He was always my favorite and I had bought his greatest hits CD about the time I met my second wife. We had only gone out a couple of times and she invited me to come over to her house for new years eve 2003 not really knowing what we were going to do , and somehow we ended up dancing in her kitchen to that Ray Price CD for hours, and I fell in love with her that night. She's gone now, but I'll never forget that night.
I"M 85. IN THE USAF 1958 AT LOWRY AFB, DENVER, RAY PRICE APPEARED AND SANG IN A BOXING RING. A HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR .HE MADE SURE EVERYBODY GOT A SONG FROM BOTH SIDES OF THAT RING. HE WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH TOO!!!!! THEY DON'T COME ANY BETTER THAN RAY PRICE. RIP RAY SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have Apple Music and I will admit - Ray Price is my country singer and Jeannie Seeley is my favorite female singer.. I was born in 1944 so I grew up with Ray.
I was born in 1943 and I too grew up listening to Ray Price. He is one of my top 3 favorites Seeley is near at the bottom of the barrel for me Martina McBride is my fave female singer and Jean Shepard is next. I wish JS had recorded It's Such A Pretty World Today.
I love Ray PRICE HE WAS AT SILVIS ILLINOIS SILVIS COUNTY MUSIC AND GOT HIS HE WROTE HIS NAME ON PAPER FOR ME I WAS SO HAPPY WE HAD 21 SILVIS ILLINOIS COUNTRY MUSIC
Ray Price loved to come to Helotes, TX and play one of those great honky tonks, Floore's Country Store...I saw him 5 times and the last time I saw him he was looking tired, he was in his 80s, but that voice was still strong and awesome. ALWAYS a huge crowd when he came to perform. Great memories of seeing him perform. R.I.P. Ray Price and thanks for all of the music you left us...
During my stint in the Dallas /Ft.Woth radio market... I got to work with Ray a little. He was top shelf! As cool as a morning breeze. Some hard time near the end but it doesn't change the results. One of a handful of greats. It was easiest to talk to him at the old Panther Hall Ballroom in Ft.World I tried and tried to talk him out of the coolest boots I've ever seen, but they were too small.
i like all the old ones i am child of the 50s there are a few new artists that are bringing back the older more traditional CW music which brings back them memories
A good friend of mine,Steve Palousek played steel for him for a few years. Ray set the standard for the 4/4 Country Shuffles. NO ONE will ever do them like Ray.

If you are not aquainted with Ray Price and Marty Robbins , that's too bad. I'm going to bring them to your attention. Both men super, super, super stars; well-respected by their peers. Enjoy. 🤗

Johnny, nice singing, nice voice & song. Enjoyed. Thank Johnny.
Ray Price was the first country star I ever saw in concert. It was in Sharptown, Texas, in the early 70s.
One of my all time favorite singers, I have no idea how much money I spent on the juke box playing For The Good Times back in 71-72
Bill Mack wrote "Drinking Champagne" one of my all time favorite songs. George Strait does a petty good job with it too!
I’ve heard that Lauderdale sits in for Yoakam when Dwight can’t be at some rehearsals.
He’s got a Great Cali. Country vocal.
He just got a new fan.
Sounded Awesome Jim.
it's sad but it's true - someday we have to leave - and we'll never will be listen to country music again ... i guess
Met Ray in 1964 in Maryville Tennessee. Great guy.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing
Jim Reeves is hardly mentioned but Jim took country music to Europe, the African continent India and Sri Lanka where country music wasn't heard of.
Fricke was just here in Buffalo Tx.for a friend of mine’s Bday on 07/13,Parthena Newsom.
I had a gig or I’d have been there.
Another good friend of mine,Lou Rochelle, was friends will Darrell McCall.Lou co-wrote “Still A lot of Love in San Antone”that Darrell cut.

I think that Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra both were thankful that Ray Price was in a different music genre from theirs!!
This is Jeanette nail I'd love to meet you Janie price ,my late mom knew Ray price, mom passed 2 months shy of her 100 bday ,in 10-4-2020 mom's bday was 12-24-1922
I noticed Janie fricke's singing Engelbert humperdinck's version of Release Me that was not the same version that Ray Price did
Wish Willie Nelson could have been there!
