This video was so helpful! My mom and I used your tutorial to size down a skirt, we had never tried anything like this, and it came out beautifully thanks to you! we couldn't have done it without this video! Thank you so much for making this! :)
You should, but sure that the waistband is really simple. This is the type of waistband I look for. The jean skirt ones are super complicated to alter.
This is extremely helpful. Got a floral skirt that I liked but is huge and need to resize it. Now I have more knowledge on how to do it thanks to your demo. Really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I just got a super cute skirt from my local radio station’s thrift shop but didn’t realize how big the waist was!! Such a helpful tutorial cause now I don’t have to get it professionally taken in
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! You are very good at what you do and you give perfect instructions.I am not a seasoned seamstress and my skirt, after using all your instructions, turned out wonderful! Thank you!
Hello thank you so much for that video your videos are so easy to understand you have a lot of patience I can tell and did you really love someone that means a lot to me I appreciate that I have dresses some of them have long sleeves I don't know how to take them in can you do a tutorial on that please thank you and I wish you much success
Yes get a long rectangle piece of paper. Width is quarter length of your waistline, then your desired length. Slash and fan the hem it by 2 inches apart. Be sure to not cut it all the to the waistline. Just fan it out and you will get an A-line shape pattern. I hope it makes sense what I mean.

Wow, I need to do this! I have an oversized skirt, which touches the floor. It would be perfect for this! It's more of a stretchy jean. Do you think that would be a problem?

I'm glad to hear that you found this helpful. Anyway, no the stretchy fabric should not be a problem when taking in your skirt.

Why couldnt you sew from the waist band to the bottom? Once you get to the waist band I get confused
I think so the raw edges can be tucked in.
Thank you!
Like For You 😊Thanks 💋
Awesome!
Amazing!
Thank you!
I don't have sewing machine so I can't do this I'm sad
I'm doing this by hand! It can be done
Thank you!
You need to increase the volume on your videos. Very hard to hear.
I suggest that when you say "do the same to the other side" that you don't need to show us a second time. That gets boring. Good otherwise😊
Thank you I know it can get redundant but when I don't show the same process then one will say I didn't show it.
