@Lep91 it definitely does. We lucked out and did the upgrade for the original price (399 instead of 599). Faster setup/calibration is clutch - haven’t seen a major jump in accuracy but it is better. Just be wary of the lead time if you send it in for the upgrade! We’ll get a review out soon, send over any additional questions!
I have owned the Soloshot 1, Soloshot 3 (twice over), and now have the 3+. By far, the 3+ has been a game changer. For those of you that are still on the older versions, the 1 spin calibration is so clutch. I am super happy with the new version relative to the old. My only pet peeve is that you can only charge the tag (remote) on the camera itself, even if the camera is 100%, you have to plug it in to charge the tag. They should sell a separate dock or charger for a tag so that you don't have to plug in the camera. Maybe there is no negative affect to plugging in a fully charged device. I'm not a battery or electronics expert. :( Also, at 5:55, an additional 10 minutes to set up on the older version is so frustrating when the surf is pumping. You are watching the crowds get bigger, your buddies catching waves, while you are pulling your hair on shore. LOL The 3+ fixed all that. Literally 2 minute setup, most of it is setting up the tripod. I turn the tag on at the car, the camera as soon as i pick a spot. Then while it is booting up, I set up the tripod. 1 spin and you are ready. crazy how much better this version is. I may have to do a review also, since it is so much better now. Cheers guys
The trackers are not waterproof, especially the newer ones, i had two got in water and died. The one from 3 years ago somehow still working. I started put it under my wetsuit at the arm strap spot
Probably depends on the production batch. Two of my older ones lasted 3+ years, one is still working and one died out of no where. Then the rest two i got from 2nd market, died after couple times in the water, and you can see steam in the button area. My friend got his new from their website but got in water too, they did replace him a new one since it was within warranty.

1/9/2024 (1/30 update below): On 12/1/23, I sent an email to support because my tag wasn't working, nor charging. I found out, on my own, that I needed to discharge the camera battery so that the camera needed charging. Only then would the tag charge. However, it took 26 days for an email reply to this tag issue. However, the rep asked if I had any other issues and I was able to share an issue that just came up a couple days prior. So, this next issue could be considered a 2-day response. On 12/27, I was notified I had to send my camera in due to issue #2. I sent my camera back on 12/27/23 and am currently waiting for it to return. 1/22: Received slip that looks like my camera is at the post office. 1/30: After setting up my camera, it didn't work. My new problem is that, even though my tag is tracking, the camera tells me that I need be tracking a tag. I received an action from support on 1/24. I completed the action, still doesn't work and am waiting for a reply since 1/25. 1/30 pm: I took my camera out to a baseball field and it worked great. Emailed SS to let them know to drop my last issue.
Jeff!! We’ve been back and forth with SoloShot because our unit wasn’t working. We just received a replacement last week and are currently testing. Hopefully we’ll have enough data for you soon! Let us known if you have any questions ….we’re using a 3, 3, and 3+ 🤙🏼

Depending on your use, sometimes the leftover salt can impact connectivity and charging. We try to rinse them after each session, which might help?
