We had just purchased some new riding gear to ride on the highway so we were testing it out.

Vent covers are something we always have had on our truck campers and of course are on our new camper. We can run the Maxx Air Fan just fine with the appropriate cover. During hard rain my rain sensor on the fan does close the vent because there is enough moisture in the air. I need to look at it though, I think I can shut the sensor off pretty easily with the remote. From spring to fall I keep the vents open all the time even when the camper is not in use. Winter use I open them as needed when in use to let out moisture.

I will have to look at the vent covers because that would be great.
Yes you can turn off the rain sensor. On mine I have to do it on the fan itself.

I dont know if you will remember but we were camped next to you at Linville. I was curious what the road is like past wisemans view on 105, I've never gone past wiseman. I'm wondering if it's smoother, then ride up to wisemen. Cause it can get a little rough in a pickup.

      Oh yes, we remember.
It’s still Old NC 105 until you reach the other end of the gorge and little town of Linville (Not Linville Falls) 105 remains about the same rutted and ruff in some places until you hit pavement at Linville. We turned off just past Lake James State Park on to Fish Hatchery Road which was a left. then a few miles down we turned left on to a forest service rd.
It was nice having you guys as neighbors.
