I'm in south africa and had 2 falcons. Most of what you gripe about is down to owner maintenance. Apart from roof liner and rust. Roof liner is cheap to replace. Rust - well dix it as soon as it shows. I serviced my vehicle as per service advisory and never had a days issues. The only reason I got rid of mine was that spares become impossible to obtain. At 360,000 kms I needed a waterpump. I had to get one online from Oz. When I researched things like shock absorbers, window switches and other normal replaceable items I found the same thing. No parts in SA. The only other complaint I had was fuel consumption. Fuel is not cheap in SA. Personally Ford AU made a big mistake in closing the falcon plant
Holden vs Ford is Australia you are team Red(Holden)or Team Blue(Ford). Me I'm a Holden guy however nowadays I appreciate saving Fords. In a Perfect world the Mighty Lion and Fords would still be Aussie made
I hate when people only use water in cooling systems,I get it if your in a bind and have nothing else,my vx Commodore was ran on water before I got it and the amount of flushes it took to get it clean was rediculous
Better than most cars in the same class. Fuel usage depends on the driver's attitude. But yes, spares are a big problem. But lot of spares can be substituted with other brands.
10.2 seconds to 100? Something wrong there. My TS-50 does it in less than that even in economy mode at 3/4 throttle, it does have a sports 2.5" exhaust on it though and the engine has been very well maintained.
