Listen everyone, this plug in changed my mixing and not only kept me away from going back to make fixes but I make music at a faster pace cuz of it….through a few trials of just seeing what it does first it will ensure that your mids highs and lows are all at the proper levels….but you can’t just boost a hi sound or a low sound or a mid sound to satisfy what it wants from you….it has to be the correct one….it has also made the loudness of my music (Mastered in my bedroom studio) go from -11 LUFs no distortion to my most recent being -6.4 LUFs no distortion….im not quite sure some people realize how great that is….thats easily industry standard and among the loudest perceived out there in my genre. This plug in is amazing!! Put it on your mix bus or master chain and pretend it ain’t there and mix away!!!
I’ve now read that according to Jaycen that the high end parameter is almost never hit. It’s more a warning that you’re too hot if it goes over that parameter. So, as long as the green bar is not going over it, you should be ok. I think this is confusing and I hope they change it in the update.
I stick a neutral Avalon EQ by Kazrog ahead of the God Particle to get those high ends, increase volume, and even add a little more compression. I find that combo makes up for the frustrating lack of air issues of the God Particle.
@@mixedbyjocelin Just the compression on the Avalon, I use the "Mastering - GP Tube Colour" preset, and often just tweak the compression knob from 5 to 6 - adds a little glue I have found. This preset is flat, so if you need more high end (which that Avalon is insane for) - I start there and get The God Particle just touching those target squares. Then I tweak as needed on the God Particle itself. Cradle really needs to make hitting those targets easier for the high end - it's badly designed - I haven't even found a video where Jaycen is hitting that first target, LOL. Or am I missing something?
Great vid. I suspect it's just 3 bands, and compresses, widens, saturates, maximises (clipping + limiting), with definitely some upward compression like OTT. And the input driving the whole volume into the processing, and then the low, mid and high knobs giving you volume control into the processing for the individual 3 bands. Could be way off with that, probably some cool stuff happening that isn't well known. Cool plugin fs. Oh yeah, and the centre big control could be a parallel mix knob for the processing that's on the 3 bands. That way you keep the 3 bands and the band frequencies/crossover - but don't get any phase issues bc you're not introducing the raw non-multiband signal.
Joshua actually said the highs you don't want hitting but here and there or its too much highs in your mix. And if its hitting over 1.00 thats to much as well.
Quick question Joce So you mix with the plug in active. When I bounce it to send off the the mastering engineer would I leave it active or deactivate it? Is it just a reference plugin?
This plug-in made me realize I didn't have enough mids in my mixes
It’s crazy right
Me too.
That’s what I’m saying!!!

You can also push up the input 1-2 db to get your mix louder! (and using the middle knob too)

we need a video on how u mixed and mastered the song please man its sounds dope thanks for your time
You got it bro I’ll sort that out asap
3:15 This plugin definitely needs an autogain/loundness compensation! 😁
Great video Jocelin, I’d deffo cop one of those T’s
Good choice!

the tee is clever af 10/10 would rock that!!
I appreciate that bro

Hey if your sending it to the mastering engineer I would send 2 versions one with and one with out
break down these vocals so clean!
Might do it on live next week
Loved it until I got the master plan plugin now I hardly use the particle.
Ooo might have to check that one out
I like master plan for mastering, but mixing TPG is where its at 100%
@@SPD87327how do you use it just for mixing? Do you put it on individual tracks?
@@SPD87327what’s tpg
Anyone could get the same results using OTT, so what's god about it?
I’ll have to do a a/b comparison, maybe a good video idea, and god particle is just a great name for a great sounding plugin
@@mixedbyjocelinyes please do that
need that shirt
God Particle Gang stand up!
For real 🙏🏼🙏🏼
The amount I use is between
20 to 50%
Good to know bro I’m going to mix in to that % see how it sounds
I didn't think i would say this but ozone is better
👁
Limit A 🤣
Did u mix before it? Its suppose to be mixed into, just curious what u did before it
Hey thanks for the comment I have a video on my mix buss and how I use it check it out
But yes I do mix into the plug-in
