The Child Visa (Subclass 101) is a permanent visa that also allows the child to travel to and from Australia for up to 5 years. They can remain in Australia after 5 years however If the child wants to travel overseas after this time they will need to apply for and be granted a Resident Return Visa or alternatively apply for Australian citizenship.
This visa allows a child of Australian parents who is currently outside Australia move to Australia to live with their parents. The child and any dependants who apply for the visa with them must meet health requirements. In summary, you cannot have a health issue which is a threat to public health such as Tuburculosis, Polio, HIV and hepatitis, Ebola Virus, and Yellow Fever to be eligible for the Child Visa Subclass 101.
The Child must have consent of all relevant parties to migrate to Autralia. The Department will only grant this visa to a child younger than 18 years if either:
    · the child has the written consent of everyone who can legally decide where they live, or
    · the laws of the child’s home country allow them to leave their home country, or
    · it is consistent with any Australian child about the child
The Child Visa (Subclass 101) costs several thousands of dollars to apply for. To ensure that your application is to get your application done right first time and to avoid unnecessary delay, contact myself, Mark Pelley - Principal Migration Agent for Visas To Australia.
The Child Visa (Subclass 101) requires substantial documentation to support claims made in the application. This process can be lengthy and confusing. Failure to correctly apply for the Child Visa (Subclass 101) could result in a rejection from the Department of Home Affairs and having to reapply and to pay all costs again.

please help My situation is this: I'm a 19 year old currently in Aus for my gap year from England (pom ) and l've decided I want to remain here for uni. I hold a British passport HOWEVER my father remarried an Australian and he has just been granted full PR. International uni fees are a bit steep so l'm trying to see if I can use my fathers permanent residency or my stepmothers citizenship (born raised Aussie) to access HECS for uni. I was looking into it a bit and stumbled across the visa subclass 101, though it states it's for children it says if you are a full time student you may apply for the
    101. 101 is for foreigners who's parent/s are a citizen/hold PR and if I'm granted the 101 i will also have PR. But here is the caveat, I need to prove l'm a full time student to get the visa however I can't afford the international fees. So I was wondering if I can get an offer from a uni without paying any term fees and before I start at the uni I can then prove for the visa that l'm a student. I hope I described that clearly please do offer any guidance. Thank you!

hi,im applying for the 101 of my biological child, the form directed me to a question where I have to attach a copy of the court order giving me sole legal right to determine where the child shall live...
is this really required? and how to get it? all evidence from passport to birth certificates shows he is my child..

My father is an Australian citizen and I am wanting to migrate for permanent residency and eventually citizenship. I finished my A-Level studies last year and want to go to university in Australia. I’m not a student right now, do I need to get back into education before applying? Thanks :)
