a while, we ate those nuts every day and they’re so expensive to buy. We have a lot of rodents around atm. The crow enjoyed that meal.
Barn owls are fantastic at controlling rats and mice. When they are feeding five hungry young in their nest they go through an incredible number of rodents each night. A barn owl nest box is a lot bigger than a normal nest box and it might be something you could add to your to do list in your busy life. I have a barn owl nest box video that you might like to see one day and it might be a guide for you if you would like to make a nest box. We had a lot of rats and mice here on our macadamia farm and after I made the nest box it is so satisfying to see and hear the owls and watch them feeding rats too their young.
The Australian macadamia nuts looks good. Next time ill visit my sister in Brisbane, ill ask her where to buy it. Thank you sir for sharing this wonderful episode of Australian macadamia nut. 🙏☺️🌻
That's good if you can come to Australia and visit your sister again. Have you been to the Brisbane Botanic Gardens? In the Brisbane Botanic Gardens there is a big old Macadamia tree that was planted in 1858.
That's good you planted a macadamia. Is it a seedling or a grafted variety? Macadamias originally came from the east of Australia where I live and now they are grown in many countries around the world. There are a lot of macadamia plantations in South Africa. Do you see plantations near where you live?
The crow didn't leave much behind. When word gets out about your restaurant you will be so busy setting traps and serving meals you won't have time to tend to your macedemias🤔
Wow! Fair dinkum legit bait for mouse. The crow knows the food is there, I really like it when it screams away when the mouse was caught. The crow says yay! gotcha. Lucky crow got some protein. Thanks for sharing this video
Squirrels are so bad here, densely populated, i had a dead one in my front yard one time few years ago! A BIG Hawk came and carried that squirrel away!!
The hawk did a good job unless you wanted the dead squirrel for your compost. I put dead farm animals in my compost and I live near a highway and put roadkill in too.
I had never seen a similar trap, it looks like an oximeter, with this you made a crow friend (and perhaps some animal rights activist as an enemy). As always, you created an exceptional video.Have a nice weekend

As fresh as you can get with the fresh crack Macadamia nuts. Those tiny trap are handy to get rid of mice in and around the house.
Yes. We love the Macadamia nuts. We use the traps in the house but outside we have lots of owls and snakes that help us keep the rodent numbers down.
A very creative story on solving your mouse problem. Cats are helpful too.

So true. Outside or feral cats kill billions of birds but inside they can be an asset if possible. Good luck!
Thank you.

Macadamia nuts, love it.❣❣❣
