Lewis leaving McLaren was such a massive call. It has to be one of the best career moves in the history of motorsport. There was no guarantee Mercedes would eventually be a contender whilst historically McLaren are and he had obviously won a title with McLaren. Massively worked for him and unfortunately McLaren have got worse. Compare this to Alonso who has unfortunately made an absolutely terrible move in going to McLaren.

Yes there was. Everyone saw after Nico Rosberg won their first Grand Prix in 2012 that they were going to be a future contender. It was confirmed even more when they were planing ahead for the Hydrid Era more than any other team was at the time as soon as it was announced. Their domination since is purely down to all the planning they did and been far more prepared for 2014 than any other team. Even without Hamilton they still would have dominated. You forgot about Nico Rosberg and all he did for those 3 years from 2014 to 2016. The very fact he scored more points than every other Driver bar Hamilton shows the Drivers World titles was always going to be theirs regardless and considering how easily and how big a margin they won the Constructors in all 3 of those years, again it's pretty clear even without Hamilton a midfield Driver would still do the business for them or they would have just got Fernando Alonso who was on their shortlist as well as Hamilton and would have easily snapped at the opportunity considering how poor Ferrari were doing. You are crediting Hamilton way too much when the results say otherwise.

Obviously it can be as short as mazepin 😂

@@SelfImprovement1111 it’s kind of a ridiculous sport. Very interesting for the audience but drivers don’t really get that. You either aren’t successful and leave, are successful and leave like a Nico Rosberg, are successful and stay like Hamilton and others, or are successful at some points but then fade into the abyss like Kimi or Alonso. But there’s not much time, and someone is always after your seat so majority of drivers don’t even get the opportunity to become a Hamilton or Schumacher, much less actually becoming them.

It's a crazy Masonic world, so anything is possible, and this guys accent sounds fake. F1 is staged, but the public still can't see it. People running up and down steps...Monaco is a frantic, small pit lane. Mercedes made a mistake last year with Lewis. It happens. Unfortunately for Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull pit crew made a terrible error that may have costed him a win. However, Mercedes should celebrate and be thankful that they minimized mistakes

AyrtonHamilton2785 F1 being rigged is not an opinion, it's a fact. It's all Freemasonry. Hamilton pitting last year at Monaco for no reason was 7 coded, meaning it is staged. They had to give it to him this year to make up for the staging last year. They then staged it again with Red Bull, the most reliable pit stop crew just conveniently forgetting the tyres. Everyone watching knew he was coming in that lap but someone forgot to tell the crew? Come on man, it's so staged, and the clues come in the number codes.

The way I see it, McLaren used Hamilton. Lewis was a puppet, a kid. You think Lie-Gate was Hamilton's fault? He clearly took most of the heat when McLaren should've been fully responsible, as Lewis was most likely following orders under the threat of not being paid, or allowed to drive.
Think about the way he changed after moving to Mercedes. He started being himself more. His personality grew and we all learned who Lewis really is.
I believe Lewis' move from McLaren to Mercedes was necessary for him to grow and improve, and become the greatest.

    • @rumblefish9

That is just bullshit right there. Lewis has gone against orders before so why didn't he insist on the truth this time? Well because he had something to gain from it. All of them got the reliability issue in the most important parts of the season that end up screwing them on champioship titles. And this has been Mclaren problem since the early 2000´s, it´s not something of the 2012 year or whatever, they have been one of the most unreliable top teams for decades now.
And everybody was "oh Mercedes you assholes, you are screwing mclaren with your engine problems", but soon Mercedes created their team, their reliability compared to Mclaren (with same engines, of course), is amazing. And this is where you see something is off at Mclaren when it comes to chassi-engine marriage, even now.

I look at the Williams sisters, Obama, Tiger Woods - it's just always the same type of haters, same type of comments. Those haters really need to get over it - nobody handed Hamilton anything. He had to work hard for everything that he got - just like every other driver on the grid! There's is just no need for this bullshit. I mean you don't even see what these drivers looks like when they are in full racing gear. They all just look like the bloody Stig! There is no memo telling other drivers to slow down and let the black driver win. He genuinely IS THAT GOOD AND HAPPENS TO BE BLACK. Deal with it! A few things most overlook about LH, he did NOT make it all on his own, his Father worked at 3 different jobs to get him a start in Go-Karts and then to keep LH on the Track, he also work as Lewis' Promoter and Manager, all the way through his McLaren years, only to be fired by his own Son once LH was a success and was going to Merc. The Father had done a very good job and was dumped like anyone else, quite Heartless and very cut throat. Another big thing is, LH is NOT "Black", his Mom is "White" and his Dad is "Black", LH is a "Mixed Race", yet he pretends to be a "Black Gangster" with his strange styles and bizarre actions. He claimed the Stewards were racist, against him, at Monaco, and that's the reason for his penalty in 2009(?). He wears Glasses as a fashion statement, Good Lord get a grip, most people that need o wear glasses don't do so as a fashion statement, I know of several who take offense to this fashion accessory. I laugh at the thought of all the Hollywood types that are now F1 Fans because of LH, these Celebs don't care for F1, they care for the exposure they'll get and maybe they want to be around LH for a little more exposure, but that's all, they are not any type of support to F1, they do nothing for the Sport, they are usually Guests of Merc and don't even pay for the weekend ticket. I will not bother to add my feelings on LH, personally I couldn't care if he was "Green" or "Orange", the man is a very good race car driver, but I have nothing else, in the form of any type of praise, for him....he has the worst type of fan, in those legions of "FanBoys", they are totally blind and know nothing about the sport of its' History, the only know LH and nothing matters...LOL, he can do no wrong,...it certainly is entertaining and a little pathetic...

After a while, he is no longer "the first black man in F1", he is "Lewis Hamilton, World champion". Respect.

Curious Cat I am the same I don't like to play the race card but I agree with all of you guys. He have been suffering all from F2 GP2, F3 I could carry on. The English pundits, mostly former drivers are jealous of him. Anybody that have been watching from Formula Ford to Formula1 for over 40 years like me knows what Lewis went through. How hard they made it for him. Like a German F1 supporter wrote in a comment a read when Lewis won is 4rd tittle " They so much downplay the black man, now he became their best ever F1 pilot and hero. Because he's going to win that 5th title one way or another."

Evidently Lewis feels he made the 2014/5 car. I think Ross Brawn had more to do with that team than Hamilton because he put all the right people in the team and he had left by 2014.

They started working on the 2014 Mercedes car from 2010 so they knew they would be competitive plus that was what ross brawn told Lewis in 2012. Also he only raced 1 season 2013 which they were already faster than 2012 season so he really didn't build the car. any true F1 fan knows that lol

really they were working on the 2014 car in 2010? were the 2014 regulations even official yet in 2010?? i mean i know they probably knew the turbo v6's were coming, but could they know for sure enough forthcoming details to start a car that early?

Noumaan Hussain, the same rules that Renault pushed for as well. The same rules that Ferrari agreed to as well. Rules are the same for everyone. Its no different to anything in the past. When Schummacher was winning, do you complain or you were too young? Many moaned and they changed rules to try and stop Ferrari winning. What about when Redbull were winning?
