  • Ray Price was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996, a recognition many felt was overdue not due to his career longevity or hit records, but because of his profound impact on country music. Price pioneered a rhythmic honky-tonk sound in the late 1950s that reshaped the genre and influenced generations of musicians. Raised in East Texas, Price initially aimed to become a veterinarian but found success in music after serving in the Marines during World War II. His breakthrough came with Columbia Records in 1951, marking the beginning of his influential career in country music.

Amen, what a voice. No one will ever be like him. I have loved his music since I was 16 years old. His music and voice are amazing. What a wonderful tribute.

Thank you so much for this. I programmed country radio for many years and had the privilege to MC, some even in that room .I programmed the first stereo fm in Ft. Worth. Came there from KBOXam in Dallas. I left radio when computers came. It's just not the same. Amount my best memories is The times I got to work with Ray. I still listen to his music. I called him a
Continental cowboy . There's a lot more to this story. It was all in a book with photos, covered 25 years of my radio career but was stolen in a briefcase while I lived in Hawaii. I'm still not over that. All that said this carried me back to late 60s-70s a great time. Then... automation. Thanks again. Ol' dj

He was a favorite of my mamas (b. 1928) and here at 55 I'm I listen and have memories to last till my end on earth. Ray and so many on this show will live forever in my memory! Gods Blessings to you all!

Got to see David Ball at Gruene (Green) Hall around New Braunfels Texas. My wife and danced to EVERY SONG HE PLAYED!
One of the Best Country Concert/Dances I’ve ever heard.I was a frontman most of my life and it was nice being able to finally get to dance to some AWESOME Country music.
Moved to Nville a year later and met his lead guitar player that was always very helpful to me,& had actually played w/David that night in Gruene.

I have just recently found Country's Family Reunion and I love it, but I'm having trouble finding episodes. I've seen season two but no season one, volume three no one or two and episodes. I'm totally confused, can anyone point me in the right direction to watch from the first show to the last?
