    A little bit disappointing that you didn't go into the fuel efficiency difference between the brands. More MPG means more money in your pocket as an owner.

    I will say there are a lot of older Peterbilts and Kenworths still on the road in the United States and Canada.

    I just bought new GMC Sierra HD AT4X with Duramax. With all fees etc etc it came to like $140K CAD. That means those heavy haulers are actually really cheap, or pick ups are waaay overpriced.

    Explain to us why American trucks and semi-trailers do not have suspension lifting and lowering regulation like in European ones? There would be fewer accidents at railway crossings and viaducts due to the trailer blocking.

  • @Shadownian
    @Shadownian 6 дней назад

    If freightliner would fix their damn suspension so that its not literally breaking your back, then Id never drive anything else. They are arguably the most fuel efficient. The cheapest to maintain. And they have by far the best cabinet layout and ease of use, even if the hinges are cheap as hell. (Like the fridge that NEVER stays closed.)
    But until they get that fixed, Ill stick with my Volvo VNL 860. Its smooth as silk and never causes me back issues, but the cabinets are less user friendly and its harder and much more expensive to get parts.
    Please Freightliner....fix your damn suspension! The truck isnt supposed to cause harm to its user in every day use..
    As far as Peterbuilt and Kenworth. I swear they are the Harley Davidsons of trucking. Basically people with more money than brains buy them because of the brand name alone. The types that like to tinker and work on their trucks all the time. Cause I swear after driving both, that they are held together by bubble gum and hopes and dreams. I have never had as many panels fall of any other truck as I have a Kenworth/Peterbuilt.
    And Mack, just feel very old school. 50 Million gauges for every little thig you never wanted to know. Plus just being basic and kind of the oddball to drive and get used to.

      Geely (6.8%; 15.5% votes)- China

    Hi to all, My favorite truck in this episode is none of them. If you want a superior truck you have to get these European Trucks Manufacturers Mercedes, Scania, Volvo, MAN, and DAF. These are better built and everything about them is awesome. There is no question in my mind that they are obviously superior than the United States counterparts in every aspect of the world truck industry. Peace to all.

      Yes, all new trucks are cabovers, except for a few trucks that are converted from coes to hooded. But they haven't always been. Before the 70's "normal" trucks (that's what we often called our conventional trucks) were more common than cabovers. And for example Scania made hooded trucks until 2005.

    Paccar Engines SUCK we have a Fleet of 27 trucks 8 with Cummins and the rest with JUNK which are always in the shop for Engine Codes. We have both KW and Petes with the JUNK engines in them so it's not the trucks it's the engines and don't get me started and the Crap Automatic Transmissions. Buy a Cummins that's made out of Metal not a Paccar that's made out of plastic.
