This is a different techniques than most videos I see. Thank you so much!!! 😁 The other videos I usually see are with the slit in the front or the back. If you don't like the slit then you're forced to add fabric to fill it in. I may end up having to fill in the slits on the side if I go this route as well but it'll have a different look to it than having this filled in slits in the front or the back. I am attempting to make a skirt out of army style pants that have the reinforced crotch pieces. I've done it once before with an actual pair of army pants that had the reinforcements in the knees as well. This is my second pair but these ones are a little bit different. They're also one size too small so I'm going to have to open the side seams at the hip to give myself room. Lol this project has been in the making for years back before I had a baby when the pants actually fit me. 😉 After watching this I feel inspired again! Awesome video! Wish me well. 🙂
Welcome to the wonderful world of sewing. 🤗 I’m honored that my video is your first project. Enjoy the process and feel free to ask any questions along the way. You got this! 💪
Thank you. I like side splits more than filling in gap in the front.
Hi there, your work is so neat, this skirt looks like it's store bought, perfect👌
Thank you! 😊

Glad I could help 😊
Thank you!
can this be done with a straight seam in front? no crotch curve?
That's a great question. It sure can! I kept it because that's the style my client wanted but it definitely can be done without.
Great ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love it
Great video. Thank you.
How do you reinforce seams after undoing them, please? Thank you.
What this means is to sew a reverse/back stitch over the end of the seam so it doesn’t unravel any further. Hope that helps!
@@tiffanymichey Thank you for clarifying.
