Do you have any ideas when and how many rounds there is a month drawing 190 491 nominations?
Do you know when was the last time you had occupation 141111 apply for a PR with you as there are very few in our days being processed I believe, at the same time is it worth waiting especially in VIC for the above occupation with ROI submitted with proficient English and salary ove 90k while EOI results come at 65 points.
I think people are screaming for staff in hospo but the government is just drawing Chef's rather than FOH staff such and managers this brings pay lvl higher for managers and it is good but chances for nomination are very slim I guess🙄

I recently got my NSW 190 invitation, but found out some minor errors in my EOI. Can I make changes to that EOI? Or I can only submit my document to NSW government since I can no longer change it even if EOI is not locked in the system? Those minor errors don’t affect my points. Thanks.
Well done Estelle. If the errors are minor and do not affect the points then NSW is unlikely to worry. You can make the changes to your EOI to correct them
I wish the government would just get rid of the age limit all together. If people can work in their own country as long as they can still do their jobs successfully let them have the same rights overseas.
Stop the ageism attitudes. Allowing all people who are willing, able, and ready to work makes sense.
Just take a look at most of the Heads of State, Prime Ministers, Presidents they work past the retirement age. Usually older workers have more experience, are loyal to their employer. Will contribute towards society in that they hold off retiring.
This helps them stay fit. Mentally stimulated and not an invisible member of society just because they are older.
Let all people travel and work until they decide not to.
Freedom of movement and freedom of choice. Many people over 60 plus can and want to work part time, share jobs, help their children out with their grandchildren babysitting, childcare. This important role helps their children work full time also.
Surely this makes sense overall

That may not be a problem as it depends it the state does not mind. Your EOI will automatically adjust so at the time of invitation your points should be lower Neketa

I was just informed today that I will be receiving my interim medicare card soon. So I wanted to ask you if I could cancel my private health insurance once I get the card? I am just scared that this might cause a cancellation to my 485 visa, especially that it is only the interim medicare and I haven't been granted my 190 visa yet. Thank you.
Thanks for your support Mariam. Medicare is a whole different government department I do not focus my attention on, sorry. Doubtful DOHA will be interested in swaping the medical insurance issues
I don’t think interim Medicare card is considered “sufficient healthcare cover” according to DOHA website. The best approach would be to keep paying for your current OVHC until either
1. Your 190 is granted, or
2. Your 485 has expired and you are on your bridging visa A, which should have no condition attached.
Whichever comes first.

The 491 condition says, holders of 491 can't be granted 189.
So if someone has an active application for both, then 491 is granted first. Does that condition apply in this case?
Frank Schedule 2 of the law for the 189 visa outlines how the visa can be granted and what constions. If 491 visa exists when the 189 is granted then the 491 visa just gets replaced.

Could you tell me if I've got 1.2 year of work experience and VETASSESS cuts off a year and says that I have only 0.2 years but I claim my whole experience as relevant, can it be a problem in the future? Either I claim 1.2 year or 0.2 year as relevant, it doesn't give me any points. Can CO refuse my visa because of it?
We have no problems in claiming that year that VETASSESS cuts off. However NSW has a different policy to everyone else. Book a time if you are not sure about what to claim or not to claim Colin

Further, the timeline provided by the new government for processing 189 visa is 3 months and my application has already passed 3 months and 18 days, but yet visa is not granted.

I am single and none of my relatives are Australian permanent residents or citizens. So, it feels like I should declare my parent and sibling details. However in form 1496i it is mentioned spouse or kids are only considered as family members. Please give your valuable opinion regarding this.

I am just hoping you will clear the air for offshore candidates as well. I applied for 491 visa in May'22 and 190 visa in Nov'22. If 491 visa is getting granted, I would like to move to Aus immediately, follow 491 visa conditions and wait for 190 grant. I was advised that there is no violation of any visa condition if I do this. Just want to know if this is okay or am I missing something here?

Sounds fine. As long as you comply with the 491 conditions while you are in Australia. Once the 190 visa is granted then you are free to move anywhere in Australia Saajid.

Does convert to a 191 visa require proof of English proficiency? and is there a possibility to hold visa 491 while waiting for a 190 visa?
Please check the eligibility of 191 visa. I don’t think there’s English proficiency requirement for 191 visa. As for the second question, you must hold 491 visa or have held 491 visa for at least 3 years before you are eligible for 190 grant, otherwise your 190 application will be refused.
Hi Carl, thanks for your helpful videos to a larger stakeholders. Just a small question. I have applied and paid for 491 visa in Dec 22 and currently the statusis received in IMMI. I received VIC 190 nomination last week and applied for this. Will this be an issue and when do i need to withdraw 491 visa application? Thank you for your response.
You need to withdraw your 491 application immediately if your 190 is granted before a decision is made on you 491 application. However, if your 491 is granted first, your 190 application will be refused as your last substantive visa now becomes 491 and you have to hold that visa for at least 3 years before you can be granted a 190 visa. I think it is possible to withdraw your 491 application and just wait for your 190 grant, however, please DO contact an MARA agent to confirm.
Make sure to properly withdraw your 491 application in your IMMI account. Deleting the application DOES NOT mean your application is withdrawn.
Please highlight the 476 visa...applicant are waiting since 2019.

Your welcome Igor! Best to keep your application simple and not claim the work experience points if they are giving you more points than you need. You just need to reach the points you claimed, no benifit claiming more.

Australian government message for foreigners to go back to your countries after you finished your studies. The reason we made PR hard and not giving to everyone because we don't want influx of people come to the country and become like Canada. Where there is shortage of homes and long waiting time in hospitals due to nurses and doctors shortages and as well as jobs. Because, when influx of foreigners come to the country then the jobs become less because those newcomers would take all the odd jobs and other jobs and would make the job market tough for the people who are already here and have citizenship. And more population means more stress on the system and country's resourses. So now you have good education and it is better to go and build your countries. Sorry for the people who are here and waiting since 10 to 15 years to get PR. And if they don't get PR until now they won't get in future too. So don't be stubborn and waste your lives.

Albo was just being kind and inclusive, it has nothing to do with immigration, many people get to citizenship through a partner visa or with a refugee visa, not all of them are there under a nominated skill, many others simply change their skills and jobs, don’t extrapolate everything he said as though it was an official immigration statement 😕

Hi Karl, I travelled to US for a corporate training that lasted 02 months in 2012. Few month after returning, I received email notification that my visa is no longer valid and if I wish to travel again I have to reapply. I was never provided any reason for this decision.
